Battlefield Franchise Megathread V1 - 'Hardline is still DLC' Edition - Games

I still think that flashes have pretty low radius; range at which they affect people, however if they DO affect someone... They are fucked for a long time.

I can take the slowness and a bit of blurred screen but I like the idea that if you're not looking at it that you should not be blinded

Shotguns are great but slug rounds still suck dick.

If this isnt typical of BF4 then I dont know what is: Plays fine since the update except for today. Today when I join servers I ping out immediately. Went from the connection lost error message, to "could not join server (1)" to know the cannot connect to EA online. All other games play just fine, but battlefield. All I wanted to do is shoot some shit on my days off.

So, should I get BFH or BF4?

The gold battlepacks aren't worth a dime a piece, and China Rising is one of if not the worst DLC.[/QUOTE] Its not THE worst, i would say Second assault is (*cof* *cof* Operation Meatgrinder-clusterfuck-metro and Darude-Sandstorm *cof* *cof*) Altair range is great, if not, the best map of the DLC, Silk Road is great for tank warfare, Gullin Peaks is decent and Dragon Pass.... kinda sucks. But i have to agree with everyone that, at this point, buy premium or the basegame, there´s no singular DLCs servers anymore (except air superiority)

Naval Strike was meh

Firestorm and Caspian are alright. They were okay maps in BF3 and they're still okay maps. Gulf of Oman sucked in BF3 for hard to place reasons, which is a shame because I liked that map in BF2, but it sucks just as much as BF3 in BF4. And then you have Metro. Fuck Metro. It's everything wrong with BF3 in one map, and now I have to put up with that bullshit all over again in BF4.

Oman sucks because it is unbalanced. The team that starts on land has a much easier time capping the points that are close to them, and the points along the coast are so difficult to hold onto compared to the ones in the city. The sandstorm is also a huge pain in the ass. I would agree that China Rising is the worst DLC, though. Silk Road and Dragon Pass are some of the worst maps in the game for being vehicle-camping snorefests, Altai Range is only good for jihad jeeping, and Guilin Peaks is pretty decent I guess, not that bad.

Also, I already have Bf3 just never installed it, but is it better than BF4 or are they about the same? A better question, which do people play more?

why is hardline dropping so hard? I thought when it came out everyone was pretty favorable about it.

Is there a breakdown of numbers of players on each platform per region?

All I know is that I didn't buy Hardline and I don't regret it now that we see what state it's been left in, and it doesn't have the veneer of modern military verisimilitude to save it like all games that came before it.

After recent patch, my experience with BF4 is much worse than before. I get frequently random freeze for 1 second (my fps are stable 60), game kills me in middle of battle because game is "unbalanced". I just cant get into BF4 anymore.

But i agree about loss of FPS, sudden freezes and getting killed behind 3 walls (sometimes youre not sure if dealing with hackers or the killcam is bugged)

God damnit, I hate when I feel like I'm forced to switch to recon because of all the snipers everywhere in certain rounds on maps like firestorm, nansha strike or caspian. Also it feels like I've suddenly become fucking terrible counter sniping using DMRs which was my previous tactic
