Pubs are so bad ;_;
After 1 year and a half, I finally unlocked the F2000!
So I've been dicking around with the TV missiles on the attack jet...

I think I like them.
What the fuck is this damage on normal servers?
RPGs and C4 don't 1-hit kill infantry?

I believe OHKs with rpgs require direct contact, at least from what I've gathered from playing

yep, can confirm the RPG either needs a direct hit or a REALLY close explosion
I've certainly enjoyed hardcore much more than core recently because of the whole "That's bullshit, he should be dead" gripe I have many times. I just wish there was more servers in the US hosting it. There's still full 64 player servers, I just want more variety especially when most/all of the populated rush and other game modes are outside of the US. Ps4 btw.

hardcore is a cool concept which is terribly executed
>you have absolutely no way to tell how much ammo you've got on you
>sniper rifles are a 1shot kill, no strings attached. Everyone basically gets an AWP
>telling how damaged you are from the BLOODY SCREEN - so real is a bit of a pain (that's more of a personal gripe though)
really, if they had put some extra thought and care into it we would've gotten another gem of a gamemode like Classic - which sadly no one plays

1. Get good at counting shots (I agree though, some sort of counter for large mag guns would be nice)
2. mostly 1-shot at medium distances. I've had some people escape getting hit with an SRR-61 before at farther med-long distances. Close range in the foot is silly though.
3. I don't mind it (As you said, personal gripe. I basically see it as you have ~3 hits before you die, 2 for DMR and longer range shotguns, 1 for sniper)
What I don't like is that normal and hardcore are 2 sides of damages; Sponges and Paper. No real in-between.

A tactical reload dumps the whole magazine, making you run out in the blink of an eye.
Nothing wrong with that, but I'd still like to be able to get a gist of how many magazines I've got left
Got to agree with the nature of player health, really wish we had an inbetween
Its not something specific to hardcore, but in the next BF I'd like to see an option to either retain your mag or do a speed reload and drop it like you could in CoD:AW. Maybe make the standard reload animations a little longer to give you more incentive to do a speed reload in the thick of combat.

PRODUCTION strikes again.
Time to take a break

That's how it should be
A sniper rifle can kill from over 1,000 meters away in the chest. The fact that they allow you to take two in normal is bullshit.
As for the ammo counter, who cares? If you think you need to get more mags, find support. Most of the time you'll die before it gets to that point anyway.
I don't like the bloody screen either, but the point of the mode is to have a limited hud, so they had to think of something. I also agree that Classic was the best mode and it is bullshit nobody plays it.

"muh realism" is what this point boils down to.
That's criticism I'd see made in Insurgency, but Battlefield is far from 100% realistic combat simulator
And cool your jets, I said an ammo counter it's something I'd like to see, not something necessary. Evidently, at least two of us in this thread do care
One thing that bugs me is the arrow physics.
Constant speed from release to impact, when it should be fast at release and then slows down. Poison arrows are bullshit for this.

k, my jets are cooling. i know battlefield is far from real (so is insurgency, it just has more realistic hit damage), but it's leagues above call of duty. it's just that hardcore is meant to be something more of a challenge, which of course the definition of challenge varies from person to person, so i guess they had to get as close as they could to something across the board.
shout out to the FPer that just killed me on whiteout rush

I so wish your recon hadn't shot me in the back of the head, that would've made for one hell of a flank :v:

I'm mostly fine with the added challenge, but some aspects of it are really shoddily implemented
I've been playing a little bit of Bad Company 2 just for the hell of it.
I've had fun with smoke nade launcher kills (video of that coming soon) but MAN. The netcode is so horrid compared to modern BF4 and the controls are so much more clunky and stiff than I remember.
The time to kill might have TECHNICALLY been higher but you don't notice it since there's such a big delay you might as well be dead the instant someone engages you first.
Hardline is actually quite fun. I picked it up cheap for £13 on PS4 to play with friends (I usually play BF4 on PC) and it's very active, far from dead at all. Okay yeah it has 4x less players on PS4 than BF4 does but 10k is quite a good number. Will have fun with friends on this, but still mostly play BF4 on PC.

Also, who thought it was a good idea to bind melee or prone to the right stick? I'm sure this is the same in COD and most shooters on console but it's SO sensitive on Battlefield. Half the time I'm shooting I find I accidentally go prone, it's stupid.
I know this is a swedish website, but if you scroll through the article, there are allegedly leaked prints and production feedback of battlefield 5:

BC2 was great at the time but isn't as good as everyone likes to say it is.

so its going to be Battlefield 2042? Not sure how I feel about it if they're not going to fully commit the the future setting.

the only thing I really liked from BC2 that I would have liked in BF3-4 is the way knifing was. The animation was long and chunky, but it felt REALLY good to get a kill with it.

You mean the annoying MW2 commando lunge one-hit-kill nonsense? BF3's method of knifing was the best out of the 3.
There was no lunge iirc, you just had to make sure you were in range during the wind up.
BF3 wknifing was like BF4 knifing, except you can't counter
There was no lunge iirc, you just had to make sure you were in range during the wind up.
There was DEFINITELY a lunge.

Which is what makes BF3 the best system. I don't understand why players basically get killed if they try to knife from the front, and even if we disregard that, if the purpose of counter-knifing was a reaction test, it really didn't work. It is impossible to fail the counter-knife because the counter-knife prompt is there for an eternity.

Well, it was never dead on PS4 AFAIK.
But on PC, dead as fuck.

I disagree, in 3 you could jump in, mash F and get a free kill
I disagree, in 3 you could jump in, mash F and get a free kill
No you couldn't. Knife TTK was longer than most guns.
