Battlefield Franchise Megathread V1 - 'Hardline is still DLC' Edition
I bought Hardline a few hours from release and I was pre-emptively massively regretting it. After all the beta was a shitshow and initial impressions made it seem quite lazy so my expectations were in the red. Buuut I've been really really surprised by it. The campaign was fun and actually had likeable characters for the first time since Bad Company and the multiplayer seems pretty tight. It's probably the first BF game where I haven't had any problems with hit detection.

Also, do you think they'll make weapons from the precision and suppression packs available to everyone else eventually? That (along with the extortionate pricing) is my only real beef with Hardline at the moment. Locking away gameplay affecting things to pre-orders and special editions irks me a lot.
The preorder weapons have Distinguished tags when you first unpack them so hopefully it will be like BF3 where the DAO-12 and Type 88 are made available awhile after release.
I kind of enjoyed the beta, and I can get the game for $49.99. I'm considering buying it, but I want to know if things like the netcode are fixed, if hotwire is still just people throwing charges on the ground, and if there's a good amount of maps in vanilla because I'm not going to be buying premium this time around until it drops considerably in price.

Answered my own question. Decided not to buy into Hardline. Hopefully the BF4 community doesn't die too quickly.
It feels like guns actually work in hardline, like when I'm laying into someone it feels good.

SMGs feel incredibly weak, if they aren't 2 metres in front of you it takes a whole magazine to kill some one.
Haven't used SMGs much so I wouldn't know, but the snipers and AKM/other rifles feel nice.
Hotwire was the best thing about the beta, but I can't help but notice that some of the final maps don't look big enough to support it. The Block, Bank Heist, Hollywood Heights and Growhouse are the ones that look to be out, unless you battle for control of forklifts with money and coke on them.
Does that mean it's only playable on the other five maps?
Thought I'd get to play this game tonight. I was wrong.

I have a question about Hardline loadouts.
I noticed cops and robbers have styles: SWAT,... Can you pick it for your character or it's based on the map?

Based on the map.
I really like hotline despite me not wanting the game but got told to buy it. And I definitly like the singleplayer where bf4 was worse then bf3 somehow. Espeicly how they present you the campaing in episodes like a tv show. It helps me remember next time I play what the hell was going on last time I played. teammate AI can suck a dick tho.

north american servers playing blood money

really?
What.
maybe it's counting each tick of damage as a hit, so for one incendiary device you can get higher than 100% accuracy?
I guess people are starting to learn that BFH wasn't really worth it.
I think it's just Battlelog not reporting servers correctly. Right now I'm only seeing about a dozen hotwire games while last night there were tons. Unless everyone quit simultaneously :v:
It probably counts how many people you damage as multiple hits
So if you hit 2 people, 200% accuracy, etc
It probably counts how many people you damage as multiple hits

Wouldn't account for the 50% though, and that'd still be like 30 people which is rather impressive.
Well if it is like I think it is which is something that sticks around and damages dudes over time, each damage tick probably counts as a hit, and if you get it in a crowded place then you are gonna get a lot of hits
The sabotage bomb truly needs a buff. It's one of those weapons where it should either be almost dead or completely dead when used properly.

-It can destroy normal&cap vehicles whithin a few seconds after a enemy enters in
-It can be set in doors
-It can be set in Battlepickups
-It can be on cash piles
-It can be set on ammo/health lockers
-It can be set on EVERY OBJECT which you can interact with
You can insta kill everyone (except heavy armored vehicles) so, isnt it enough for you????
Do you guys have like slow loading textures problem in BF:H? I seem to have that.

Change the process priority to real time in your task manager. Might help.

I did and unfortunately, the problem is still there. I appreciate the help nonetheless.
There's gonna be 5 new guns and one new gamemode for BF4 in May.
Holy shit Hardline's campaign is surprisingly good.

Did you really finish it? for real? because the ending is..... just........ [sp]extremely stupid, non-sense and make you feel like your wasted your entire time in the most stupid way possibly[/sp]
the Multiplayer have no technical problems at all, which is good, but it has several balance problem SINCE THE BETA 2, and Visceral gave a fuck about that back when everybody was complaining about it, it feels like a CoD in general
