I really hope Hardline won't sell good on PC. Even though It's different company... It ruins "Battlefield" franchise.

I don't see how it's any less Battlefield than that one time it became a console exclusive 24 player story-based game.
Besides DICE did enough damage to the series with BF4. Pretty much none of my friends still care about Battlefield anymore because the last game they bought was a broken piece of shit that took 6 months to become merely tolerable.

Frankly I had more fun playing a weekend of Hardline's broken ass beta than I did ever in BF4.
I haven't used staff shell since they patched it's insta-reload bug.
Yes I was one of those bastards.
For those that don't know, there was this bug where if you used staff shell, if your fired your primary and switched to staff straight after firing te staff would be ready to fire instantly so it was really easy to win tank on tank battles.
The Staff shell bug needed to be fixed. It was game breakingly stupid. I think it was over nerfed though, because there's very little incentive to use it at all these days.
An unfortunate casualty of that fix was that canister shells can no longer be fired without delay if you've shot your main cannon. I know that makes more sense because in real life it's a shell that needs to be loaded into the main cannon, but it killed the canister shell for me.
Canister shells have required a reload before firing since a few months into BF3, as it was stupidly OP; I think the instareload glitch only applied to the STAFF in BF4.
To be honest. I had my fun in BF4 on servers where vehicle didn't respawn right after you destroyed it.
You could feel that the game was 'somewhat' more balanced but still ruined by amount of bugs.

I'm positive that it was unfixed in BF4 and that's why I used canister shell at all in BF4. But then they re-fixed it because of the STAFF shell.

That's how it was designed to be. Insta-respawn servers are the same situation as insta-respawn servers in TF2. It's just server owners doing whatever.
Even with the reload delay, the canister shell is still pretty swole if you're smart about it as you can't just use it as an "OH SHIT" panic button anymore.
I always had fun in BF4 even on release day, but I didn't like Hardline at all and deleted the beta soon after installing it.

Speaking of, the new beta should be coming up soon.
BF4 and Premium Edition are on sale on the PSN store for $14 and $25, respectively.
Now if only I had $14.
I'm still pretty excited for hardline, last I heard they were making rpgs battle pickups and that should limit the amount of explosive spam going on that you see in other BF games, seemed like they were genuinely interested in making it play differently than other games
Definitely not buying full price at release though
How to use assets correctly:

Remember: Infantry wins fights, artillery wins wars.
Seriously people think artillery is easy, but when half the enemy team wants to skin you alive, dodging suicide ATVs, UCAVs, Tomahawk missiles and hunter-killer tanks becomes an acquired skill.
I was born again recently. My world flipped.
I decided I should become a real cowboy with pistols so that I can take out two enemy soldiers with a pistol only. I like being an agressive recon with a 20x scope at least, going behind enemy lines, so it's crucial to be effective in close quaters with pistols.
I did some testing on test range and realised one thing:
Unless the encounter is over 15m you don't need to aim down the sights.
That works for all weapons too. Seriously, go on test range, stand at the pickup weapons line, aim at the head of a nearest target (without going into sights) and fire two shots rapidly. They both hit the head. And 90% of the time they both hit the head if you are stafing sideways.
Firing two bullets takes the same amount of time as aiming down the sights. 2 bullets with m1911 or .45 Compact are a guaranteed kill (on hardcore) even if they don't hit the head. Usually you can shoot 4-5 times until the enemy reacts because he will try to aim down the sights, they always do.
If you are having a hard time you can get FN57 with a laser sight. You can spam so many bullets that you will definitely kill anyone with a spree.
While you are at it, to become the ultimate 1 on 1 cowboy recon you can get 93R. Killing someone with .45 compact takes two clicks of mouse. 94R needs only one. Aiming for the chest almost always gets you a headshot with burst fire, and even if you don't hit the head 3 bullets still kill anyone. It's bad for fighting against 2 targets because the recoil is bad.
It works for all weapons too, not just pistols. Even sniper rifles. The key is that the first bullet is always accurate if you are standing still.
It's only effective for up to 15 meters. 15-20 meters you have a 80% chance to hit something hipfiring, the damage of most pistols doesn't drop significantly on that range. Over 20 meters you better not use the pistol, but if the person hasn't seen you yet you can aim down and land an easy headshot.
Are you playing BFBC2 because hipfire for sniper rifles has always been horribly innacurate in BF4.
And yeah pistols are quite nice but what you're describing only applies to HC. On classic or normal you need to get the drop on them.

Well yeah sniper rifle hipfire is not reliable to ever use it apart from when you have no choice.
I am also doing fine on normal, it still works but killing two soldiers attacking you is outright impossible. One on one is still fine.
There's nothing quite as satisfying as watching your enemy flail around in terror from his imminent demise:

The cheater fucks like a woman apparently.
His stats were like 90/15. A short while later an admin spectated him and confirmed he could see through walls and banned him just before the round ended and I got the MVP. :v:
Didn't even think he was a cheater first because he was using the cheat built into the game, AWS.

Oh hey I was in that match
Was the spawn camping the reason why your team stopped capturing points outright ten minutes in? Me and my squad were sitting at D wondering where everyone was the whole time. And there was the guy with 36 kills on our team that I assume was the king of the campers

Well, when you guys capped D I kind of gave up hope for the match (since I was trying to backcap the whole time) because some genius decided it would be a good idea for there to be only 2 chokepoints leading out of our side of the map.
I've noticed when playing a random 'Conquest Classic" game, I've not seen anyone rage in chat about loosing. Everything is always GG, or something positive, the last 4-5 games I've had, I've not see one person complain or rage when loosing.
