Battlefield Franchise Megathread V1 - 'Hardline is still DLC' Edition

Heck just make it a 20 bucks standalone game with like 5 maps, 10 weapons and a couple of vehicles and we're good to go.
If Battlefield goes into future they better do it right. Power suits, mechs, hovercraft, space, all the works. None of that near future bullshit with a robot or two.
I just realized I've never used the mortar.

I should get an award for this.
Biplane dogfights in battlefield?
Fuck yes! No more extremely fast zooming across the map unable to hit anything except other jets also going mach 7. Biplanes would just be better in general.
I can be red Baron.
As long as they don't push realism too much and just make it a fun ww1 shooter that would be amazing.
I can just picture the trenches with frostbite.

I think they made a similar thing with a DLC for BF2 or something , and it was set on 'nam i think .
Does someone remember which game was it for ?

You're probably thinking about bad company 2. The vietnam dlc was damn fine, but when I bought it for ps3, there wasn't a single active server. Only got to play it three times

Yup , that.
I think i still have it on my old account , but i am not sure if it's worth re - installing , since nobody plays it anymore .
Back in the day it was pretty fun.
wait, are there going to be actual swords in the game?
not that i have any plans on getting hardline all of a sudden, but that would be quite ridiculous for a cops v robbers game to suddenly have swords.

nice
the game is doing so bad they have to add elements that make no sense to try and keep its playerbase alive.

About their playerbase... you should take a look at their subreddit, shit is hilariously bad.
So they are basically doing what Overkill did with PD2
and look how it turned out

Overkills idea of microtransactions is insane though, not even EA is there yet with bfield
Wouldn't it be awesome if they were like "fuck it" and decided to go back to the original 2142 idea of being on different planets.
Haven't played BF4 in like 2 years or so, came back to play some and popped my 200exp boost items to rank up. I got weapon battlepacks and goldpacks through gear/leveling progression but when I go to check my battlepacks, it doesn't appear..? Is there a cap to battlepacks now, because I have 82 gold ones and it hasn't gone up after getting some ingame
Pretty sure you can only open them in-game, at least that's the only way i've found honestly. Also just had the most fun session with a friend on Golmud, we ended up just saying to hell with objectives and started running around in a buggy with C4 strapped to it, killed 15 tanks and ended up losing by only 14 tickets.
Struck the fear of an unmerciful and explosive God into many a drivers this day.

I've opened over 600 packs through Battlelog.
Turns out Hardline has its own weapon easter egg

You need people who actually owns the season pass, sooooooooooooo
Also, only one player can get the guns? That's pretty bullshit imo
It's possible they will make the gun available for those who don't own premium after a few months , just like they did with the phantom bow for bf4 .
All of the fun easter eggs wasted in a dead (PC) game.
Pity
Bought Hardline for something like 7$, for that price, it's a great game and I'm having a lot of fun.
Still think they should have made this an extension like BFBC2 : Vietnam, without the stupid season pass.
hey why not more battlefield friends easter eggs?

camping VO is great
Hey I haven't uploaded anything in a while. Here:

32 player metro is actually tolerable.
So story time
couple of days ago a windows update basically fucked my PC (thankfully I was able to back-up my data)
had to do a full reinstall but I only needed to format my C drive (I have a partitioned HDD) and thankfully all my game downloads in the D drive were untouched (so didn't have to redownload or move around 50gigs of data from backups)
Now as expected the cloud didn't save my settings data in BF4 because frankly EA's cloud storage is and has always been shit.
Basically I've been playing on a standard config except for a few graphical and keybind options.
Now, it's probably unrelated to my config but the game has been running more smoothly than usual since the format and reinstall. Not by a huge margin, but I've experienced much more stable framerate and higher minimal frames on average. Basically, before I'd be at 144hz but on cluttered maps it could drop down to 100 or 90. Now, it hardly drops below 130.
The most important part is that there's no jitter, the famerate never varies by much so there's no feeling of a hitch.
There's probably some messing around on my old set-up that somehow worsened the performance. I did all kinds of shit like unparking cores and using a lot of tricks to try to increase the game's performance but I think it just made things worse.
Now it's just silky smooth.
Hopefully that'll last.
hmm, new wacky shit on Hardline. I guess its time to download it
Twixtor added to my effects list and I LOVE it.

Me and josh were doing so well in the attack chopper earlier today that some people were complaining that it was OP.
:what:
It's funny because it's is such a glass cannon.
Worst part is that we kept losing even though we always annihilated the enemy armor.
[editline]18th March 2016[/editline]
On the upside, I captured a number of sweet tv missile kills made on jets by Josh.
They never expect the tv missile.

I thought the TV missile was nerfed to hell a couple of patches ago, I haven't used it since
I suspect this is a really dumb question, but how do the loadouts I build on the website transfer ingame? I've not been able to figure it out at all, even selecting a loadout as "active" does it? Is it busted? Am I missing something really obvious?

Gotta press the orange "apply" button in the top right corner

They nerfed the maximum flight distance, but they buffed the damage to infantry.
Other than that it's pretty much the same.
