I wonder who even decided to cut the damage the demo does to bosses. It's pretty stupid to anyone with common sense.
I think they just gave the bosses explosive resistance so they don't kill themselves as easily. Hans' always walks into his frags and Patty occasionally eats one of his mortar rockets. They just didn't add demo's damage as an exception.
Surely they could make self damage for the bosses do less instead of all explosive damage in a game with an explosive perk.

Patty though, I witnessed first hand when I was kiting him on Outpost and he stopped to do his mortar attack but they blew up in his face, killing him. Hit the truck right next to him I think.
I remember watching an early access video where one of the devs said he takes damage from his gas. All dat info. Patty takes 150% damage to the tentacle that pops out for about a second haha. Well then, no excuse for Hans' explosive resistance then.
I want to see more weapons that serve a different purpose for a similar price. Sidegrades are they called? Like offer a chainsaw as an alternative to the eviscerator. Higher DPS but no ranged attack. Or a shotgun that fires high powered slugs. A long range high damage gun for the support that doesn't take anything away from it's shotgun specialty. And I wish the Flamethrower was an alternative to the Microwave gun. It's dreadful against anything bigger than a Husk.

They could make Demolition's weapons a different damage type, like "explosive" and "explosive_demolitions".

Support could use a slug shooter. [editline]25th December 2015[/editline] Blow a hole in them thar zeds.
It'd be really rad if Support would get a DP-12/KSG/UTS-15 where alt-fire switches between buckshot and slugs. A mag-fed semi-auto shotty that's not an AA-12 would be cool as well.
I just got this game the other day, I'm really missing the Stg44 when I play as anton.
Well, I think you can still shoot it while it's resting because it's visible as a mutant-outie bellybutton.
I assume Tentacle (if used) means only during the attack. Otherwise he'd be walking around doing the fleshpound chest cover thing.
One thing that could give the demo a huge bump in usefulness is if his explosives had huge knockback, not just stagger. He could save his teammates asses by causing a scrake/hans/fp to go flying back in a cartoonish manner.
Or more amusingly, accidentally shoot behind them and send the heavy zeds flying right at someone's face.

If you see a boss charging a long range attack, and successfully plant a grenade at his feet you deserve to deal a nice chunk of damage. It's a lot harder to time and place a good grenade than it is to just aim at the boss and unload your clip. tripwire pls
Grenades serve an entirely different purpose compared to other weapons.
Speaking of Grenades, is there any effective difference between the HE Grenade, Fragmentation Grenade, Half Stick, and Nail Bomb?
Speaking of Grenades, is there any effective difference between the HE Grenade, Fragmentation Grenade, Half Stick, and Nail Bomb?
The HE grenade is just a general purpose grenade, use it to take advantage of FP's weakness to explosive damage. It's not that great against Scrakes though (all 5 grenades take a total of 1/5 of its hp in 6 man normal). It is has decent range some bounce and just an all round balanced grenade. From what I can tell is that the fragmentation grenade deals both explosive and some projectile damage. It can clean out a group of trash blocking a hallway. It has a little bounce so it moves a bit after hitting the ground. It is a good grenade for Scrakes and Fleshpounds too. The nail bomb behaves similarly to a the frag, but has a lager range for the projectiles over the frag and for some reason is really bouncy so it's gonna travel farther after hitting the ground. The nails from the bomb behave like nails from the nail gun. Better for more open spaces or throwing off a wall to hit around a corner. Great results when it goes off in a hallway. It's better for use against Scrakes than Fleshpounds. Half stick has a stupidly long fuse time but is great at stunning Zeds when it goes off. Stops most zeds that survive in their tracks. Near useless without the contact skill because of the 3 second timer on it. The sitck barely moves from where it lands so aim well. Has poor range.
Speaking of Grenades, is there any effective difference between the HE Grenade, Fragmentation Grenade, Half Stick, and Nail Bomb?
HE grenade does a flat amount of explosive damage and stumbles. Frag grenade does about 75% the explosive damage as the HE, but fires out 10 shards of shrapnel that do piercing damage. It will do more damage than the frag if 2 or more shards hit a target. Half stick does about a third more damage and has a slightly bigger radius than the HE, but is almost half as slow when thrown. 3 second fuse time, so On Contact is pretty much a must. Nail bomb doesn't have a damage penalty on the explosion, and fires out 10 shards similar to the frag grenade. The shards do less damage, but the potential damage is still very big. Low stumble power. If you ask me, this grenade is too similar to the frag grenade.
On contact dynamite + a FP is a great way to take a big part of their health
On contact dynamite + a FP is a great way to take a big part of their health
with "on perk" it's also a guaranteed stun iirc
with "on perk" it's also a guaranteed stun iirc
That is correct, but it's best done when the FP is unraged.
That is correct, but it's best done when the FP is unraged.
Hell, any type of damage to the FP is better unraged Especially since when he's raged it's a joy having to try and aim it without it blowing up in your face
Today I was able to play Killing Floor 2 online without losing connection with my friend. Tested the gunslingers and realised that somehow that perk is much more better than Demo, seen a poor bastard tried to be useful as a level 2 demo. Fought the Patty Twice in a row, I thought that boss battle was rare though? Something interesting happened today, there was this fucking biker player who never moved at all, he is literally afk and does nothing useful what so ever, at first everyone decided to kick him out since his increasing the amount of zeds per player. But instead we used him as a bait and for money farming, it actually worked really well, dozens of zeds just munch on him, we shot them off without any risks, and we gain money by healing him, It was the perfect tactic. Except in the boss battles, he just flew to the skybox of the Eiffel Tower.

It was perfect, we farmed XP and money thanks to him, and he literally spent two whole games AFK. There were moments where we got overwhelmed due the amount of zeds, we even thought the server changed the difficulty to suicidal. Thanks to him I leveled my gunsliger perk from LV3 to LV5.
The game has been freezing for me quite often at random times, usually when a new round starts or when someone dies. When I say "freeze" I mean that the game freezes while the audio keeps playing, the screen just stops doing anything. Does anyone know of a solution?
Everyone has that, best you can do probably have game on SSD if you don't already.
Is the market bugged or something? And today is December 27th.
