I hope BF1 has guns with accurate hipfire, because I can't use iron sights for shit
There will no doubt be some made up "it was prototyped at this era but never made til the 30's, but we included it anyways, guise" rds and acog-esque sights and scopes in the game.
That poses a question: How welcome would you guys be in customisation options? I for one would not welcome the HL levels of customisation since that would be very unfitting, where as character customisation would be very nice. I do not think they'll have fully fledged out Chara custo tho :( I'll never have my moderately fat guy wielding a machine gun sprinting across the battlefield
I have a feeling we may get weapon paints, but the kind which looks like some soldier put on the gun themselves. Subtle stuff, and such. Maybe even a paint which is essentially a killcount per match, with every kill using the gun per match, it gains a scratch. Sorta like some soldiers have always done in times of war
If I can't get a red dot, laser sight, and urban camo on my MP18 then I'm not playing, sorry DICE.
They should replace UAV with carrier pigeons. Yo, they can have a poop attack to slip over enemies in the trenches. DICE should hire me tbh.
if there isnt the ability to throw ur helmet at the enemy i'm getting a refund
If I can't get a red dot, laser sight, and urban camo on my MP18 then I'm not playing, sorry DICE.
I have a feeling each will be added in some way or another.
To deter Recons from camping they should get trenchfoot if they stay in one place too long. Fuckin' recons.
Paths of Glory was a good WW1 movie.
Lawrence of Arabia is another one. Also, I demand a Pederson device for my M1903 rifle.
I wonder what some possible DLCs could be. Maybe a Russo-Japanese War DLC because it was fought with similar tactics but 10 years earlier. Or the eastern front if it's not in from the beginning. Russian Civil War could be another possible DLC pack too I guess.

Balkan Wars, Turkish War of Independence, Third Afghan War (1919), Chinese warlord conflicts (1916-27)...
Canadian Army DLC if it isn't in base game pls.
This too, although if the British are in the base game there's not much more it would add other than maps and maybe the Ross Rifle, but fuck the Ross Rifle.
This too, although if the British are in the base game there's not much more it would add other than maps and maybe the Ross Rifle, but fuck the Ross Rifle.
Maple syrup floor traps confirmed. Ridable moose battles. Apologize emote for chat.
Well, they did go with no sight attachments in BFBC2 Vietnam, so it's not entirely out of the question Ironsighting as a mechanic quickly becomes annoying if the sight picture is utter shit, so I can see where Altimor is coming from tbh
This too, although if the British are in the base game there's not much more it would add other than maps and maybe the Ross Rifle, but fuck the Ross Rifle.
A character voice, uniform, and Vimy Ridge map is all I would ask for. In all these war games, Canada has always been missing. And it makes me sad.

They just weren't common at all on infantry weapons and were most commonly seen on aircraft and anti-aircraft weaponry. I'm hopeful that DICE is aware of the "flamethrower bayonet" designed by us crazy fucks in America. [t]http://www.usmilitaryknives.com/Flaming_Bayo2.JPG[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/fyvc4Vs.jpg[/t]

[t]http://www.usmilitaryknives.com/Flaming_Bayo2.JPG[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/fyvc4Vs.jpg[/t]
That's the great thing about a WW1 Battlefield, Dice is able to add a fuckton of weird prototypes and designs. That time period was full of experiments.
Kinda surprised no one has mention the Tales from the Crypt hour long episode "Yellow". Pretty serious episode from such a series.
One weird idea I had is that they could base a DLC on the border war in the United States to have some spaghetti western battlefield action. Mexico ( Supported by Germany ) and the US, altough officially at peace, had some hostilities during WW1 in which dozens of people died.
I think the devs have and had a blast making battlefield 1 so far, it really allows them to go all out crazy and out of current borders.
Balkan Wars, Turkish War of Independence, Third Afghan War (1919), Chinese warlord conflicts (1916-27)...
This.
That's the great thing about a WW1 Battlefield, Dice is able to add a fuckton of weird prototypes and designs. That time period was full of experiments.
Specifically because there were no real standards - during the announcement stream they were talking about how in the Second World War there were some standards, "ah, this base design works well, now just to adapt it", but in the First World War much of the experimental tech was still figuring out what works.
DICE better let us use the Brewster Bosy Armor. [t]http://cache.wists.com/thumbnails/3/b1/3b103eaf55d41ab2bf0c2b87dcac761f-orig[/t]
They've specifically said the game isn't alternate history or anything and that they're trying to stay within the context of the actual war, but I wonder if they'll push it a bit further out into the what if with expansion packs. I really would like to crew a MKVIII. [editline]7th May 2016[/editline] I imagine we won't be seeing Whippets or other tanks of the medium family due to the machine gun armament.
secret weapons of world war 1 when
I think we'll maybe get some dismemberments in the game. [t]http://i.cubeupload.com/qAeE0Y.jpg[/t] notice how that brit's head got fucking obliterated by the trench club. I thought it was just a bit of blood but now that I watched the trailer again in 0.25 speed ....

I thought it was just a bit of blood but now that I watched the trailer again in 0.25 speed ....
Dismemberments would be nice to have. I'm tired of a game being rated for "Blood and Gore" but all that happens is a tiny spit of blood coming out that doesn't even spatter the ground. The worst thing in BF4 was Dunn's leg getting cut off but that was it for gore, and I'm honestly disappointed there wasn't anything else as gritty as that specific moment. Also, the dude's head wasn't smashed open on that first swing You can see the highlight of his head still attached here just below the club. That second blow leaves much to the imagination though.
Oh whoops, I should have watched more carefully.
Hold on, made a mashup but I need to upload it somewhere other than Youtube.
im tired of it being current year and games still not having bullet wounds and gore effects that shit was nearly standard in 2006-2009 what the fuck happened
It's also a MUST have for a WW1 game. WW1 as we know is the grittiest and most violent war we know about, and seing clean bodies lying on the floor breaks entirely the immersion, I want stuff like that( NSFW ) god damnit.
