After playing lots of kf2 and looking at the dev diary footage again, I used to say: "Wow! Look at that gore!" Now I say: "Don't waste a $5 shell on a single clot! That's a waste of money!" and "No! Stop magdumping your L85 on 3 clots! You're gonna run out of ammo!"
Y'know when it boils down to it, only the crates are the microtransaction part. In another way it's like TF2's Mann Vs. Machine where you find free loot at the end of the game. I guess for the most part as long as there's a free alternative, and these cosmetics and weapons don't modify any numbers, it's ok. But ffs, finish your game first, tripwire has their priorities mixed up
Remember when you could earn unlockables through playing the game and having fun
I miss TF2's Milestone system.

Even then, you needed to do several runs (IE buy several tickets) to get enough robot parts to craft functional items that actually do something. I also remember it being not fun at all, as it was grindy as fuck and full of hardasses that demand you play X class because of some bullshit "meta" that was arbitrarily established by the community and deviating from it at ALL is grounds for being kicked, as nobody is in it for the teamplay or fun, but the items. That's definitely NOT an avenue we need KF2 to go down. But I can see it happening. Hopefully not, but at this point, I wouldn't bet on it not happening eventually.

Sure it's pve but you still need to know what you're doing. The reason you had to pay to get anything is because valve doesn't like giving away stuff for free. In a free game it would damage the economy and stuff would be worthless just like refined metal ended up being.
Games don't need economies built around virtual items, and it's sad to see another game go down that path.
I did a small video about this for my channel, figure I'll post it here since I feel it's relevant.
Gunslinger + patriarch will come out and everyone will forget about this, guaranteed.
like, it wasn't a surprise that skins were going to be in the game. what surprises me is that they're adding in this shitty slot machine bullshit where you aren't guaranteed to get what you want.
In the end the two share the same idea. The difference being, that people moan only about one of them. I let you guess, which.
Gunslinger + patriarch will come out and everyone will forget about this, guaranteed.
only for people to realize sharpshooter was also supposed to be in the patch but whoops they didn't have enough time to make it
I wonder how good Gunslinger will be at dispatching the big Zeds. I really hope it isn't just straight up better than Commando :( Not that the other perks already aren't
only for people to realize sharpshooter was also supposed to be in the patch but whoops they didn't have enough time to make it
SS was never meant to be released with Gunslinger where are people getting this from.
SS was never meant to be released with Gunslinger where are people getting this from.
They said they could've released SS along with Gunlinger, but they have some new tech for SS (could be really cool) that wasn't ready yet.
SS was never meant to be released with Gunslinger where are people getting this from.
It was, but since they couldn't finish it on time, they moved their team to finish the Patriarch. So now it's gunslinger + patty update, instead of gunslinger + sharpshooter. It was never intended to be gunslinger + sharp + patty.
They said they could've released SS along with Gunlinger, but they have some new tech for SS (could be really cool) that wasn't ready yet.
Didn't they say they started working on gunslinger instead of ss? At least that's the way I understood it.
I wonder what could be that new technology that is being developed for the Sharp. Multiple ricochet Xbow darts? Explosive ammo?

Mann Up can be fun if you bring at least a friend or 2, or if you just do the easy tour.
I wonder what could be that new technology that is being developed for the Sharp. Multiple ricochet Xbow darts? Explosive ammo?
That seems way too simple for something like cool new tech. I think it will be something much more interesting and complex.
That seems way too simple for something like cool new tech. Maybe they will do something like the microwave gun to the firebug? A sonic weapon maybe?
Gunslinger + patriarch will come out and everyone will forget about this, guaranteed.
Don't know man. All my friends that play it (and by extension, myself) uninstalled after the announcement. Too late to get refunds, but not to remove ourselves from the player count and horrible trading community that will spawn.

Or perhaps they are going to add brand new engine features. No idea what would enhance SS tho.

Imagine someone trying to kick you just because you won't trade your skins during a game to them, or hell, imagine trade servers/people joining regular lobbies spamming "WANT TO BUY X, SELLING Y, TRADE ME."
No one is going to forget, mainly because of the very low likelihood of them releasing balancing patches. It was so, so obvious that they only tested Demo with the nuke perk.

I wouldn't mind some sort of low-powered weapon who had heat seeking rounds. Rounds that tended to seek out clots and other trash-mobs.
Gunslinger + patriarch will come out and everyone will forget about this, guaranteed.
but what if they decide to release zedconomy in the same update
Going it solo in anything is a bad idea, but it makes you more reliant on yourself and you learn how to deal with it also the harder the tour the bigger the score bb gimme that diamond encrusted robot skull
I didn't mean going solo, I meant that there's a specific roster of classes and playstyles that the "meta" consists of and deviating at all is something you get instakicked for. IE, it's unacceptable for there to be more than one of each required class/any class that isn't part of the "meta", so those that refuse to change/conform get kicked. It's monotonous and tedious to play the same set of classes 4-5 times in a row per tour, so I like to do something different to keep it from being a chore. Unfortunately, I got kicked almost constantly for it too. When I did decide to do as they said, it was boring as fuck and I eventually got so incredibly bored of it that I quit entirely after only a few days of playing. I really don't want anything like that to happen in KF2 with pub games being full of hardasses like Mann Up players that require people to always play a certain perk to fit their idea of what has the highest chance of winning, just so they can get a prize at the end. Ideally, if the team has good players, you can win with any combination of perks/classes and have the flexibility to mix things up a bit to break the monotonous grind. But, it's extremely hard to find a Mann Up game that consists of even a few people that can see that.
I wouldn't mind some sort of low-powered weapon who had heat seeking rounds.
