They weren't intended to deflect rifle bullets, just shrapnel and the occasional ricochet. I think shrapnel killed and maimed more than direct hits from rifles. The armor was heavy, but it wasn't heavier than medieval plate armor. It didn't catch on because it was bulky and uncomfortable and the few soldiers who were issued armor ditched it at the first opportunity. Check out the "splatter mask", a piece of armor for British tank crews: [t]http://i.imgur.com/Tz5GuxU.jpg[/t][t]http://i.imgur.com/B2CD87Q.jpg[/t]
the amount of spalling in a mark 1 tank on the battlefield must've been just nightmarish
Uh do you mean 2015?
No, he means the canceled in-house battlefront 3.
I just hope that they won't forget to add Corporal Seyit if story's gonna include the Gallipoli Campaign.
There is historical precedent:
Like I said, it could certainly be shoulder fired, but you can even see in that article they linked that it was specifically noted that he stood up to fire, which would have been very unusual at the time running and gunning with an MG like in the trailer is something that only VERY VERY rarely happened IRL, but that I can guarantee will happen in game regularly.

It's not going to be 100% realistic.
its a battlefield game so its not going to be anywhere near realistic. its still an action shooter, just like cod.

Man, only just got Hardline and the story is great. I love the whole TV Show Episode thing that's going on.

I loved how you could eavesdrop on criminal's conversations though.
Hardline's idea for the story was decent, but they messed it up.
Isn't the ending to Hardline literally the same as Street Kings?
Hardline's campaign starts out okay and becomes mondo garbage.
I like the M16 and am aiming to get better with it but i just can't reliably put hit markers on someone like i can with the M416 or AR160, no idea why.
I had a good game of BF4 and this was the result
the eyes are closed because dat accuracy lmao
I'm bad at aiming in general so I use bipod on a AN-94
I'm bad at aiming in general so I use bipod on a AN-94
I found the best way to improve aim is to use weapons that don't allow you to fuck up, for example an 870 with slugs is a great challenge because if you fuck up that first shot you're generally fucked.
Anyone know a cheap place to get BF4 premium edition? My friend sold me a better graphics card than my old one so I can now probably run BF4 at a playable framerate. The cheapest i've found it is on G2A at £24, but does anyone know of anywhere cheaper?

That's like having Premium, but without paying for it if you get each one.

You can pop em with the rifle then quickly switch to your pistol for a fast kill.
Im guessing I've missed out? Or is it still going?
I think one of them is currently free, check the Origin Store
They could just remove Little Birds and DMRs and i'd be a happy camper, but that's probably the salt talking.
They could just remove Little Birds and DMRs and i'd be a happy camper, but that's probably the salt talking.
I was in a game with some Bosnian guy who would not stop freaking out through text if anyone killed him, immediately calling them hacker. He finished at something like 60+ kills to 3 deaths. Checked his profile. 708 hours in the little bird out of the 900 hours total playtime. I'm not sure if the vehicle itself is OP or if people are using some sort of exploit but I'm seeing it more often now where people have insane KDR just using the little bird. The guy had standard stats everywhere else and evidently stopped using guns altogether after he managed to scrape over 50% accuracy with Ace DMR which he loved bragging about.

Also, scout helis are really powerful, high agility, high tankiness, high damage to soft targets (light vehicles + infantry) +/- harassing AT rocket...
Little Birds can go up against and easily win again pretty much anything, it's a little ridiculous.

There's too much focus on stats and unlocking shit than there is just doing the objective and working together. Granted you can never expect consistent cohesion in pub games but in the game that guy was steamrolling with the bird my team had over half our tickets left by the time we knocked his team down to 0. I'm not even sure how someone could enjoy just picking people off instead of actually doing what they're supposed to do especially that guy given how many hours he's put into the game.
Im guessing I've missed out? Or is it still going?
You can still get the Final Stand for free on Origin.
