Battlefield Franchise Megathread V1 - 'Hardline is still DLC' Edition - Games

There's a rumor going around that BF5 will be announced next Friday. Do you guys think the Great War rumor or the 2142 rumor has more credence? I thought it was weird that the latest hardline DLC includes an 03 Springfield and a Lewis Gun. I want to believe.

I want to believe.[/QUOTE] I think the 2143 is more likely, primarily because the Final Stand DLC sort of set up for it and was like a a mini-prequel. I'd much prefer a WW1 setting for the game, though. That's something that hasn't really been done before, there are only 2 games that i can think of in a WW1-style setting.

2142 i want to believe, the Hangar 21 map and the titan being built made me so hard for another Titan Assault.

I never played 2142 except the demo. I was still playing 2 at the time. It was a really great game, right? What I remember from the demo was fun.

Still hoping for Battlefield 1982, even though there's absolutely zero reason to believe EA would do that one of their best selling franchises. 2143 in the same vein as BF4 is still what I'm betting on actually happening. I've been looking forward to this E3 mostly so the answer to what the next Battlefield is going to be will finally be given. The series could go anywhere at this point, and it's driving me crazy not knowing the direction of this series anymore. Maybe they'll go back to Bad Company and go back to being silly. I would be totally okay with that. Or maybe it'll be Bad Company set in 2143.

idk about WW1, there's no room for weapon customization there, and getting rid of that would cause a lot of butthurt with a lot of the community. Not to mention removing helicopters. [editline]30th April 2016[/editline] It'd be cool but I really doubt it

Oh boy. This video is a special one. Over the last year, my biggest inspiration both in terms of being a Youtuber and BF4 player has been Ravic. Having watched his content for well over 3 years he has influenced both the way I play the game and the way I edit videos. Playing through the bf4 campaign to get the p90. jesus this is bad. so many ai glitches. Does anyone know how to get past the swimming part on South China Sea, keep getting rubberbanded backwards. restarted the game, tried swimming backwards against the wall, nothing. Im seeing posts about from three years ago on google. how does somthing go so long without getting patched?

In the description for 2142 it says: "Battlefield 2142 still has a hardcore following that [B]doesn’t want to leave the future behind.[/B]" Having a WHOLE BF4 expansion dedicated to the idea. It's also a logical step up in terms of creative freedom both in terms of game design (VTOL? HOVER TANKS? TITANS?), gameplay balance (NO LONGER A SLAVE TO REAL WEAPON STATS, GO HOG WILD) and player customization (FUTURE TECH, YO!). You literally can't get more heavy handed than that. All my money on 2143 simply not being a spinoff and being absorbed into the main series. So it's Battlefield 5: Future Warfare.

i went on a bf3 german knife only server on noshahr canals and every time the other team would run at me, i'd jump into the water after about the fifth time i did it, i got banned. stated reason: fuk u, bich

The question is, why would you subject yourself to a knife-only server, in BF3 nonetheless?

I'm pretty much 99% sure what it'll be and definitely looking forward to seeing what people think, but I'm also 99% sure it'll be spoiled before the reveal.
