Just tried hardline practically I haven't even played bf3 and bf4, my god this game is horrible and having to join servers with the browser is so annoying, Uninstalled and I'll go back to playing my beloved bad company 2 on steam.
The UI is confusing as fuck and matches end so quickly I can barely kill 1 or 2 dudes. Graphics look straight out of a console even on "Ultra"
I'm so glad ea lets us test those games because paying 60$ for this would be like stepping on a lego.
Yeah, connectivity issues in a beta/stresstest totally make the game horrible. What do you find confusing about the UI? If Ultra graphics look straight out of console i'd like to see what console you're playing on.
Are there any more recorded secret reloads other than the Desert Eagle, RPG, AKM, RO933 and that one revolver?
There is also this silly thing.

...what the heck was that?
Does anyone play classic gamemode in Battlefield 4? I see like 3 servers in the browser..or is it just a shit browser not populating properly?

That's nothing. Have you seen the Deagle one?
Hardline would be a guaranteed buy from me just for Hotwire but it's so overpriced. And Hotwire is pretty bland where one team doesn't play the objective, it just ends up a bunch of dudes driving around, getting blown up randomly until they win. Easy points though.
Why does lag have to affect where you're aiming in a vehicle? It's so fucking disorienting when your view snaps to seemingly random spots while you're trying to shoot someone.

Yeah I've been playing 90% hotwire this beta. It's easily my favorite game mode but it's also a game mode that can be completely ruin if one or both teams decide like being scumbags.
i played all the other battlefield games and they haven't done nothing for me like hardline has been. maybe i'm making the transition to casual gamer, or i might be sucked into the beta like back in the BF3 days. probably wont buy it.
I've thoroughly enjoyed playing Hotwire and playing it with my roommate for countless hours has made the decision for us that we're going to get it. Just not at launch. As fun and all as it's been, it just doesn't feel like it's worth the $60 price tag. Most I'd probably spend on it would be around $30. So I'm likely just going to wait until a sale happens, or premium is offered. Just wish the transport helicopters in BF4 were as fun as the ones in Hardline.
Maybe they'll pull a warfighter and make it 50% off like 2 weeks after its released.
I finally cleared the last phantom assignment.
I am done with the bow forever now.
i refuse to play until they remove the helicopter from hotwire

UI is confusing as fuck? It's just point and click, how is that confusing? You'll have to be a dimwit to find it confusing.
Matches end so quickly you can barely kill 1 or 2 dudes? Did you join a server right when the round ends? Cause I find that BS.

I love hotwire, couldn't care for the other modes.
But everyone has RPGs and actively give Breach-arounds, it stopped being fun.
If they removed RPGs and Breech charges from Hotwire only, it'd be much much more fun.
But not worth the money they're charging.

I can certainly see servers banning those two outright IMO, probably the choppers too. I didn't play hotwire in the beta at all practically because every time i played, it was virtually impossible to play it as it was meant to be
I don't think I'm quite understanding everyone's hatred for the choppers and the dislikes for the RPG/Charges. There ARE stingers placed around the map to take down choppers so just make it your mission to acquire that and shoo the chopper away. If you have a friend, why don't the two of you hop in a chopper yourselves and combat the other chopper. The only way these choppers are OP is when no one does much to take it down. Which are my favorite times to fly the damn thing :v: Hell I've seen an enemy pick up an LMG and unleash at me when I'm flying low and it sure did some damage and killed my gunner, but it made me fly away for a minute. It's not like your completely defenseless against it.
As for the RPGs/Charges, I never came into much contact with those. I've fired an RPG once and man was that kill satisfying. I mostly see the grenade launchers being fired at vehicles. Myself included. Are we hating it because the chance that someone went out of their way to grab one and managed to destroy your vehicle in 1 hit? Boo hoo. I got killed probably twice with an RPG my entire beta experience, and all I could do is think was, "Well played, sir" and laugh it off.
And for the breaching charges? I can most likely count on one hand the amount of times I've been killed by those. Sure the guys who sit on the side of the road waiting god knows how long for one vehicle to drive by are little twats who do nothing to contribute to the team, but I could see myself riding in a vehicle and dropping them to try and nail the bastards chasing us.
This game may not be perfectly balanced, but I think it does a pretty good job at making it somewhat balanced to keep it interesting. When's the last time you played a game what was perfect with balancing? Recently, at that.

Trust me i have no issues with rpgs, breaching charges or choppers in any mode which is not hotwire. But for that game mode specifically they do not fit IMO, and i doubt i will play much hotwire in the full game if they are kept in the gamemode

That's exactly my reaction to it, hotwire was a fuck load of fun when people agreed to not use explosives, but fuck off am i paying anymore than $30 for it. i recognise they put work into the game, but it still "feels" BF4.
Is the TTK in this game shorter than in BF3?
I always get away from a car of assholes trying to take me down, then I feel like king of the world.
and I turn a corner and explode due to someone camping the SMAW spawn on Dust Bowl.
jesus christ how are the animations legitimately worse than BF4
christ alive they look like a first-year animation student's first project
animations are so incredibly important, they're like the face of your game and if they're terrible it just breaks immersion so badly

could you specify which animations
because you don't talk shit about the secret .410 Jury animation
I'm fine with most of the animations.
Still, even if those automatic guns are OP in Battlefield hard line, i still use slug rounds, Semi-auto is where it is at.

Did need 60 kills to unlock slugs though.
After playing it for the past few days.. I really don't like it. I don't like where the Battlefield 'franchise' is going.
If they want to go down the cops & robbers style game patch.. fair enough.. but make a new franchise.
Anyone think class balance took a step back from Battlefield 4? Recon might as well just be sniper now, Support is back to being mediocre but the exclusive holder of glorious remote explosives, Assault dominates infantry maps, and Mechanic does pretty much everything except shoot guns good at medium to long range. I see no real reason to play Recon at all and rarely play support outside of Hotwire.
what level are you guys at?
im at like 77 just from playing as the hacker a whole fucking lot
I got to 35.
