Say what you will about Titanfall, but it's wave defense mode is entirely worth the £10 I payed for it. It's a lot of fun.
Also, if anybody hasn't noticed, Origin are having a massive sale right now. Even on Consoles.
Especially after the devs made all the DLC available for free it definitely made the game even better. I loved Titanfall because it gave me a rush that Battlefield only gives me sometimes. Everything you do as a player in that game is just full of action. You dive out of a dropship when starting a game, Titans rain down from the sky, and you can run on fuckin' walls. That game was awesome and I really hope the sequel does what the original did so well with the added benefit of them learning from their mistakes.
I would like to see the next Battlefield be the sequel to 2142. It's the most logical step right now if they're aiming on pulling off sequels as opposed to original content. My only issue is them dumbing it down to appease the masses even though the original was actually quite simple. Imagine 2142 weapons with the same level of customization as BF4! I guess another issue would be if they decided that they wouldn't want to add the Titan gamemode to 2143, then I'd probably not even buy the damn game.
How many years was that ago?
2007, 2009, 2011?
Very solid comparison there as "the latest battlefield games" have been BF3 (2011), BF4 (2013) and Hardline (2015), all in present day (albeit Hardline is set in 2020 from what I've read). Not a huge jump in time, is it now? :v: I don't see warfare like in Black Ops 2, Advanced Warfare or Black Ops 3 happen anytime soon.
Still, I guess a WW2 game would be way more enjoyable than "yet another" futuristic game. I'm starting to dislike this theme in online-FPS.
Yeah me neither but then I don't understand why you tell me that the latest CoD games are set in the future. What does that even matter? The guy brought up Black Ops (and I didn't know why) so I asked him what was wrong with Black Ops since BF didn't always do something different from CoD after which you, for some reason, tell me that statement is wrong since the latest CoD's are set in the future?
Besides, you're forgetting Bad Company and Bad Company 2.
Also, we're talking Cold War-game, not WW2. I'd be interested in that, it would have to focus more on secret services though.
I'd like a Cold War Battlefield that's not necessarily Soviets vs USA but all the smaller scale conflicts. Soviet-Afghan War, Arab-Israeli Wars, Iran-Iraq War, border conflicts between India and Pakistan, Sino-Vietnamese War, etc.
If I keep creating new gmails and origin accounts can I virtually keep playing BF4 on gametime?
[editline]2nd February 2016[/editline]
On a related question, is $20 for the whole shebang worth it? Got enough RAM now it runs like butter

for the version that comes with all the DLC? Yes, very much so.
Fuck it, went for it. And now they announce Battlefield 5 and BF4 becomes abandoned again.
too many battlepacks holy fuck.
$20 worth it

There's still a bunch of people that play BF3, I dont think BF4 is going to be abandoned by the time the next game comes out.
My Mare's Leg battlepack shows 3(or 2, can't remember) items missing. Is there anything I can do?
My Mare's Leg battlepack shows 3(or 2, can't remember) items missing. Is there anything I can do?
I'm pretty sure the weapon specific battlepacks contain fewer items, hence you have to collect more
I'm pretty sure the weapon specific battlepacks contain fewer items, hence you have to collect more
Yes but in other weapon battlepacks, I get 4 items. For the Mare's Leg, (it got a lot of items removed due to people during CTE crying nerf) two items show "MISSING ITEM, CONTACT EA OR REFRESH", and the remaining two are fine, but it's still the fact that I'm missing two. I'd like them to either give me the correct items, or re-add the items that were removed. Mare's Leg was not OP, I see no reason why they'd leave a 40x scope in, but not a 6/8x scope.
So I just came past this

This, but then on Frostbite 3? (Or maybe 3.5)
looks like a cross between rnl and dods with better graphics.
Who else first read the title as "Battlefield 1944"? I was really excited about this, but then i realized i read it wrong.
Seems very good visually, too bad its infantry focused/only
That game looks really bad, I am flabbergasted it's doing so well on KS.
That video is so bad though. Check this:

It looks pretty bland for UE4, and the animations are really bad

The Thompson reload.... ugh.
Looks less like a cod killer and more like babby's first unity shooter.
Well it's still on kickstarter and some stuff is obviously a placeholder, so here's hoping they'll improve the game a lot.
it's a pre alpha, of course it looks like shit.
Squad is looking GREAT these days ... also on UE.
I think squad's concept + ww2 setting and large open battles...
I'd be for that 110%!!!
But, we'll get a teaser soon. EA confirmed 'this week' so we've got 3 days left

For new Battlefield?
There's going to be a Mirror's Edge trailer coming out today, pretty sure it's that.
I also think it's not going to be BF related.
Mirror's Edge Beta announcement, looks like it was that?
Looks less like a cod killer and more like babby's first unity shooter.
just curious if you've ever made a game because saying dumb shit like this certainly feels like the answer is "no"

Don't have to be a master chef to know shit food when I taste it, etc.

This thing again!? Please.... stop.
This thing again!? Please.... stop.
Why? It's pretty much the best metaphor to explain that even laymen in fields can sometimes have justified criticisms. Should we use something else like "I don't need to be an expert marksman to know my gun shouldn't jam" or "I don't need to be a great carpenter to know my furniture shouldn't fall apart" just to shake it up for you?
Anybody got any fun and different loadout ideas? After 300 hours of the game I'm kinda sick of the generic weapons and I'm going through some of the odd items like the mares leg, dart m320, riot shield, scope-less bolt actions (ww2 cosplay lol) etc
