Killing Floor v8 - Come Out, Come Out Little Pigs!

Hans needs attacks that suit his character better. He shouldn't just charge in like some sort of monster. He's a 100 year old Nazi scientist on mobile life support. He should attack from a distance and let the zeds do the dirty work.
If he didn't have artificial, forced gaps he'd be ok. Say, he can heal if you let him, but if you're good enough you can stop that by hitting his tank and making his jews leak out or just dodging out of the way of his grabby-healy.
I actually found out recently that you can stagger him while he's grabbing someone to heal if you throw a molotov at him and set him on fire. It'll cancel the healing, but he'll just go right back to chasing someone down to heal. That could be a somewhat fun mechanic if it was modified a bit.

It's faster to just let him siphon the jews out of a player, then go back to killing him after. He has a stupidly high damage resistance while he's in that state.
Have I mentioned how Hans is a terribly designed boss?
I spent way too much time on this shit drawing but this is Hans in a nutshell.
I'm gonna go rethink my life choices now.

Hans is stupid for his forced phases
Like people said, with the Patriarch if you were good enough you could destroy him before he even heals once
I can only imagine Zeds complaining about SWAT having a riot shield, like in this video:

That just gave me a flashback to when everyone on CTs decided to make a shield pyramid in the corner of a map. Took a few minutes for the Ts to find us and about 30 seconds to clear us out with grenades and bullets.

new favourite description for Hans.
When are the new updates coming? Don't have much time lately to keep up with the news, sadly.

December, they said they have something for us this week tho.
I bet that something that they have for us this week is a sneak preview of the thing that we're not getting until next month.

Don't do that or you'll end up like me eating paper

New preview videos, including Gunslinger and Patty, as well as the new maps.
Just release the damn thing already.

Looks amazing
Oh my god this looks fucking great, I hope we get a release this week or next.
Watching a bunch of journos I don't know or care about get earlier access to the update is really salt in the wound.
Glad to finally have some outdoorsy maps though. Seems a little weird that they bothered with a destructible house to circumvent a welded door when people already don't really bother with welding doors or the skills that go into them.
More or less no point in welding anymore because everything is so fast

Early Access.

Fuck off, they cost more than entire character packs.
Early Access.
Not defending their horrendous release schedule or their continuing practice of trying to showcase the update and let a bunch of bloggy websites play it earlier, but -
They did implicitly say in the past that they wanted to release updates bug-free as part of their "ea done right" slogan. There are a lot of solutions around this (like a test branch), but this is one of the few cases where we can't just go "but it's Early Access" as a retort.

Wow....Jesus. Even in TF2 it's not that costly for a fucking hat.
[editline]1st December 2015[/editline]
Not all of them I mean
I am happy with the update but the balance changes are shite.
(Other than the zwei nerf)
Demolitions confirmed to dwell deep in TWI's trash can for months in the foreseeable future
Supplier-type perk talents (Support: Supplier, Demolitionist: Grenade Supplier) now show an icon over the squadmate who has an active supplier skill available to the player
YES, Finally!
They're actually attempting to balance the perks? How about that. Took them forever, and I see it as far too little (75+ HP still >>> +4HP a kill.) Or it's in the wrong direction, like nerfing vaccination and armament rather than making the other perks actually useful. (The one that poisons Zeds with darts does only a tiny bit more damage, over a long block of time, than a single 9mm shot or so.)
Least Gunslingers' perks actually look trade-off-y rather than being objective upgrades drafted by someone who never played the damn game.
Yeah, I don't get why they decide to nerf a few of the good perks for some classes in the game instead of trying to get the other perks to the same level of usefulness.
Especially since the big zeds (Scrakes and Fleshpounds) will still be unchanged, and thus will be even more massive damage sponges on everything above Hard.
No spoken lines for fleshpounds? I vaguely remember them going to add KF1 style zed lines starting with this update.

The destructoid article says the FP has new sounds, but that he couldn't hear them well due to problems on his end.
