I think that if tripwire wanted to rework this microtransaction deal, they should either: 1. Delete the crates, usb sticks, grades, quality, and make a store where each skin is for 1 dollar each 2. Drop a crate that can be opened without keys that has 3 random skins

It's just that people bitch 'n moan a lot differently about things they're used to (slots) compared to things they're not used to (microtransactions). Regardless of the morality of it all, inflation alone dictates that we're going to be seeing surcharges of some form becoming a lot more present until/unless games move to a higher price-point. edit: Apparently KF2's visual design philosophy amounts to ROOOOOOOOOOOOIIIIIIIIIIIIDSSSS. What makes you bet his healthbar is as inflated as his bi . . . well, his everything actually.

My biggest issue is that it's like they totally ignored his original design. What's with the giant arm? Where's his chest tentacle? Where is his mustache? Where are his glasses? I bet he's just gonna go "GRWARGH" "GRUUH" instead of having his classic lines.

I hate how they turned him into a generic mutant with some implants. stop fixing what isnt broke god damn it.

It's not like the original Patriarch was some revolutionary inspirational design, it was just a fairly normal dude with a gun and weird chest burster. Couple Flesh tenrils too, it's not like he was that amazing to look at.

What a disappointing redesign. I mean, like, holy shit, the other old zeds are hardly redesigned at all, what the fuck Although then again isn't the original Patriarch from KF1 like canonically dead? It's not a super amazing looking design, but honestly it's not like the KF1 patriarch was an artistic masterpiece either. He was basically a beaten up big dude with a chaingun for an arm and a ridiculous looking chest tentacle. It's not hard to imagine that in the time between KF1 and KF2, he did some additional genetic modifications to himself, upgraded the machinery bits and did some roids on the side. Looks about right to me.
