Can we just mention the 1911 texture for a minute? It's fucking wank.
Haven't played in a while, any good tips for Gunslinger yet?
Use .500 Aim for the dome Enjoy [editline]6th December 2015[/editline] Also, unrelated Is there a modding community for KF2 like there was for KF1? Because.. I'm getting kind of bored with the weapons we've got now. Like in the predecessor, there were dozens, if not hundreds of custom weapons added on to servers. A lot of them were shitty, but it was something new at least

And that modding isn't really as big as it used to be.
The first time you headshot a a fleshpound with the .500 and you watch a bit of skull fly off as it staggers. It's really amazing.
I am this close to just quitting/jumping servers every time I see Hans. I've gotten to fight the Patriarch only once. Fuck off, Hans. :v:
Nazi scum, they're everywhere
"lol, let's make this skinny nazi grandpa a bullet sponge who has like three phases of invulnerability that can only be ended by having him suck the health out of one of your squad mates. oh, and give him soul-crushingly inescapable deadly melee attacks that lock on to people. the players will love that for sure." - some asshole at TWI
So PSA for the whole six people that play demo, using the RPG near the barn in the new map will hard crash almost every time. Three tries later and I can't even finish the damn map using my favorite weapon because at some point or another, a rocket kills a group of enemies too close to the barn.
Second run on Patriarch. Super fun fight, you don't die unless the medic is bad or you deepthroat an RPG, and him running away to heal is a major breather that players usually need to reload all their shit. Meanwhile, Hans goes Tasmanian Devil on everyone, then goes invulnerable to heal by trying to get right in the middle of your group. Often resulting in the guy getting grabbed, also gettin' ded on the third time unless the medic and team are on point. I hope server mods come out soon to force Patty on every boss fight until Hans is unfucked.
Surprisingly, i get a lot more Patty than i do Hans Altough Hans is a lot more doable nowadays, but the Patty is still more fun and interesting There's something enjoyable in seeing your teammates fly through the sky because the Patriarch thought you could use a pat on the back :v:
I doubt the person responsible for this will be unable to sleep just because some guy on a forum didn't word his discontent in a respectful way.
It's not only disrespectful, it's unjustified and completely immature. You'd think you would be a little more polite towards the people who are developing this game that you want to see flourish and be successful.
It's not only disrespectful, it's unjustified and completely immature. You'd think you would be a little more polite towards the people who are developing this game that you want to see flourish and be successful.
Judging by how egotistical they are about their game (people have a terribly hard time to get them to notice problems/bugs, they add in things like bling collectibles claiming that's what the community wants, and IIRC they blanket mocked the people who complained about their development practices on their own forums, and their PR is just generally shit) you could call them assholes/douchebags. Some people do get pretty unreasonable but it's not like Tripwire doesn't deserve any flak at all. Tripwire is a company that should be able to handle criticism no matter how professional or unprofessional it is, as long as there are legitimate arguments.
It's not only disrespectful, it's unjustified and completely immature. You'd think you would be a little more polite towards the people who are developing this game that you want to see flourish and be successful.
Developers are rarely active on this forum if ever. Only two that come to mind is the one animator/community guy for Overkill, and another guy for Starbound. If someone is so thin-skinned as to be offended over someone making a joke about a perceived poor design choice by ending with "some asshole", then they might not be suited for the real world. Much as someone who thinks that the internet isn't a place to vent occasional grievances out of sight of actual developers. And in that regard, I still think Yoshiro is a disconnected manbaby who needs to take a serious look at how to handle community interactions.
They need to fix the rocks in Black Forest, zeds can scale them some how and this spot blocks their line of sight [t]http://jesusfuck.me/di/RMK0/2015-12-06-00001.jpg[/t] damn thing just stood there and took 5 mags to its face.
Who cares? Do they even read this thread, let alone care that much? Are they so sensitive that being called an asshole will upset them?
Yoshiro pops in here every now and then. But ya they don't really care about what's going on here, just their own forums.
it may be a lot of people still playing gunslinger or the lack of firebugs but god damn fleshpounds feel like they have way more hp than they should, dual .500s barely scratch them it seems

If they're attacking someone else, just unload into its back. If they're after you, shoot them in the legs. The handguns seem to do no damage if you hit a mechanical part.
What's wrong with demo? I have a friend in my group who is dedicated demo and the rpg seems to take care of scrakes and FPs really well. Same for our support actually, just with the AA12. They are both essential, I don't get the hate. If anything I'm the one who feels useless (commando) because the only thing I bring to the table is health info and sharing the anti cloak perk. Granted, we haven't played HoE in a while so my experience comes from suicidal mainly. On hard I usually grab an rpg too for fun, the dual 9mm with the backup skill is enough to take care of trash.
I think someone at Tripwire was listening when I said I would play this update until I see the Patriarch. I've been playing a couple rounds every night and I haven't seen him once so far. I'm so bored, please release me Tripwire
Is there a reason why Berserker doesn't maintain the move speed bonus when using a non-melee weapon? It's not like Medic or Gunslinger stop moving faster if they use a bullpup. Or... is it?
i'd say the main issue is that demo is useless against hans.i haven't seen the patriachs resistances yet
That's true, but that's a small fraction of our round when playing on long. Man, Hans is such a low point in my games, really annoying fight.

On hard I usually grab an rpg too for fun, the dual 9mm with the backup skill is enough to take care of trash.
As someone who plays in a group in HOE a lot.... Demo is shit because of a few reasons. RPG barely does any damage against FP's, has a long reload, and takes a ton of shots to take each one out. Basically no reason to use them outside of zerk or commandos because their nades tear apart fleshpounds and zerk pulv's can finish the job. Not to mention because rpg is literally the only good weapon they have (c4 is pretty okay, but usable by other classes anyways in a pinch) it means that they will be useless until they can get said RPG, requiring money to be thrown at them by teammates...except that commandos need their scars vs scrakes, medics need the AR, etc. Supports run out of ammo way too fast and can't reliably focus fire scrake heads since they have to get so close, instead of commandos. The difficulty jump between suicidal and HOE is fucking huge, to be fair. Especially with the dual fleshpound 'gauntlet' wave. And with demo nerfed to the point of being basically unusable, theres no point in taking them compared to either another commando, a firebug, or another zerker. Not to mention demo is pretty much the only perk that is completely useless against hans and patty. He HAS to switch perks or run around like a chicken with his head cut off doing nothing. No other perk needs to do that.
they just need to give demo the m32 or at least the m4 with m203 attachment.

Hell, I had to shove in a Mando rifle into my late-game loadout to be more efficient in trash killing. Speaking of Mando, I still think he has way too little ammo. If I wanted to be careful of how many rounds I've shot downrange, I'd play Sharpshooter/Gunslinger, not Commando.
Demo is useless against bosses since Patty has 40% resistance to explosives and Hans has 50%. In my opinion Demo would be set if they added the M32 and boosted the Rpg's damage, price and weight so that it leaves 3 blocks free. 3 blocks free is enough for any pistol, C4, or the Medic SMG.
