It's mannconomy but for kf2, cool I guess.

Thanks for updating your EARLY ACCESS game still.
Are you fucking serious? They're doing this whole crate-bullshit shenanigan too? What a goddamn slap in the face.
Is there anyway to earn the new stuff without forking over real money. Because boy that'd be a steel toe wollap to the scrote if not. In an unfinished game none the less
-Snip-
Drown me in clocks
I would be ok with this if you could get the stuff for free within the game too.
So whens our Killing Floor:Global Offensive meltdown?
literally fucking crying
Can I refund a game for the reason "bullshit"?
nothing can top off what overkill did with pd2 though
Can I refund a game for the reason "bullshit"?
Oh calm down.
As long as it stays purely cosmetic, I could give less of a shit.
Just finish the fucking game and stop acting so disgustingly "we're being so nice~~~ by still updating our unfinished game before we shovel out some DLC."
http://killingfloor2.com/Zedconomy/
Okay.
get fucked TWI
I'd be very slightly more okay with this if the game was finished first.

at least the man finally gets his suit back.
DLC is dead, crates that require microtransactions are the future. TY TF2 for ruining gaming for people with poor impulse control.
snip laate
Also maybe i misread but it seems like there will be drops that aren't crates as well. And because they're purely cosmetic it's not as cancerous as Payday 2
http://killingfloor2.com/Zedconomy/
Okay.
The game isn't even fucking halfway done, and yet they are pulling this shit already.
Come on, Tripwire. Codemasters might have economical issues too while making an Early Access game, but at least they have the decency to ,you know, at least finish the content they promised at the start while not even begging for more money like this.
Nothing to complain about. Their reasoning in the FAQ is just fine.
Free drops, that you can sell on the market if you don't wanna take part in it. It's literally free money if you don't wanna be part of it.
Assuming that the original creators from the Polycount contest also get some of the share from the key purchases in the store, it'll function just like the TF2 crate system which works fine.
Don't freak out because of what Overkill have done to their game. They did it wrong, and from what I can read in the FAQ, Tripwire knows how much of a shitfest that was, and still is, so don't worry.
It's a way to additionally fund Tripwire and the community content creators through in-game purchases. More money for Tripwire means more content for us in the future.
Yeah as long as some of the stuff is only cosmetic and some of it for free I'm ok with this, not gonna affect my purchase
I honestly wouldn't mind it if it weren't for two reasons.
1. The game is in early access. And their excuse for adding it is absolute bullshit.
and 2. the RNG that is "crates". Just allow me to buy whatever I want. In that case, I would have been okay with it. But yeah, I'm probably gonna play the game anyway cause it's still a fine game. But this is a business practice I frown upon.

I'm completely okay with them adding crates/droppable skins to the game because it lets me work for something more other than XP when I finally 25 all my perks. But see my post at the top of last page. We don't get balancing, we barely get bug fixes, but we get fucking microtransactions.
Seriously, their priorities are all fucked. Should have been a sign when they added the scavenger hunt nonsense at the beginning. It's a really awesome idea to add some sort of earning to the game and increase the meta but save it for at least 75% completion.
I don't exactly mind the CS:GO business model, even if it feels kinda uninspired to just straight up copy the whole thing. It's purely cosmetic and at least you get to trade items and sell shit that you don't need. But the timing of this certainly couldn't be worse with how long they're taking to release actual updates to the game and all the recent Payday 2 drama.
And while you're all bitching about the fairly meaningless skins, let me point out to you this bit:
Q: Are there consumable items that temporarily boost a stat or perk experience gain?
A: No. There are not currently any items that will boost stats or perk experience gain. We will be listening to player feedback on whether they would like a feature like this.
Q: Will I have to spend money to remain competitive?
A: No. All of the content added in Trading Floor at launch will be cosmetic only and not affect gameplay in any way. In the future we may be adding weapons with new gameplay for sale, but this will appear in the “Shared Content” area on the server. This means that, if any player on the server has a weapon (like the Chivalry Zweihander now), then every player on the server will be able to use it. No-one gets any “advantage”. Co-op game - everyone starts out equal! Our goal is for any such weapons to be side grades anyway, so they won’t provide an edge over the current tier of weapon power.
It's basically the paid weapon packs v2 confirmed. Really, Tripwire? You went through all this trouble of adding a whole economy to the game to generate extra income, you could have the common courtesy to not fuck people over by forcing them to purchase extra gameplay content. They literally copied the whole CS:GO model except for the most important bit.
Tbh this isn't all that bad, I just hate the "OF COURSE WE'RE STILL UPDATING IT!" schtick they put into every single fucking update they produce. "Free Content Pack!!!" It's an Early Access game y'all ain't saints.

The "shared content" thing means that only one person needs to own the fun new weapon DLC for everyone to own it.
Part of it is that the game is only just approaching the halfway mark for completion that makes this a little disgusting.
I'm not actually upset about the implementation though, if it stays cosmetic. Especially if the drop rates are semi-favorable, I can just ditch the crates onto the market for free pennies, and there's an actual store to buy whatever dumb cosmetic I might want.
The weapon bit bothers me, however, because it seems like an easily exploited avenue for them to shovel on any new weapons outside of the original 4-per-perk onto said store. And their sense of "sidegrade" is laughable, at best.
Seems fine to me. Not fine for people without impulse control, but that's their problem. As long as skins don't give added bonuses it should be fine.
You could atleast finish the game before taking a big old dump on the design integrity with skins.
Granted these are nowhere near the level of shitty of PD2's skins, but man. I was actually kinda looking forward to things making sense in KF2.

yes but considering the zweihander in its state right now, they can't balance sidegrades for shit.
I am so glad they do this. It is the best system for making sure the product stays profitable without giving players with more money an easier game.
