I just kited and killed Hans in a 184 minute game as the last man standing [t]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/430448599227385519/3BDD18D148FF21F412D1029E1A89E40D03469DA8/[/t] I need to get a life. I know it's only Hard but god damn didn't that grind my gears
Is the medic any fun? His guns are my least favourite aesethically and from what I can tell he just seems like a beefier commando who heals.
Honestly, I don't like him. I hate using his guns with the exception of the AR, but he's a requirement for higher level play if you're not solo.
Is the medic any fun? Right now medic plays like a shitty commando copy with healing darts.
I'm trying to make a client-side skin. I've made some changes to an existing package in the sdk and it works just fine in the editor's game preview, however ingame it's still default. The package sits in my documents's kf2 folder, in unpublished. Do I have to publish the package somehow if it's not a map? Copying it outright into the game directory makes the item have a broken texture. Can anyone help?
Is the medic any fun? I don't like the Medic SMG or Shotgun, using just the Medic Pistol or Double Barrel Shotgun until I can afford the AR.
Medic is a symbiotic class. A top tier berzerker becomes absolute bullshit with a top tier medic. Medic helps hold a decent team together, but can't actually do a lot of heavy lifting on it's own. So needless to say, if your team is really bad, playing medic won't fix it. It will make life easier with a moderately good team because the combination of fast, steady healing and medic grenades are able to keep everyone topped off and safe. Bonus points if the medic has the perk that allows him to give armor out by healing, because it's a major money saver once he has the AR. Case in point: [t]http://i.imgur.com/83liOsS.jpg?1[/t] If Sapphr hadn't been coordinating with me and healing the ever loving fuck out of our team, we would've never made it to wave 8. We constantly had people joining, dying, and quitting which made every wave that much harder. Hell on Earth: The only difficulty where your teammates are a bigger liability than the ZEDs.
Personally, I hate the AR, and run SMG/shotgun. I love playing medic for those guns and the healing grenades alone.
Personally, I hate the AR, and run SMG/shotgun. I always bring one with me on a Hans wave, regardless of class, just because of how good the healing potential is.

The sole fact that you get a boosted recharge rate AND can fire three darts in a row is a huge life saver
I don't much care for the AR but i like the shotgun and adore the SMG. It's got such a bonkers firerate, decent accuracy and pretty manageable recoil in bursts, so i can just track it across a crowd at head level and end them all.
Yeah. Especially useful on sirens and husks Also I don't see enough commandos calling out the HP on fleshpounds / scrakes. But then again I don't see many people using mics even at suicidal/hoe

The issue being that I don't really play commando much anymore because Firebug is just too damn good :v:

Also yeah, I really wish more commandos actually told others how healthy the big ones are. Most of the time if I see one of them low on health I just tell the rest of the team to pile on the pressure
I hate being the last guy alive, making a terrible mistake and dieing.I was a demo and there was a wounded scrake and a bloat left, I ran around the map looking for ammo. Ended up getting armor before the ammo pack, loaded my RPG and grenade pistol. The scrake was raging and catching up to me, so I got in his face and shot him point blank with the RPG, knocking him to the ground, and I tried finishing him off with a HX-25 shot, but accidentally pulled out my medgun and healed myself. I wasted my time with him being knocked over trying to pull the pistol back out and get the shot off, then running away. He had caught up to me and was hitting me in the back so instead of juking I pulled out my knife, turned around and started parrying while backing up, to which the scrake responded with relentlessly spinning and hitting me faster than I could parry until I died. Even though my team said nothing, I could feel the disappointment. Fucking embarrassing.
I hate being the last one alive, I can never clutch. Especially on hans. mainly because I don't play zerk/medic, I guess.
I hate being last alive not because of how annoying it is to take care of the remaining 90 zeds with a SG500 and DB, but because of how zeds teleport so fucking much as long as you cut line of sight on them for more than 3 seconds. Nothing is more fucking infuriating than soloing a Scrake only to find that the trash+sirens that were with him in that room just now had teleported into the room behind you and are now trapping you.

I like how most players don't know that the melee bash can stumble Scrakes and Fleshpounds if they haven't been knocked around a little. It's saved by bacon quite a few times.
So I played level 1-3 medic and tbh it's not that bad. I never thought healing gives you fucking money and I can get plenty of that and xp by just spamming darts into squaddies fighting big zeds. Guns still look like fucking toys though and they look too damn similar, which I realise is intentional; but IMHO it was a big mistake. Like some of the charm of KF1-2 is that every perk had some iconic weapons and then in KF2 mixed that up with some perks having outlandish final weapons like the microgun and the eviscerator. Medics like you got a high cal pistol, then you get a high cal pistol that shoots full auto and finally you either get a high cal pistol that's a shotgun somehow or a longer auto pistol.
Medic weapons were always meant to be extra attachments to the base platform Also, the SMG is actually weaker than the pistol (it doesn't 1shot headshot trash) and I think the Medic AR can be compared to the AK-12
Today, after two-three days of playing Firebug I learned that Microwave Gun has an alt-fire. My friends were not happy :v:
Today, after two-three days of playing Firebug I learned that Microwave Gun has an alt-fire.
Its kinda useless if you run the knockback perk, cause you'll be knocking zeds back with primary fire anyway and it does tiny damage, wont even kill a clot on hard.
It's actually great in emergencies if someone is getting bumrushed and you need to shove a scrake or FP away.
[...]I tried finishing him off with a HX-25 shot[...]
I don't think you would have killed him anyway. You are pretty fucked as a demo if you are the last one alive.
Bring back M32 for Demo.
when does zerker get chainsaw
I don't think you would have killed him anyway. You are pretty fucked as a demo if you are the last one alive.
It was more to just put some more damage on him before I ran off to find more ammo for my RPG and fumbled and got sodomized with a chainsaw
when does zerker get chainsaw
Apparently the deformed child of the chainsaw and buzzsaw bow is supposed to be enough. :/
I hardly use the chainsaw function. It's more cost effective and useful to spam the bash attack.
