That only helps Zerker, personally I don't care for that because I don't play Zerker.
I personally neither like hans nor patty all that much, but i do for sure like patty more than hans. I feel both should need a minor rework at least, but right now both feel like the same boss just slightly altered, that isn't really too good IMO. They both still have about the same problems, and are kinda boring to fight.
Would be nice if they could be changed to something else than "Kite around an area of a map with lots of cover and take potshots while running, then wait for them to heal and repeat"

Hans strikes me as a hit & run person, how in god's name a scrawny 100 year old man in a UNARMOURED exosuit is able to tank thousands of bullets, litres of napalm and hundreds of rockets really fucks with my immersion and expectations. At least the Patriarch looks the part when he can resist all these attacks, Hans seems like if not for the exosuit a stiff breeze would knock him on his ass.
Hans needs a overhaul and sadly if it ever comes it'll be three months from now if not more.
He should not have a lot of health, barely more than a Fleshpounder if just even. However he should emphasis ranged grenade gas attacks and hit and run melee attacks, so he makes a loud BANGING sound and rushs in, smashes one guy in the face with his knife, and runs out while dropping gas grenades.
If you corner him he should die, his survivability should come from his incrediable speed and ability to dodge incoming fire, not the fact that I all the fucking time spend 20 minutes kiting him with a shitty 9mm pistol after he murders everyone else.
What makes this suck even more is how the Patricarch is a fantastic boss to fight, and this really emphasizes how shit Hans is as a boss.
Hans needs to be removed until he's actually fun to fight.

Hans is a shitty version of the Patriarch.
To mix up a quote from someone, "It's like 'Tripwire' finished the boss design in one draft, one draft and they decided to go with it without anyone saying that it made no sense at all".
Hans takes all the bad elements of the original KF1 Patriarch but also adds more horrible choices to it. They take the annoying melee of KF1 Patty and make it even worse, they take the insane speed of the Patty and crank it up to eleven and they somehow fuck up the healing process by giving him a shield to make him, by all intents and purposes, invulnerable.
I'm just a simple person who likes good video games, I'm no """professional""" game designer. But please for the love of my sanity remove Hans until you can fix him. I don't care how, but get him out of here and let me fight the Patriarch.
hans should be totally reworked into the stealth boss somebody suggested in this thread a while ago
the potential for predator references is too high to ignore
hans should fucking sprint around guns blazing trying to hide, only charging in to try and carve up people that get separated when he grenades
I just wish Hans didn't coat himself in Superglue whenever he wants to melee, as soon as the first attack lands there's literally no shaking him, and it always does enough damage to shred through Armor and HP, usually resulting in a near instant kill.
It's completely unfair, especially when he can launch a melee attack as soon as he's finished healing on the person he healed off of. I've had that happen to me at least 3 times and it's the single-most unsatisfying thing ever.

Not to mention Hans' current model is completely immersion breaking with how absolutely tanky he is.
A withered old Nazi can tank thousands of 9mm, .45acp, .50AE, 5.56mm, 7.62mm and even a couple RPGs before finally falling?
And don't tell me that exoskeleton does anything, he's barely armored. At least our old pal Kevin looks like he could tank damage like that considering how bulky and made of metal he is. Hans looks like someone coughing in his general direction would cause his skin to melt off. Even his breathing sounds like he's steps away from death's embrace. Hans should be a low health, high mobility stealth-based boss, not a Lightning Bruiser who's melee attacks are a 99.999% guaranteed death sentence and who's other attacks are basically laughable with the right setup.
Fun Fact: you can totally wear the alienware mask with mr foster, if anyone wants to see all of the alienware mask variants just ask ill whip up an album in a jiffy.

What if Hans had a a larger exoskeleton which required you to focus fire on parts to chip bits off it. Once the armor is removed then shooting the exposed area will let you do full damage and after each heal he also replenishes broken parts. Alternatively he could replace broken parts by ripping apart one of the 3D printing gun shops.

I feel like they just need to change his melee stickiness and his healing mechanics. Maybe make Hans heal from a horde of ZEDs, so you can lower his healing factor/negate it?
Hans just needs a way to kill him first phase like Patriarch has, instead of arbitrarily making us have to go through all 3 phases
They need to rework whole dmg system and resitance, I mean why is Hans weak to microwaves and why is Stalker resistant to them? I mean Siren and Hans should be both resitant to them because being withered poops with no liquid in them.

Volter should have no resistance at all with how fucking frail the dried-up cunt looks. How does he even have a massive explosive resistance anyway while most of his body is exposed?
Same goes for the Stalker if we talk about Microwave resistance, but she is trash anyway.
Just saying, if Hans' legit came in wearing a fucking iron-man-esq super soldier suit and you had to chip it away (aka it has massive damage resistance) to shoot his shriveled raisin body, that'd be a lot more fun.

It could be a tactical aspect that you would pull out your knife to block his attacks and maybe when he pulls out his guns, that's your window to attack him

I had idea similar to that, but it was more of a mix of sundowner and mecha-hitler.
Where hans had full suit of armour made of smaller plates that move about, when I say move about I mean they can retract, hit one of the plates for enough damage and it flies off, revealing his fleshy bits and creating a permanent weak point.
And instead of giving him gas grenades, we give him "concussion" grenades, knocks players back leaves them dazed and slows them for a bit, think of them as flashbangs but with a higher knockback, the idea being he uses them to split up the group and then charges in and claws at your nipples for a bit.
Now here comes the interesting part while he's busy clawing at someone with his back turned to the rest of the team, his tank comes into play, it's outside his armour and would remain as is a weak point, only instead of being a "shoot here for extra dmg" sort of weak point, hit it for enough damage and his armor retracts, here's where the moving plates and sundowner idea come in to play.
With his core damaged and his armor retracted he'd be staggered for maybe 10-ish seconds, this would be your breather between phases.
I also thought about him having l4d2 charger style attack where he just snatches a player and forces him away from the team, but that wouldn't be very fun if you were playing anything other than bezerker.
I dunno spitballing ideas is fun.
So I guess no one knows a solution other then to make the game look terrible?
