I still think penetration for Supp doesn't make any sense. You'd think that a class that was designed to take on the big ones with the low ammo count hinting it would have something like extra damage/stumble and not some anti-trash ability like penetration.

I don't see what's wrong with just playing for fun, with whatever loadout/perks you feel like. Sure balancing needs doing but who cares what difficulty people play on?

Most of KF's fun is in the challenge.
Normal starts to get boring after a while. Then hard starts to get boring.
Then you start playing suicidal. Then after you lose all social life, you start playing HoE.

It's precisely that you have such low ammo count that you make every shot deal massive damage to large zeds and anything behind it that might get in the way later.

Either the rest of the team are carrying you or the solo scaling is way overzealous then.
Seriously, this isn't even a 'tryhard' thing, there is very little leeway in this game for using offperk weapons. I wish it wasn't the case, I'd love to be able to use whatever is fun and still be effective for whichever role I was playing, but it just doesn't work that way post-normal difficulty (and once you get the hang of how the game works normal provides [I]no[/I] challenge).
I hope that i can still use the M1911 efficiently without gunslinger
I prefer that pistol much more than the Beretta

That or any other handgun really. I don't like the Beretta either, and I'd like to be able to replace it with any other handgun easily.
I got votekicked out of a suicidal server for telling a lvl 25 berzerker to stop running away from scrakes and to use his parry.

This is why I was hoping this game would allow you to sell your backup pistol and knife.
The demo should get the backup skill rather than that crappy skill that gives 10% damage to all non demo weapons. It hurts to play demo.
Demo is terrible on lower levels in general
Every weapon and it's ammo are expensive and have rather low ammo counts, and the grenade pistol is just worthless in the long run but you pretty much have to have it on you because there's no other bigger ammo backup weapons that you can still carry along the big ol' RPG for the Demolitionist

I don't play zerker often so I was wondering what to use as him and what the strategy should be. I'm still grinding on hard so I can eventually play suicidal, any tips?

Zwei everything. Hit big zeds in the head really hard.
Ranged Berserker feels really strong. The nailgun is both a really strong shotgun and a really strong sniper, it never runs out of ammo either if you are smart about using the firing modes and it's also dirt cheap. It actually feels pretty imba to me.

Gotta admit I never used it and I am almost a level 20 Berserker. What are the benefits over a Zwei except for the range.

The closet you can ever get to some sort of explosive hat is when you have C4 and Hans is siphoning health from someone, you quickly run up to him and toss C4 on his head, they all stick and now Hans has a explosive hat.

It's a far fetched and maybe hard idea but with there being more room for VA maybe they can get Harry Enfield for it

A dev on the Tripwire forums said they reached out to him for the first game, but he refused.

I remember his original intent in KF1 and I found it offensive. You typically had serious or insane, but understandable, characters up until that point. Commando Chicken and Baddest Santa actually seemed to fit well within the game's "universe." And then one day you had:

If Harold Lott was just Harold Lott and not a customized $5 joke that others have to endure, I wouldn't mind.

I get what you're saying. Personally I never liked the character anyway because he is straight up an obnoxious reference to a comedy skit.
The particle effects were blatantly there to justify the price, but 'premium' characters just left a bad taste in my mouth. In fact most of the later DLC was bad. They went from character packs which had 4 totally unique characters who really fit the world to bizarre steampunk skins (which were still pretty good imo), and then lone 'premium' character DLC, and then community weapon packs, and finally weapon skins, before the last death rattle of the god awful neon skins.
Really got to wonder what was going on there. Also if they brought Commando Chicken back into KF2 I would be quite happy, it was my skin for a long time after unlocking.
Bring back the actual commando chicken not that shitty robot imitation.
