Ok, i'm officially in love with the AN94. People were calling me a macro cheater LOL
Ok, i'm officially in love with the AN94. People were calling me a macro cheater LOL
Once I went a server I frequent, was doing better than I'd ever normally do with the AN94, and both the opposing team and my own team were accusing of my hacking and tried reporting me to the admin. Seriously, the AN94 makes mid-range engagements really easy with burst-fire, and close range isn't too bad either.
Which do you guys think is the best :vs:
This one. Because the 1st one was unrealistic, 2nd was lucky, but this one was cool and also RUS team fuck yeah!
So what has changed since I last played BF4 more than a year ago?
So what has changed since I last played BF4 more than a year ago?
Everything. Literally all the guns in the game were modified in a huge rebalancing pass. Netcode was practically rewritten and has all sorts of things in it so that the server updates things near you and things you're looking at, at high rates. DICE LA is working on a community co-developed jungle map that'll be released for free, and Dragon Pass from BF2 is getting a remake. There's a hell of a lot I'm forgetting on top of all that.
60 ticks and 120 ticks servers are also being tested.
I should probably buy the BF4 premium edition, but damn everytime I think I will buy it I get something else instead.

I guess the important question is, who's the hot shit of guns now? :v:
Oh. I guess the important question is, who's the hot shit of guns now? :v:
It is now pretty fair to say that there really isn't one.
Oh. I guess the important question is, who's the hot shit of guns now? :v:
The game is pretty well balanced at this point, and arguably the best gun just comes down to what you need it do and what you're more experienced with. The guns that used to be the best (ACE 23, AEK, etc) are still good. It's more that the rest of the guns in the game were brought up a notch. The main reason is that the rate at which spread decreases was raised. For high rate of fire guns, this makes them less accurate. For low rate of fire guns, this makes them much more accurate relative to the high rate of fire guns. At close range, rate of fire and reload speed are still king, but at long range, a low rate of fire with low recoil will almost always win. All the guns are pretty usable at all ranges though. Low ROF guns are very easy to get headshots with due to their accuracy, so it balances out pretty well. Shotguns are now amazing. Try them out. PDWs got a massive buff all-around and in theory will actually outdamage carbines in pretty much all situations. In practice, their heavy recoil makes them difficult to use at range, but still powerful. Carbines are mostly the same as they used to be. Assault rifles are still generally superior to Carbines, but they have comparatively worse hipfire across the board. DMRs are very reliable guns (3 shot kill at all ranges) with much higher bullet velocities than they used to have and very good weapons on longer range maps. All the grip attachments and most of the barrel attachments have been modified too. I think all of them, except potato/stubby, now have a spread decrease penalty. It's made some setups worth running without a grip attachment at all. You'll have to experiment and see what works for you. I don't recall what changed with the barrel attachments.
Nice, can't wait to try it out when I get home. What about the DLCs? Was that north korea something map released?

The DLCs as a whole are better than the base game in my opinion (with the exception of China Rising).
China Rising had its moments.
Like when the map ends and any other expansion comes on
Guilin Peaks is one of my favourite maps, but then again I seem to have weird taste in BF maps, I'm one the few people who liked Tehran Highway in BF3. :v:

I couldn't even get into BF3 it never worked for me.
I couldn't even get into BF3 it never worked for me.
Maybe try Battlefield 4 Trial? It's more balanced.... a bit slower pace than BF3... but still great when it comes to those "little moments" .
Maybe try Battlefield 4 Trial? It's more balanced.... a bit slower pace than BF3... but still great when it comes to those "little moments" .
maybe i will. from what i was able to play of BF3, i thought it was a bit too fast paced compared to BC2.
maybe i will. from what i was able to play of BF3, i thought it was a bit too fast paced compared to BC2.
It's because of the poor balance. Medics were OP... engineers too
maybe i will. from what i was able to play of BF3, i thought it was a bit too fast paced compared to BC2.
BF4 is pretty similar to BF3 mechanically. Time to kill is ever so slightly higher though, so you may enjoy it over BF3.
BF4 is pretty similar to BF3 mechanically. Time to kill is ever so slightly higher though, so you may enjoy it over BF3.
yeah i loved how BC2 was. Felt more like a fun war playground cartoon than a FPS trying to be realistic and gritty.
BF4 needs night version of the existing maps. Imagine Flashlights / Flares being actually useful.
they are being worked on and might be released in the summer patch IIRC it's Zavod, Shangai, and another one the name of which escapes me
Dawnbreaker iirc.
Dawnbreaker iirc.
No, it's Golmud Railway.
they are being worked on and might be released in the summer patch IIRC it's Zavod, Shangai, and another one the name of which escapes me
Source please?
Source please?
BF4 CTE
So the first thing I experience after joining a server in my country (12 ping) is a mutual kill. yeah about that netcode fix, dice
That can physically happen you know. Bullets in Battlefield are like half the speed most bullets are in real life. I think netcode is pretty good these days. Especially compared to what it used to be.
