Killing Floor v8 - Come Out, Come Out Little Pigs!

imo Sirens should have less head/overall health since their small bodies allow them to hide behind other zeds 90% of the time. I also wouldn't mind a damage buff since even on Suicidal, any class can literally run up to her and pop her head off while losing only around 20~hp at most.
I was at work and suddenly started thinking what perk skills I'd add to the game if they ever increase the amount available and what witty names I'd give them
EVIL ZED
Boosts saw damage to bodies.

CIRCULAR LOGIC
Boosts headshot damage for launched sawblades.
If a chainsaw is ever available as a Berserker sidegrade it'd make a nice choice between boosting damage up close, or if you like using distance then buffing the Eviscerator.
Why do these kinds of things come into my head at work or in the shower.
I'd prefer that.
Now they're just irritating due to the noise. I may change her audio file and replace it with smooth jazz or something.
Just had a game with some guy playing as Tom Banner, whenever he spoke he put on the best english voice I've heard, saying stuff like "BY GODS, BEHIND YOU, JER-RAY!" (Steam name Jarey) and such, made my night.

Noooooooo. Sirens are currently a threat as is, later waves on higher difficulties you get sirens and scrakes galore. I've seen many a team wipe because multiple sirens were left on the field while people tried to fight the scrakes.
Alone sirens aren't a problem, they're slow and only have a close range attack, relying on their hp to get close. Gut their hp and they're no threat at all, even if you do buff her screams, because you can just pop them quick and move back to the big things.
In house testing for an alpha game.
Alpha testing generally being a "hey let's fuck with stuff" build. I mean we've basically got the full game here, everything else is just DLC. err, pardon me, free content updates courtesy of TWI :)
I need that picture of the black guy with an astoundingly confused expression on his face with question marks on the side of the photo.
The game is what we consider a "polished beta" and is ready for you to play, just with a reduced set of content.
Whoa where was that, it totally wasn't in the EA statement or anything, you have every right to be mad for not being able to play the devbuild no textures lowpoly version of the game. Damnit, why isn't the game as unpolished and buggy as every other early access title I got screwed on, I mean bought.
So i finally managed to get KF2 from a friend's library and my god is soooo good. I'm enjoying most of it, the gameplay is good and flow like a feather, is more difficult which is cool. Only two complaints: the levels, at least some, doesn't feel so big like the ones on KF1, like Farm. Second the pubs, dear god what hell is wrong with this people. Hard and lvl 0 or what's worst: being high level and most of them camping only one side, forgetting that the zeds can come from literally every side(which is another feature i found very interesting). It's like this people never played the first game or something. I need some people to play with it
you sayin this just makes me imagine tripwire implementing an ingame event where you have to globally kill hans a certain amount of times until he gets totally removed from the game
I'd participate in that.
Considering how much worse he is than the Patriarch, yeah maybe.

This is the kind of thing I see toddlers post on the Steam Discussion forums. Complete with obnoxious smiley face at the end.

You know I just thought of something, all of the Zeds are supposed to come from the same Clot, which is male, then the Siren and the Stalker are female. Trans-Zed? :v:
I'm pretty sure siren was a clone of Clamely's wife and the stalker was a seperate entity made by a different part of horzine.

Where does this lore come from? Would they really retcon the existing zed origins like that?

Yes.

Also you can see Zeds growing on vines in biotics lab.
I don't think they even have gender, or it would at least be safe to assume that due to their lack of genitals.
Stalkers and Sirens probably have vaguely/explicitly female features because it's more visually interesting and differentiable from the other zeds.
I see, so the base clot was probably modified into sirens by re-purposing most of its muscle mass into the vocal chords for extra-better screaming. And it was given long flowing hair to complement its screaming power to easily infiltrate metal concerts.
And to turn the clot into a stalker, it has a curvy body so it can't be detected by radar and has stealth emitting organs implanted in the upper chest area and lower back area.
It's genius.

"creature to grace a video-game" isn't the actual developmental lore of the bloat itself, but instead the developmental precautions when creating the bloat for the game
that picture's from the digital art book, it's saying that Tripwire's goal was to make him the fattest, most gross zombie-like creature to grace a video-game, not Horizine's
In other news, me and my friend got The Patriarch 6 times in a row, and won 6 times in a row. Then we got Hans and lost. Fucking Hans, I was having fun with my fair and maybe a bit easy boss fights.

Also one of the times, the Patriarch was killed by an RPG-7 and gibbed, and interestingly the Patriarch's innards look to be fully mechanical. He's more machine than mutant.
Don't look into KF's lore too much, it contradicts itself at every corner.
It's better to either;
1) Completely rewrite it collaboratively and suggest it to TWI
2) Ignore it
I don't really care about the lore too much but I think I prefer the idea of mass production off a Clot template causing the Zeds rather than the old story of them being clones or whatever it was.
Compared to one mad scientist just pumping them out, it seems more monstrous that there were whole facilities dedicated to churning out nightmares and no one was the wiser until they escaped.
given that the whole reason for their existence is kevin clamely losing his shit over the loss of his son and trying to bring him back through cloning, without that backstory it just turns into generic zombie apolocalypse #213773
at least with that backstory it's a bit more unique

It's the name of the guy that posted it I guess? I took it off reddit.
Looks like they have fixed being able to launch the game :v:
If it's freezing for you at start - remove or rename Documents/MyGames/KillingFloor2 folder

Afaik the old lore was that Kevin was trying to engineer a way for people to survive decapitation (hence Zeds can survive headless a short time), because his son was killed after being shot in the head by an environmental terrorist. That failed and Horzine instead started militarizing them for the British Army, but Kevin retook control and caused the apocalypse. In the new lore, it's mostly the same except Kevin (and Hans?) militarized them for himself, not for the Army. And somewhere along the lines the Horzine board of directors elected to ignore the fact that Kevin was slipping out of sanity because his work was a breakthrough and could be profitable, they took responsibility for the apocalypse because they did not sack him when they had the chance.
I don't think the old lore stated that all Zeds were from the same template, but the new lore does, in addition to that template being grown on fleshy vines fed by mulched up bodies mixed with unknown chemicals. Actually the original lore didn't state how they were cloned at all, the cloning process likely is growing them on the giant meat plants in Biotics Lab. The backstory hasn't changed much either, just the original purpose of the Zeds (creations of a madman, rather than super soldier for the Army) and their origins.
I totally recommend reading the Art book if you own the DDE version of kf2, it's pretty neat.

The patriarch took a rib from the clots to make them
