It's okay. It lets you use pretty much whatever weapon you want because it uses BC2's crate system, and there are some nice setpieces.

Pretty much only there for the set-pieces so that's okayish I guess.

Only if you ignore exploring the map. If you just roll with what's happening and keep moving forward, the game becomes more entertaining. If you stop at any given time (Including the driving sequence in the first mission) You will notice how everything is scripted to hell and back and entirely depends on you moving forward.

Like, you can turn the vehicle backwards and nothing will happen.

"So the player will come through here and then trigger the helicopter to..."
"Yeah okay, but what if they decide to turn back?"
"I don't follow."
god BF2: Special Forces is one of my favorite memories of Battlefield
BF2 Special forces was my favourite fucking thing
Paratrooping in as SAS and getting to sniping spots with grappling hooks as the insurgents on Fallujah was my favourite thing ever
It was a sad day when it started to die down, I could honestly still play it right now
Fall update tomorrow.
Get hyped.
What's Fall gonna include? The CMP?
Dang, fall update. That was quick. I wonder where I can get patch notes.
Is BF4 usually on sale when big updates land? With halloween and black friday coming up I hope it'll be on sale soon.

Will definitely go on sale for Black Friday. At least, it was last year when I got Premium.

There was a server here. It's gone now.
I think this patch include the minimap outlines for conquest flags, no?
That's what I'm most excited for.
If I'm not mistaken, they're also adding Hardline's height-based player minimap transparency which is a fucking god send.
Battlefield 5 better have all of this quality of life shit on launch or I'll be seriously disappointed of DICE Stockholm.
Well they did keep everything from BF3 so I don't see why not.
Though they still haven't transferred some stuff from BF4 to Hardline so who knows.
UPDATE HIGHLIGHTS
The main focus for this update has been the finalization of the Community Map Project, resulting in the
map “Operation Outbreak” which we built openly on the Community Test Environment.
This release also includes a pretty extensive vehicle balance pass, which prompted us to change the
format of the patch notes list in order to explain our changes better – we hope you like this new and
more detailed version!
"Smoke grenades now block FLIR/IRNV"
HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAA YES

Hot smoke grenades.
"Let's make Metro and Locker even more about mindless spamming."
Sure, I could just not play either of them, but going in with smokes, IRNV and HE shotties to ruin some pubs' day was a nice way to relax.
"It was too easy to kill vehicles with C4." - DICE LA
Yeah, sure, ok DICE. I guess risking my ass getting shot by countless camping Recons and other sneaky players in an attempt to destroy a careless tank driver who still has a chance to pop 3rd person and backpedal or even accidentally run over me while I put up the C4 charges seems to require little skill and effort. Thanks DICE.
But yeah, patches look good, especially on what they did with the shotties which look nothing major and the increased objective points.
Plus it's not like it's gonna slow down C4 support, it just makes it more annoying for them.
Did DICE just nerf C4 because it was too easy to kill vehicles? Are you joking me?
Don't mess with my precious, DICE. I swear, if it takes more than 3 C4 to blow up a tank, I am uninstalling the game.
Also looks like they made 320 launches OP like how they were when the game first came out. Haha, I think DICE is just recycling most of these patches. Although, good changes in some cases.
Well gotta try that 320 now that its fun.
Tank drivers and LAV experts are going to be running rampant now.
resupply times
o C4 (nerfed, damage reduced, blast radius reduced): 8 seconds
o Engineer launchers: 8 seconds
I like how they're making lesser used gadgets like the AA mine & Gunner Incendiary more viable now.
It's also neat that the CMP has two possible maps for some gamemodes.
Massive oversight from DICE.
Attack Crafts now repair at the same rate as light transport vehicles.
Can bring it from 10% to 100% in 8 seconds.
I was wondering why I had to TOW someone 4 times to kill him.
Been running with Afromana in one of those and I could basically keep him alive forever.
That's unpatched BF3 release repair rates here.

I would totally be down to play/settup a FP bf2:sf session; that expansion was amazing

I need to play bf4 again I haven't played in a year
Anyone else has a problem with "purchasing" the newest DLC?

TWO HOURS ALREADY.
Been playing quite a bit of this game lately, I really like how every expansion had a distinct feel and aesthetic and you could see how the designers had sat down and said "Right, what shall we do this time?" I like how Final Stand in particular is about these wide open areas with vertical elements, and beneath/inside it all is a complex with bases and all that jazz to battle over.
That said, and I know I'm really late to the party on this, but I wish a lot of the Levolutions felt more organic. More than a few of them require you to shoot an area you'd normally have no business shooting, or hitting two buttons that you'd never even consider hitting if they didn't trigger the thing. Even things like deaths in an area would be better than the ol' two-buttoner or the stop-and-shoot-the-wall.
EDIT: I also love how Final Stand is just "You want 2143? Fuck you it's not happening but LOOK AT THESE TITANS RAILGUNS AND HOVERTANKS!"
