Tell me about it.
I lost a couple of years from my life trying to get 20 kills for the phantom assignment.
Also fuck active protection.
Active protection blocking all my A-10 bullets makes me sad :frown:
yeah well aircraft is dead to me in this game now, guess it cowadooty-infantry only from now on

The only thing attack jets got nerfed in was killing helicopters. The stealth jets got a lot of minor buffs to emphasize the fact that they're supposed to be the air to air jet. Attack jets are still extremely good.
Helicopters all around are better than they used to be. Attack helicopter in particular is now much quicker and more agile.
IMO infantry is the best part of BF
Last match a guy started watching me in spectator because I was doing so well and started shit-talking about how he was gonna report me for hacking. Something about "snapping" to targets. Genuinely amusing stuff.
Here's the match in question: http://battlelog.battlefield.com/bf4/battlereport/show/1/625277010185746752/248495487/
Also, spooky coincidence is that the next match I've had the EXACT same amount of kills and deaths.
Punkbuster is still my biggest complaint with the Battlefield series and it has been since 2. It hardly works and it kicks people for next to no reason. Like currently, I'm trying to play BF4 and even after going to Even Balance's horribly outdated site and updating Punkbuster manually, I'm still getting kicked.

Ill be honest I didn't even know Punkbuster was still implemented in BF4. I have had 0 problems. BF2 on the other hand . . . . .

Normally it's not that problematic until you install something else that requires it, at point shit's almost guaranteed to hit the fan with.
Or the uninstaller can fuck up, keeping it from reinstalling properly the next time around.
Maybe hacks are just too subtle nowadays but I haven't seen any BLATANT hacker recently.
I can count on one hand the instances of obvious hackers I've witnessed.

Ive encountered just one, aimbotting with AA. Very obvious
Two days ago I encountered a guy who one hit killed everyone on his way with a single headshot. Using the MX4. He also every now and then said on chat "free BFH" or something like that.
Propaganda is the best map in BF4 so far.
Medium sized , tight and only few vehicles.
The pace of this map is great. The speed of gameplay slowly increases when you capture 3rd Point.
I prefer Sunken Dragon, to be honest. Propaganda (and the other 2 Dragon's Teeth maps) get pretty ridiculous on 64 player. The constant chaos can be way too overwhelming sometimes.
Used to play exclusively 64 players only before BF4, now I've come to appreciate conquest small.

One thing I've always loved about BF are the maps when there's tons of infantry and very few vehicles.
Like, just pushing through a street while a single APC provides covering fire is just awesome.
DICE made it all even better in BF3/BF4 when player charcters started calling out stuff more often.
I might try Hardline again tomorrow once the patch goes live. Haven't played it since the first week it was released.
Hardline should just lie down next to MoH: Warfighter IMHO

Hardline is good though, just not enough people bought into it to keep the pop to.

I personally dislike fast TTK's, especially in BF games where you're facing many enemies at once. HL's concept was good, but poorly implanted imho.
I mean, there's so many things that just don't line up with the theme, it's a military shooter with different character models and a few changed gameplay mechanics. It almost feels like it's purely catered to the console segment of the BF series.
It's just my opinion and I can't say i've played HL extensively to pass judgement on it, but from seeing videos, hearing reviews and having played it a day when it was just released, it's not my kind of battlefield game.
BFBC2 / BF3 and now BF4, are my kind of games. It doesnt have to do a lot with the balance, either. There's just little to choose from and it's not vastly different from lets say any other bf series other than theme
question since i haven't played bf4 since i upgraded my rig and I'm gonna try it out again to see if it runs at a playable framerate
should i bother with the expansions? is there still a large community that plays just stock bf4? I can't justify spending 40 dollars for all of the dlc if i don't need to

There are plenty of packed vanilla servers around.

I got BF4 preem just to see "24/7 2000 tickets shangai only!!" "ONLY GOLMUD" and all other vanilla maps. People dont appreciate the DLC's?
I do have to say, BF3's DLC were by far the best DLC I've ever bought. Especially the armored fury pack. Damn those mountains and levels

I loved B2K, specifically Karkand itself.

could be because the price point is ridiculous. 40 dollars for a dozen new maps? are you fucking kidding me

Ahhh, I got it on sale. 15 euro's for premium, 7 euro's or something for the early unlock weapons pack.
YES I"M A TRYHARD AND NEEDED MY TRYHARD WEAPONS
IMO, the reason that there are so many vanilla servers is that the DLC maps just aren't as good as in BF3. China rising almost never gets played, Naval Strike is played mostly for the submarine map and that map with the old fortress, Dragon's teeth is probably the best one, Propaganda, Pearl market and Lumphini Garden are quite good, with a bigger focus on infantry combat and not a lot of MBT/LAV spam in it's levels. Final Stand is the sniper wet dream, big open maps with litte cover and long range engagements, the BF2142 theme is awesome tho.
I'm actually kinda glad most attack jet secondaries got nerfed, otherwise I wouldn't have discovered the joy of attacking helpless infantry with rocket pods, nor gotten gud with guns.
Sunken Dragon can be good but once your team gives Chopper to enemy team. You're fucked.
I don't need to start you how I hate Chopper Campers.

warfighter was actually good though?
warfighter was actually good though?
I love a Bad Company 2 that somehow managed to edge even closer to being CoD with jeeps
