oh god theres so much fucking work to do for all the Phantom Program things, i kinda want the Chipcard dogtags cause they look pretty neat but you need like 4 people for the final assignment and you gotta find all the tags on the Final Stand maps and eugh horrible!!!!

I only have the one from hangar 21 but all of the final stand maps were in the map rotations

He just drove it around w/o killing anybody, but it still made the rest of the server pissed :v:

sad part is he's spent 600 hours playing commander and only getting to rank 97

I haven't touched BF4 since launch, got agitated by the poor netcode and bugs which meant the game would periodically crash every hour or so - is it worth playing if I buy Premium when it's on sale? I hear DICE finally fixed things (or at least did as much as they'll ever do) about a year or so after launch but I don't want to waste my cash. Also, judging by the 'Eastern Front' DLC rumor that's circling around the next installment of BF I get the feeling it's a 2142 sequel so that could be interesting, I guess.

Then there's all the pretty big grammar and spelling mistakes all over the place. It's a poorly done fake. The first DLC even say it focuses on the Russians but then suddenly it decides it's the Pan-asian Coalition instead for the next one. It also somehow forces specific locations from battlefield 4 to fit into a story, when multiplayer in battlefield has no story and it makes no sense to re-imagine those maps and force them to fit, as in those map choices seem completely arbitrary. Also, "Vehicle superiority", really? That just happens to include air vehicles as well...which is what conquest mode is. Not to mention there's already a vehicle-focused gamemode in Battlefield 3 called "Tank superiority".

I found a pretty full Classic server today. Many fun matches were had, it's pretty different from softcore and yet the player can feel right at home

It think it's just "core", softcore would mean it's somehow more casual than normal.

Softcore Battlefield makes me imagine a group of soldiers wearing funny protection helmets and wearing huge vests made of bubble wrap.

A feature I'd like to see in future Battlefields is the ability to make like point markers. I don't really know how to explain it, but if I know someone is in a building but I can't see them it'd be nice to be able to point it out to squad mates that way.

Classic is honestly the definitive gamemode imo, it just sucks because I can never find a server running it.

It'll switch to the minimum ADS accuracy instead of the minimum hipfire accuracy. Near BF4's launch it wasn't actually the case and would conserve your minimum accuracy from hipfire if you kept shooting while transitioning to ADS. That was pretty frustrating. Thankfully they patched it.

Ahhh, the good old EU-spray from BF3. ADS an AEK and hipfire it with ADS accuracy. Good times

Is BF4 currently worth grabbing? I finally have a PC that wont die playing anything from this decade, but it's been a few years by now and I'd like to avoid the problem I had with BF3 where I got in on the downturn in player activity.
