How about instead of being a smartass, you actually provide valid reasons why KF2 and Payday are not similar games? Literally no reason to be acting that way, I'm not insulting or looking down on either game. Co-op gameplay consisting of 4 or more players. Hordes consisting of "normal" units mixed with a variety of special units, witty dialogue among the players, huge variety of guns and perks that allow you to customize the way you play. They are similar games, I never said they're the same.
and that has nothing to do with microtransactions.
and that has nothing to do with microtransactions.
I wasn't talking about microtransactions. I was just stating the games can easily be compared in some ways.
Stop fucking comparing it to Payday 2.
Swing and a miss, I was hoping for chuckles, not exasperated sighs. By the way, they have similarities and differences. And considering that they're both ""small"" (not really) developers suddenly implementing microtransactions into a paid game, I think it's a perfectly comparable scenario as long as you account for the differences, like the hardline stat bonuses for Payday 2 and the fact that theirs dropped the ball basically overnight, whereas we were given a huge heads-up warning for this and haven't even gotten to test it yet. You can't just go "their not similar" and call it a day, because it's one of the most comparable scenarios we have, despite the differences - many of which I didn't even bother to list.
We get it, you hate KF2 now You dont need to remind us
Killing Floor 2 is foundationally fine, as I have expressed before. It's actually a really fucking good foundation, but that's kinda what it still feels like. Tripwire's poor balance, community interaction (in terms of development, letting game journos get early early access etc), and rate of development is not fine. I've definitely gotten my $30 out of it (133 Hours and counting), but I can still be dissatisfied because I expected better of Tripwire (my fault, honestly) based on how they described and hyped their product. I can feel a little cheated when initial expectations of a game launched before 2016, egregious balance fixes that don't take 4+ months, and non-questionable development focus don't occur. What might have been an uplift for my relationship with "Early Access" games has become the final nail in the coffin. (Shoulda quit after Starbound.) It's not because I'm having a wicked knee-jerk reaction and "lol this will all blow over and we'll be happy again" - it's because as a fan of the series, I don't like the direction or pace it's had. And I have a lot, lot of experience with those vibes and watching games led by decent-or-better development teams splatter all over the road, or worse, time and time again. You start to get a pretty good feeling for when things are starting to go sour after the fifth time around. Killing Floor 2 is in no way immune to that, which is why I voice my dumb opinion on a niche video game forum, so at least later, I can either tell myself "I told you so" or "wow I was really fucking wrong wasn't I." Hopefully, it's the latter.
So besides Gunslister and Sharpshooter, are any other perks planned?
So besides Gunslister and Sharpshooter, are any other perks planned?
SWAT and Martial Artist, as seen from the files.
Sounds neat, I wonder how they'll play out
I'm really curious about what SWAT will be like. It'll be disappointing if it's just the SMG class.
All I want for SWAT is the SMG/Riot Shield combo.
More defensive version of zerker?
Maybe SWAT is LMG/Shield, like a turret class
I really hope the SWAT's knife will be a baton instead. I'd love a nice loud THUNK when I smack a Cyst upside the head.
All I want for SWAT is the SMG/Riot Shield combo.
I bet they make the shield weigh 10units so all you are left with is a mega shitty pistol or machine pistol.
I bet they make the shield weigh 10units so all you are left with is a mega shitty pistol or machine pistol.
Upside would be that you can take two melee hits from bosses instead of one.
I really hope the SWAT's knife will be a baton instead. I'd love a nice loud THUNK when I smack a Cyst upside the head.
It would be so stupid if they did anything other than that.
I hope that swat has a riot shield that allows you to charge through low lvl zeds to stagger them. Then maybe have the door basher thing for big zeds, so when you alt fire it staggers them.

I'd also be down with having more armor than other classes by default.
I can only imagine Zeds complaining about SWAT having a riot shield, like in this video:
im 99% sure that hans automatically homes in on the medic for his melee bullshit im almost fed up to the point of leaving the server once its time to fight hans fuck this dumb boss
Is it just me, or is the game getting a big influx of new players shitting up servers. Many are joining difficulties higher than normal where they should learn to how to play than game and not treat it like COD. They are just being useless, dying quickly, and forcing the only good players to carry. This usually goes on up until about the 7th wave under best conditions.

So is this skidmark of an update due next week? [editline]28th November 2015[/editline]
REMEMBER ME? [t]http://i2.kym-cdn.com/entries/icons/original/000/000/495/REMEMBAH.jpg[/t]
You know, I think I made this post after only being out of bed for about 60 seconds, and grossly underestimated how much of an esoteric reference it was. I'm surprised anyone caught it. Props to you all.
Anyone noticed Foster's voice is muffled behind his gas mask?
Anyone noticed Foster's voice is muffled behind his gas mask?
yeah but for some reason no one else is like I get that he's always wearing the mask no matter what cosmetic changes you make but DJ Scully is the same way and he isn't mask muffled even though realistically he should be *knocks on wood* also when they first muffled Foster he was nearly inaudible so I really hope they don't muffle more characters

Just a little cloth draped over his face. Doubt that'd muffle you much.
I'm gonna be really glad when the Patty returns If they didn't fuck him up he should be much, MUCH better to fight than Hans in every way
I wonder if it'll be on certain maps or if it'll be randomized.
The thing that will make or break patty for me is if he has a stupid damage resist shield when he gets low on health. It always felt great to kill the patty so quickly that he can't even heal once.
I wonder if it'll be on certain maps or if it'll be randomized.
its randomized

Also from the aesthetic design he doesn't have much mechanical parts that could generate a shield
tbh Hans is a shit boss
tbh Hans is a shit boss
If he didn't have artificial, forced gaps he'd be ok. Say, he can heal if you let him, but if you're good enough you can stop that by hitting his tank and making his jews leak out or just dodging out of the way of his grabby-healy.
