I'm a programming intern. I'm accompanying another student and helping him with his master thesis. I basically only do the fun stuff and don't have to write a 40 page paper about it. And I'm working for a game team, not the Frostbite team. Those guys are too hardcore for me.

I like that Silk Road actually feels big enough to warrant all those vehicles. I'm fine with vehicle heavy maps as long as they make sense. Most of the vanilla BF4 maps just pack too many vehicles into tiny spaces and it becomes annoying having to play engineer to feel like you can get anything done.

I actually really missed the Armored Kill maps. They were massive, but with 64 players and all the vehicles I felt it had the same sort of feeling as a normal Battlefield map with only 32 players because of the larger size giving more space for everything to spread out.

DMRs are pretty good in regular servers though. They're not god tier, but medium range engagements are their strong suit. At the very least, DMRs are entirely more useful than sniper rifles in normal mode.
I wouldn't have an issue with DMRs if LMGs didn't do everything they do but better in every single way.
More ammo, faster rate of fire, still great in close quarters and one LMG in particular has the fastest muzzle velocity out of any main gun in the game (700m/s).

Yeah, most LMGS are hella accurate with sustained fire too, god forbid you use a bipod.

Welcome to the club bro.
I had a 4 year license through school that expired last year december. I haven't had access to any of the Adobe products, since. I had the CS5 suite :(
On a side-note. I really like my intro fading into the footage. I used to have it completely separate + its own music, but I feel like this is way more "mature". Such a simple change. Based [B]BlueDrake42[/B] recommended me to do this

Yep! I really don't like it, because I am an agressive tanker. I like to get in close enough to mow infi down as I'm pretty accurate (I could upload the rest of the round, hacusations were literally FLOWING in chat).
I like the HMG for infi / light armored vehicles and I use cover / retreat when going against another MBT or IFV. I usually immediately retreat (as I've now got Thermal Coating instead of Reactive Armor) so I have the immediate edge on my opponent. I even combine it sometimes,
Spot enemy tank,
Throw down smoke around me
Drive in / out of smoke firing shots at the huge red mark above him
It usually lands me 1 or 2 shots in which I just rush him, let him shoot me once (so he's confident he'll shoot again) and then when he's going to fire his next shell (I've already memorized the intervals between the shots) I active APS and mow him down

Canister shell is still hella useful even if you're aggressive. It counters peeking which is the bane of tanks. The only downside is that you can't suppress with it but on the other hand if you hit all your marks the enemy literally has no time to react.
It's a gamble to trade thermal coating for reactive armor as you'll be more prone to disabling shots but if the whole enemy team is using lock-on weapons it can be useful.
When you say "throw down smoke", do you mean you're using thermal smoke?

Canister got HEAVY nerfs.
I really like the versatility of the HMG against light armored / aerial targets. I once picked off a low-hp jet with just a few HMG shots :D
And with smoke I mean the soldier smoke. The 3 smoke-nades. I use ONLY smoke nades since the zavod shift patch. Smoke blocks IR which not only goes well with my thermal coating but also ensured my repper / gunner wont get sniped
I am trying proximity scan, too. I just need to find someone who's reliable, has good gunner acc and most of all ... DOESNT live on the otherside of the globe and is able to play with me on times im online xD

Add me on battlelog. I would also recommend you to go to YouTube, search "Tonk2Stronk & Mis Dedi" and literally WATCH ALL his commentaries / tips tricks. It made me such a strong tanker, I can go head to head with BCL players now.
If you like to shred light-armored/aerial vehicles then you've missed the memo that canister shells do an absurd amount of damage to them.
You can one-shot any light-armored vehicle with the canister shell if they're close enough.
Yes, that includes the MRAP and all air vehicles except the transport chopper.
I've shot down my share of choppers and jets with the canister shell.
If they've nerfed the canister shell, I've honestly haven't felt the impact.

Also are there any dice servers for this game?? I can only find and connect to community servers and there arent that many, most are 247 with weird mods. :-/
