Yes, infact it was seen in the trailer next to the british mark 2 in the desert. Here: So we can expect to see a lot of different weapons made for different purposes.
Ye, I saw it in the trailer, but I'm thinking it's not a German version?! And it's rather interesting they included it as a sniper rifle, and I'm hoping it doesn't come with insane reloading times, or some kind of BF4-like power-weapon spawn.
I wonder if the anti tank gun will be similar to the mortars of earlier games as in being needed to placed down to be fired because firing them from the shoulder standing is not wise
They better have gore effects because I'm fucking sure a headshot from something like that is guaranteed to rip a big ass chunk off of your head or even an entire limb if you hit them at the right spot. If DICE wants to emphasize on the brutality of WW1, then the introduction of gore and bloodier effects is the best way to go at it.
Ye, I saw it in the trailer, but I'm thinking it's not a German version?
no, the German version is the only version. Best I can tell, it IS in the hands of a Brit though.

[editline]9th May 2016[/editline] To be honest, visual damage is not even needed. All you need is those hit-markers magically appearing around your crosshair when you successfully hit your enemies. Hit-markers, the most satisfying thing to witness in battle. Yeah.
Are the guns you unlock from completing the campaign in BF4 worth slogging through it? I couldn't bring myself to finish the campaign on PS3 and I never even bothered to start it when I bought the game again on PC.
the M249 is pretty much the MG4, I'm not too knowledgeable about the P90 and the QBZ (altough the latter should be one of the more accurate rifles afaik)
they better not gate unlocks by endings like they did with bf4 yeah it was 3 guns but it meant i had to play through that level 3 times and thats 3 too many
The achievement for getting all three endings was called "Patience is a Virtue". It's like they knew how painful it was to play the campaign.
the M249 is pretty much the MG4.
They differ a little bit now: http://symthic.com/bf4-compare?M249_vs_MG4. Nothing crazy, though.
they better not gate unlocks by endings like they did with bf4 yeah it was 3 guns but it meant i had to play through that level 3 times and thats 3 too many
What guns do you unlock from doing that?
What guns do you unlock from doing that?
QBZ-95-1, M249, P90 methinks.
I don't understand why people are so afraid of virtual gore. It's not even consistent because you have lots of games with gratuitous amounts of gore which are very popular (Killing Floor, Left 4 Dead, Red Orchestra to name a few). There are those countries like Germany and Australia with nannystate laws governing 'violence' in games, but you can simply employ options for the gore intensity or regional variations. In the case of BF1, I think it would serve to highlight the brutality of WW1.
Game devs are afraid of being called out for gore and violence. People tend to assume that the more realistic the game, the more it'll "negatively impact" people or desensitize them to violence. It's a whole can of worms that most devs try to avoid opening.
When Call of Duty did gore in WaW wasn't generally well received? I see no reason why it wouldn't in Battlefield.
Holy shit, I just had LevelCap in my squad and talking. Battle Report [editline]9th May 2016[/editline] Also the problem lies more in the fact that when game do gore, they either half-ass it or refuse to do it on levels of Red Orchestra with death screams and shit. [editline]9th May 2016[/editline] This is what BF1 needs to bring home the point. I can imagine with how long it takes for people to be revived, DICE could have them lieing on the ground screaming and begging for a medic.
wow, [sp] 6 [/sp] missions? not sure how to feel, but I hope it's an improvement over BF4's I want to regain trust in DICE's story team
Spoilers blah blah [sp]Six is plenty. BF4 had 7 and they were plenty long. They're also listed as episodes which means there could sub missions of sort. The names give big hints as to what they are, my guesses: Friends in high places: Something in the Air, maybe Richthofen although the rear seat footage from the trailer is British. Nothing is written: Definitely involves T E Lawrence. It's a quote from the movie. Through mud and blood: Something on the Western Front, probably tanks because of JFC Fuller's motto of "Through mud and blood to the green fields beyond." Avanti Savoia!: An Italian warcry, so something with the Italians. Would be cool if it involved Rommel. The Runner: Too vague. Could be Hitler but I doubt it. Really I'm way too optimistic in expecting a playable German character out of DICE. Epilogue: Obviously too vague. I'm sure this will be the part where DICE shoehorns in the 369th.[/sp]
Is it really necessary to spoiler tag the titles/summaries of the SP? [sp]Perhaps 'The Runner' is a reference to the Battle of the Nek in the Gallipoli campaign?[/sp]

The Germans were the only ones that created dedicated anti-tank weapons due to the extremely small size of the German panzer force.
Is it really necessary to spoiler tag the titles/summaries of the SP?
Yes? Some people actually do care about these things and would rather they be a surprise. Since we're sharing ww1 stuff. [t]http://www.bohemican.com/uploads/5/8/3/3/5833893/3299166.jpg[/t]
The biggest thing I gleaned from the leak was the[sp]War Bonds[/sp]achievement. This suggests that[sp]Hardline's weapon purchase system is back[/sp].Which I personally think is a good thing.
Don't know about you guys but since I saw that Battlefield 1 trailer I've been playing a lot of BF4 again Are the Facepunch platoons still active? Do you guys ever arrange fights between the EU and US Facepunch platoons?

Will do
Less than five weeks now! Four weeks and six days counts.
So about the beta in June, is it going to be exclusively for those who have ea access on xbone or will they also run a beta testing for origin access on the pc aswell?
So about the beta in June, is it going to be exclusively for those who have ea access on xbone or will they also run a beta testing for origin access on the pc aswell?
Beta's not happening in June (probably). But yeah, open beta will be on all platforms and all the EA Access stuff affects both xbone and PC concurrently.
Does anyone know a good graphics card I should get to be prepared for bf1? ty
