The negativity isn't because the product is bad, it is because people are (rightly) peeved because progress on the game is ridiculously slow.
http://forums.tripwireinteractive.com/showpost.php?p=1406606&postcount=1
yea, I complain a lot but I love the game, I just burn myself out on games quickly.
Well I guess that's another 3 months of Demo being jack-shit useless especially since Nuke got nerfed. All they had to do was to add M32 and Demo would've been much more fun to play as. Still hyped for Double Deags+AA12+Double Barrel combo though.
http://forums.tripwireinteractive.com/showpost.php?p=1406606&postcount=1
I couldn't give less of a shit about how long they say it takes. They shouldn't have peddled the early access with "our goal is the end of 2015" when they're clearly not going to be anywhere near that. This is a horrific estimate of time management at best and lying through the teeth at worst.
http://forums.tripwireinteractive.com/showpost.php?p=1406606&postcount=1
I didn't know that people thought they actually weren't developing it. I thought most people just thought that TWI were incompetent. Also, while I'm not a concept artist, 3d modeler, or animator, 65 developer days seems insane for just one weapon.
It is, that is absolutely ludicrous, and they kept peddling random graphs (Some of which were literally made up with wrong numbers), and now they say they "Don't have time for balancing demo" my fucking ass. There were problems day fucking one with the perk, and it was apparently 'play-tested' before release, there is absolutely no excuse.
http://forums.tripwireinteractive.com/showpost.php?p=1406606&postcount=1
I'm really perplexed how they're using agile/waterfall without a list of features or features board. I get that you can't have an exact roadmap, but it's not like it's unpresentable.
It's kinda funny because with them testing these things and taking so long, when they end up being bad changes/have glitches it makes it just that bit more hilarious :v:
I'm really perplexed how they're using agile/waterfall without a list of features or features board. I get that you can't have an exact roadmap, but it's not like it's unpresentable.
I have a feeling they have a different understanding on what agile development is. You still have focus areas in agile development so that you can actually get shit done.
they also used outdated data for one of their graphs to make it look like they were doing more work than they actually were, and after being called out on it they actively denied that they were wrong.
So how long do you think it would take to whip up a "clean" look for the M1911s once the update hits? I'm not too bothered by them but it'd certainly be nice to have the option.

A modder could probably do it pretty quick, but I don't think that you can play online with skin replacements.
Early Access is the worst thing to happen to modern gaming.
So how long do you think it would take to whip up a "clean" look for the M1911s once the update hits?
LITERALLY INFINITY MAN HOURS EVERYBODY AT TWI WILL NEED TO WORK ON IT UNTIL THEIR DYING DAY 60 TEXTURE ARTISTS WILL NOW NEVER SEE THEIR FAMILIES AGAIN I HOPE YOU'RE FUCKING HAPPY YOU INGRATE
Early Access is the worst thing to happen to modern gaming.
Microtransactions.
Early Access is the worst thing to happen to modern gaming.
It's certainly not a "better" business model than traditional release. Here's what your sales look like on EA source: https://medium.com/steam-spy/some-things-you-should-know-about-steam-5eaffcf33218#.7hbgol6j9 The revenue spikes on the game releasing in early access, but after that it tapers off and doesn't pick up for the full release, making it not that similar to traditional release. This runs counter to the belief that with EA you get 'two releases'
Makes it incredible tempting to just say "thanks for the cash!" and leave, though.
I give TWI credit for that I suppose. It might be taking a pretty damn long time to get updates out, but they're gonna get the game done, It'll take a while but it'll get done eventually. But they could really benefit from gradually implementing balance changes rather than throwing them out into the wild and not bothering to tweak them for another ~2 months or so. If not a Beta that's constantly updated then that would be nice, at least.
Early Access. EWWWWW [t]https://i.imgur.com/COU3Edh.jpg[/t] Fuck off, they cost more than entire character packs.
I'm on the fence about supporting KF2/TWI. The game is still fun when it has content but I do not agree with the microtransactions system and it seems TWI doesn't give a shit. As futile as it may be, I usually am an advocate of vote with your wallet/interest. [editline]2nd December 2015[/editline]
Early Access is the worst thing to happen to modern gaming.
totalbiscuit was right and i thought twi would be different due to them normally being alright guess i'll stay away from early access outright now. Also probably will be heavily reluctant to buy another TWI game ever again as I thought they were cool but how wrong i was.
Something came across my mind Patty's bombard is either gonna kill the fuck out of everyone instantly indoors or just be a completely hilarious thing to see
Something came across my mind Patty's bombard is either gonna kill the fuck out of everyone instantly indoors or just be a completely hilarious thing to see
Is it bad that I hope for it to kill the fuck out of everyone?
About 4 months and $4.99. A modder could probably do it pretty quick, but I don't think that you can play online with skin replacements.
Next update will add Workshop support for replacer-style skins, and you can already play online with skin replacements; I've had KF1-style skins for several zeds installed for ~20h of playtime. (Or had, since the game hasn't been on my PC for a while.)
why does it say "bundle" if you're only getting one thing something reasonable would be getting all 3 of the skins for $5 that's a bundle
why does it say "bundle" if you're only getting one thing something reasonable would be getting all 3 of the skins for $5 that's a bundle
you get a weapon skin or something as well I think

It'd be really odd if they gave us workshop for free user-created content, cuz then it'd be competing with the microtransactions.
Is it bad that I hope for it to kill the fuck out of everyone?
All it will do is make me miss the days when player ragdolls could be dismembered. There was nothing quite like hearing "WATCH THIS, THE CROWD LOVES IT" and seeing one of your friend's corpses fly out of the rocket smoke with four flaming stumps.
random graphs (Some of which were literally made up with wrong numbers)
How do you know that?

I really don't understand the whole point of pack things and call it an update. Early Access is meant to constantly fix/upgrade the game. Warframe for example is a Free-To-Play game and I can feel that It should be under "Early Access" title because they're constantly fixing the game. They don't wait months to fix one thing. If you Highlight the problem, they'll fix it quickly.
http://forums.tripwireinteractive.com/showpost.php?p=1406606&postcount=1
More reasons to release to us the content on WIP. We are on EA, we can wait all what you need to finish it, but seriously, let us do the testing, don't let go to waste all the time you guys need only to find is bugged/unbalanced.
