What's funny is that all those in-depth weapon guides on Youtube have been made obsolete by one patch.
Is it me or Gun Mastered weapons feels weird? It's harder to score a normal kill.
Played the gunmaster troll preset, tigge was in the game too. Couldn't get past level 1 because the shield does 10 damage and you have to get 4 kills with it. It was actually a lot less fun than the others :/
Huh, they moved the bullet origin, it doesn't come from the centre of your screen anymore. [editline]26th May 2015[/editline] Or wait, they changed the zeroing distance, they didn't change the position.
Was there any new Phantom program stuff in this patch?

Weapons are now zeroed at 75m I think?
So, Ladders, Mortars and UAV's have been removed from the game, except for Conquest, apparently
Will they ever fix this annoying bug? When I first saw this guy, he wasn't even looking at me. All of the sudden he shot me and later in killcam it showed me this. [t]http://i.imgur.com/DcVI6GW.png[/t] This is just annoying.
Anyone looking to play
Updated IRNV & FLIR optics Night vision optics have gotten a major overhaul. They now highlight players and vehicles regardless of what angle they are in relation to the sun, as well as in complete darkness. There are also a lot fewer false positives – anything glowing in night vision now is a player, vehicle, weapon or light. Man, Battlefield feels so tight after this patch. Very responsive.
how do I git gud at BF4
how do I git gud at BF4
keep practicing, learn the maps, stay on the move, equip a red dot (it helps), and possibly aim for the head oh, and remember : you miss all the shots you don't take
keep practicing, learn the maps, stay on the move, equip a red dot (it helps), and possibly aim for the head oh, and remember : you miss all the shots you don't take
I also want to add that you should avoid being greedy when you encounter multiple enemies even in the case where they haven't noticed you. Try to prioritise when engaging - for instance, try to focus on those who will (have) spot(ed) you first. If you start shooting at random there's a big chance that you fail to kill anyone before they gun you down. Oh, and sometimes it's better to stand back for a little while until an opportunity arises.
Good God Mares Leg, L86, and Groza-1 are absolute shit. :(
I have a lot of trouble seeing enemies on big open maps like rogue transmission :(
At the beginning I found the game near unplayable due to me just not being able to spot the enemy (and I'm not talking about doritos) As you go on, you'll be able to pick out the movements and the general outline of a player model from foliage easily
Wow, I saw someone on Reddit who threw off EA/DICE because of BF2 content/dlc, specifically Special Forces because they felt it was released too soon to the base game. I've obviously heard of people who stopped playing because of BF3/4 but never BF2.
That subtle, but wide sweeping change they made to the spread decrease speed has made all the low rate of fire weapons a lot more accurate than they used to be relative to the high rate of fire guns. When coupled with the increased importance of headshots, it turns a lot of the old crappy low ROF guns like the QBZs into headshot machines. It also really emphasizes their longer range advantage over the high ROF guns. Shotguns are beastly too. They're great fun.
Shotguns are beastly too. They're great fun.
I was playing a Conquest map-rotation server earlier that I normally go on. What I dread most is when people vote for Metro or Lockers because that's when this one clan group all likes to run Recon with shotguns and plant their beacons in out spawn. Needless to say, I don't think they're that fun. Although countering them with shotguns was surprisingly easy; I had pretty much a worse loadout and still killed all 7 clan members in less than 10 seconds :v:
I feel like my framerate is better now. It's definitely way snappier though
On one hand I don't want people to be unable to play with their friends, on the other I really hate with a burning passion Clans that play on their own server and stack the teams until everybody quits.
The gun balance feels great after this patch. Yesterday I was using the much maligned G36C and did incredibly well on Propaganda because I was able to so accurately place headshots on medium range targets. The gun still isn't anything special up close, but the carbine hipfire bonus (been there since the last patch) helped in a few situations.
Even with 20ping I still get some weird bugs. Killed a guy and it told me he still had 8 health left. Shot a guy point blank with a shotgun 5 times and took no damage. People dying only for the model to run on the spot for 10 seconds (and still block shots) Still getting hit after moving to cover. I've seen bullets leave my gun at least 1-2 seconds after the recoil and sound effects actually kick in. I mean it's a hell of a lot better than it was last year and it's somewhat fun but I still get extremely frustrated by the amount of bugs still in the game - some of which were supposed to have been fixed. [editline]28th May 2015[/editline]
uh, looks like the headglitch prototype made it in then. everything feels snappy, and the gun balance changes are great.
I've fallen in love with the SAR-21. It handles like a dream.
But the Sar-21 was always amazing, it acted like an auto-DMR with the right loadout.
Thinking about grabbing Hardline tommrow, everyone is still pretty positive on the game right?
