Can we just take a second to question what the hell Tripwire's new logo is? Like why the sudden complete redesign.
I never understood why we got some shitty old ass medieval dark ages useless piece of shit revolver for the starter weapon. Why not a basic snub nose .44 or something?
I actually like those old revolvers. Not much wrong with them imo.
tripwire's new logo is like something you'd see for some youtube prankster's intro [EARLY ACCESS DONE RIGHT 2016]
tripwire's new logo is like something you'd see for some youtube prankster's intro [EARLY ACCESS DONE RIGHT 2016]
SICK DOUBLE RAGED FLESHPOUNDS PRANK IN THE HOOD!!!! [GONE SEXUAL] [GONE UNBALANCED] I liked their old logo. Edit: Latest hotfix thing completely breaks my low graphics config files. Anyone mind tossing me a new one?
Can we just take a second to question what the hell Tripwire's new logo is? It's very much out of place in KF2 what with the new worldbuilding they're going for.
[t]https://pbs.twimg.com/profile_images/672567238952488960/AtkrIyQb.png[/t]
Meh Thanks for posting it
[t]https://pbs.twimg.com/profile_images/672567238952488960/AtkrIyQb.png[/t]
That looks.... pretty generic. I like the old one better. Plus, the old intro wasn't as fuck all loud as the new one.
the new logo looks like something you'd see on an energy drink
[t]https://pbs.twimg.com/profile_images/672567238952488960/AtkrIyQb.png[/t]
This isn't useless bitching, but the old one looked better. It was unique, it had that cool whirring intro. This just looks "eh"
Can we just take a second to question what the hell Tripwire's new logo is? Like why the sudden complete redesign.
it's probably where all the budget and time went into instead of the kf2 update
it's probably where all the budget and time went into instead of the kf2 update
honestly between this and the economy update, i just get the impression that the tripwire art team is bored out of their minds and has nothing to do
The 1911 or so can be explained away since it's still a very reliable weapon even now, but that, and I quote; can fuck right off. It's very much out of place in KF2 what with the new worldbuilding they're going for.
The theme they were going with gunslinger was iconic pistols. The Colt 1911 is a gun with a long history of wartime use and are widely regarded for their reliability and stopping power. The Smith & Wesson .500 magnum is believed to be the most powerful handgun in the world. And the remington 1858's also have a rich history, having fought on both sides of the American civil war, being used throughout much of the settling of the west before the Peacemaker, and was used by Buffalo Bill for over 40 years. The Desert Eagle is the REAL black sheep of the gunslinger family. Being probably the biggest piece of shit tactic00l gun in the tree. Known for being heavy, overpriced, and generally unreliable. [editline]8th December 2015[/editline] If we were going to get a .44 Magnum, i'd much rather have it replace the Deagle brand deagle.
I'd rather not have every gunslinger weapon be a revolver.
I also accept bribes of .44 automag
Personally, I didn't think the new logo looked that bad, so I did some tweaking to it. [t]http://i.imgur.com/Gsnw7Q6.png[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/9NNRxDl.png[/t] Changed some colors, removed the giant drop shadow and added back the "Interactive" for familiarity.
having fought on both sides of the American revolution
Civil War* Sorry, I was REALLY confused for a minute after reading that.
So farmhouse still crashes a lot. I guess the QA team killed themselves over these awesome bugfixes too.

The bright yellow was way too ugly.
They have access to their own guns and gun ranges; they record their own weapon sounds and edit them as well. In fact, I'm pretty sure most AAA game developers have access to their own weapons and gun ranges. It's just a matter of how the sound engineer & designers want the game to sound in the end. Take the Battlefield series for example: they seem to focus more on the sound of the gun cycling and the bullet cracks rather than trying to make them sound beefy.
Tripwire isn't really AAA though, they're more or less right on the edge of Indie. I guess an A or AA if those even exist? And if they still do have access to gun ranges to record their sounds (considering those examples were from RO2), I really want to know how they got the current 9mm sound from a range. Maybe it's just super compressed, or maybe there was a fuckup somwhere, but it's still pretty much agreed upon that the previous sound used for it was much better. As for my take on Tripwire's new logo, I really don't prefer either of them. The original was just really generic looking (a d-pad, wow!), and this one looks like they're trying too hard to convey some sort of edgy/angsty attitude. That being said, I really don't mind either one either. The one thing that really needs to go from the KF2 intro splash screens is the one for Georgia. The happiness in the music for it just clashes so horribly with the tone of the game and the other splash screens before it. I get it Tripwire, you're from Georgia and you love your state, but why do you have to include a splash screen for it? Was your game mostly funded by the state of Georgia?
The new logo looks like it'd fit right in with an early 90's punk album where everyone has bleached hair and spiked wristbands.
honestly between this and the economy update, i just get the impression that the tripwire art team is bored out of their minds and has nothing to do
uhh except the economy update's content was entirely community made
