Most of the stuff that got accepted look pretty good although the welding mask item makes me worry that Foundry Worker Aldridge won't be coming back if everyone can have a welder mask.
Had a quick scan through what items were accepted into the workshop. Looks fairly decent to me.
Except this.

I wish that awful pink RPG-7 skin got in.
Looks like a port of a model from another game given a ill fitting reskin to try to meld it into Killing Floor 2's world.
Looks like a rejected planetside 2 helmet.

i don't get how it got in. the devtac ballistic mask is literally a real thing and they're trying to get it added to the game without any sort of legal consent?

Better than the Briar Pig Head.

This is the same group that made ripoffs of some of Payday 2's president masks and a Terminator mask with the serial number filled off. They don't give a fuck.
Can somebody inform Devtac pls
What does a weapon artist really do? You've already got all of the weapons designed for the Gunslinger, just look at the gun's diagram or get one at a range and take a bunch of pictures of it or something. Hell, you can even secure a replica or something for a base model, then you detail it in with the real counterpart.
Is he the guy in charge of the textures?
Yes, surely gathering the reference material is the most significant part of the asset pipeline.

If they utilised cool modelling techniques they can take a 360 degree photo of a gun, project camera alignments in Maya (Maybe even 3DSMax) and model using the photos at whatever obscure angle you want - so instead of the tradition orthographic shots they can model every single detail - no slacking B^)
Their weapon artist feels fairly amateur in all honesty.
This is the stuff I like to bitch about while waiting, not moaning about having to wait - might as well fill it with other stuff I guess.

I want a refund, honestly. I feel like Tripwire severely mislead early access buyers regarding the timeline and estimated ship date for the game, and I wonder if it'll be another year before I get what I thought I was buying. Definitely turned me off of early access for good.

I don't want a refund, KF2 is still a good game and it'll be even better when we get more content. All the waiting just reinforces that TW is still an amateur developer.

They have five games and have published four others and have been working on games since at least 2004-2005 and Killing Floor 1 and Red Orchestra were rough but fairly solid games, so imo they're hardly amateurs. Bottom line is they hyped up an early access title, something people were already wary of, to huge heights and thusfar have barely delivered on it. It's still a good game but i don't think wanting a refund is unreasonable.
I'm in the middle. I'd want a refund on principle, but then would ironically rebuy when it finally has a full release mid-2016 or something. So there's no point.
But I've learned my lesson for buying into Tripwire's "we're big boys now" lies and won't be purchasing anything from them in the early access and launch day categories. I thought this might help me save a little EA face, but I'm ready to swear off it for good. Too many developers that have grotesquely misplaced ambitions about how fast they can get content out.

The majority of those cosmetics seem pretty bad. It's as if no thought at all has been given to if the items actually fit the characters or not. A few of them aren't too bad though.
The pilot shades are pretty cool
I don't have to use old-man shades anymore
Yeah, having an early taste of the game when it's in an extremely early state would obviously tarnish the product early for alot of people, especially with such a well-known and widely loved game like Killing floor, people would've expected better from KF2 right off the bat.
I really feel like they shouldn't have had such a huge emphasis on 'doing their beta well' or even having an open beta at all, given with how little content there is at the moment, alot of veterans or people who were hyped from the beginning are going to burn themselves bad on the unfinished product. Everyone's expectations are pretty high and their delivery time is horribly slow and not really keeping up with people's interest given the huge chunks of time KF2 suffers from between updates.
Though i'm just stating the obvious and this is already to be expected from any title that gets released into 'Early access', KF2 is suffering a bit from this decision I would think, since the game is no where near finished in its current state considering most of the classes and alot of the content is extremely limited.
Can we please have Aldridge and Thorn back? Those were my two favorite characters.
The problem lies more with Early Access than Tripwire to be honest.
Don't get me wrong, Tripwire are still at fault for hyping the shit out of kf2 and delivering in a really slow fashion, but EA allows that to happen. You should be held to a standard for early access, and be required to deliver content on a timely basis. There have been a few Early Access projects that were basically abandoned because the development teams made enough $ on early access sales on the promise that the game would include certain features, that they felt comfortable with their sales and basically ended development.

I say they're still amateurish because they keep having ridiculous management issues with their games, which is odd because as you've pointed out they've been a developer for a long time.
I personally just feel like they shouldn't be having these issues after so long.
Should have seen it coming with RO2's release, to be honest.

No, but you can have a new completely unrelated character instead!
I kinda wish they would've added a character that looks like he'd fit the gunslinger instead of generic biker dude

What else could they have added? A fuckin' cowboy?
I mean yeah, that's actually what I expected too. With Tripwire it's either stupid memetic crap or generic non-memetic but really generic stuff. They do have really cool designs like that super armor dude, but they're few in number.

not a cowboy, but I'd like to see another old man character, but make him in the style of an american korea/vietnam vet. The kind of guy who could use any weapon, and wouldn't look out of place with a pistol in his hand.

You know, a Hickock lookalike would be cool. The guy is pretty much a friendly looking grandpa, but he also can use any gun accurately.

You'll have to wait for the L4D/Killing Floor crossover Steam promotional.
