Battlefield Franchise Megathread V1 - 'Hardline is still DLC' Edition - Games

I honestly think they're gonna announce 2143 by DICE and a WW2 game by Visceral. Or vice-versa, since I believe DICE mentioned they wanted to continue working with Visceral after Hardline awhile back.

2143! I need this. Why would they tease it SO much in BF4? I mean, they had a damn prototype Titan on that one map...

I mean, they had a damn prototype Titan on that one map...[/QUOTE] They had some teases for it as well in the last DLC for BF3, I'll be pretty surprised if it isn't considering sci-fi is the industry trend atm I think we'll get a WW2 as the new off year battlefield like Hardline, that way they run side by side

Sci-fi being the industry trend is exactly why I'm kinda hoping it isn't 2143. Its such a predictable sequel and like I said before I can already picture exactly how its going to play. I want to be surprised.

I'd like to see something orginal but these days the VG industry is like Hollywood.

Vietnam Era is the only thing I'm hoping for. You dont get much Vietnam War era games besides the new Red Orchestra. Ready for shooting some VC and and setting shit on fire while "Paint It Black" blares on the radio.

It'd either have to be in the future or Vietnam and back, otherwise I feel they'd just be reusing the weapons for the 6th or so time.

It has a huge damage model at the cost of basically everything else. The AEK and the Bulldog have only very slightly slower TTKs yet are considerably more usable.

FAMAS is good on like Locker or in the close areas of maps like Zaphod or Silk Road but good luck getting any quick kills or kills at all beyond like 40 meters.

Two coalition fighting over something as mundane as the few remaining arable lands in a struggle for survival during a new Ice Age. Actually probably one of the most realistic sci-fi setting I've ever seen in a video game. Thinking about it the Titans were actually freighters repurposed for warfare, adding to the verisimilitude of the setting.

logged off and back on for both battlelog and origin and still getting the same error [editline]4th May 2016[/editline] k well tried again an hour later and now it's working again. weird.

I'm not too concerned about the new games setting, I just hope they don't focus too hard on making it look good and give more consideration to gameplay, things like canned knifing animations look great in trailers but they along with counter knifing made it almost too risky to use most of the time. BC2's knifing was great but I'd still be happy with making the animations a little more punchy and quick and removing/improving the press f to win system. I just wanna stab people again :ohno:

I just hope if it is 2143 they try and keep the same aesthetic 2142 had and no update it or make it too generic modern sci-fi

It's just too popular of a trend for them to pass up on and every artist I know of is hopping onboard.

I know its promotional but i feel i could've been done better quality wise also, famas has predictable recoil. Its my top 3rd weapon, ready to be #2 with almost 3000 kills and you'd be surprised how many of those were beyond "40 meters"

For example i'm currently rocking it with the AR160, red dot or acog/canted and i'm guaranteed to not be at the bottom of the scoreboard :v:

Hardline is $10 right now on PS4, buying that shit. I'm sure the campaign at least is worth what people pay to see garbage movies.

If I saw more people playing it on PC I'd definitly pick it up. I like Los Angeles maps, and the concept sounds cool.
