Friendly reminder that a good Recon smartly placing motion sensors and spawn beacons can win a Rush game. Now that shotguns are good, the Aggressive Recon tactic works even better than before. I used to talk so much shit about Recons because I always think of the useless roof camping idiot snipers that contribute nothing to the game, but now I love playing the class with a good carbine or shotgun. How does it perform on usual CQ Large? Aggro shottie Recon's been on my radar for quite some time now, but I can't help but think that motion sensor will be less useful on CQ Large because of the larger maps. Also just wondering, what kind of choke are you using?

My guess is that if you plan on hip firing, leave it off. Even without it though, I'm surprised by how well shotguns do at medium range, but at that range and beyond your burst damage advantage gets smaller and smaller. They feel like realistic shotguns versus videogame shotguns. When you're assaulting points, the motion sensor balls are great because flags are still concentrated areas. Still, in conquest large I generally prefer to go Assault or Engineer. Recon still has the same advantages if you want to lock down a point, but it doesn't matter as much as it does in Rush.

Shotgun hipfire is pretty beautiful post patch

I'm still not convinced that they fixed the problem with weird shotgun spread, just reduced the effects of it because of the increased pellet count and overall increased accuracy. Shotguns are still more accurate when sighted. It doesn't hurt to ADS, and I prefer to hipfire when I'm reasonably sure it'll be a one hit kill.

BF4 has changed. Before, I had a lot of kills while playing a Medic. Now, I have a lot revives while playing a Medic.

Medic still super OP but probably the least OP it's ever been. About time.

Is it me or AN94 burst deals a bit less than 2 semi bullets?

I'm surprised no one has found a way to force load maps or something while in Single Player or using the Test Range. Or if they have, I've never heard of it. I wish the test range actually allowed you test every weapon.

I only recently started out and I'd like to play a few matches with some people who're not utter retards and sit in the hill for the whole match while we're beying triple or quad capped on CQ. I literally got into the losing team a few days ago where it was 16v16 and 12 on my team were recon. Awesome hipfire, easy to control recoil and goddamn accurate even when on the move which fits with my aggressive playstyle perfectly.

Too bad burst fire is still fucked in BF4.

Works just fine on the M4. It's one of my best guns. I don't get the AN-94 though, never have. I just cannot do well with that gun no matter what I try.
