Nobody is going to like every change a patch brings. Overall, I think the changes are good or should at least mix things up a bit.

there's one crate in the map which you can knife which contains the phantom bow that can be unlocked permanently.
On the NWG server, there's one guy that becomes virtually invincible once he gets in a vehicle. Tank, chopper, whatever. Can't touch him (With exceptions / rare occasions).
Imagine his power now.

I like the change to HE, mainly the blast radius damage shit
The changes to tank ATGMs are nice, in particular the reload time
Ray length is the lock on range I'm assuming? Because range from 300m to 550m is a great change

Imho, even though it was pretty powerful, it was nicely balanced before the patch. If C4 spam was an issue, moderators / server admins could change their rules so c4 use was forbidden
If they wanna reduce the spam, then they should've just increase resupply times along with reduce throw distance by a bit or maybe even specifically reduce it's damage vs infantry only.
3 C4 charges to kill one careless tank is way too fucking much and not worth the risk of exposing your sorry ass to lay down that C4 in the first place.
Meh. I see that shotguns have been massively nerfed, flechette and buckshot having their effective range cut by like 20 meters. ( This almost halves their effective range! ) Might be more balanced but the shotguns now become very gamey shortrange weapons instead of the more realistic shotguns BF4 had.
Also smoke now blocks infrared sights. It was a lot of fun to pump a room full of smoke and then move in with an infrared-sighted weapon. It's a shame because I don't think it was too overpowered and it rewarded using tactical gameplay instead of going in guns blazing. In general I think the update might've made the game more competitive and fit for esports, but cut away a lot of the fun tactics ( C4 has also been nerfed, you can't use lock-on launchers from vehicles anymore etc. etc. ) in favour of more focus on balanced but bland gunplay.
Shotguns were sometimes fishy. I could spam an M1014 at what, 40 meters and get a kill.
Shotguns are still wonky. I use primarily a UTS15 now (870 being my main for many years now) and I couldn't kill a guy that was 10 feet away with 3 shots. Then the next death I spawned and shot a guy at full health over 50m away with 1 shot.
As I said and many people here agreed, C4 is dead now. Useless.
Edit: Also, don't forget to go into your battlelog browser and set your server tickrate to 60+. You can now filter and see tickrate in server description before joining.
I think DICE's point is that C4 the way its be being used isn't the way they intended, it being a sneaky way to take out a tank that doesn't know you're there instead of running headlong at a tank, trying to dodge it's fire and planting C4 on it, especially since this in a lot of cases was more effective than using rockets. Front Line Anti-Armour is the Engi's role.
No, I don't agree with that.
The ONE fix they should of done was make sure that active protection could shield you from C4 damage. That would of pleased the elite tank drivers, and made people like me not angry. Now they completely nerfed C4 and made tanks a whole lot stronger versus infantry on tight quarters while trying to capture/defend flags.
Edit: And if front line AA work is engineer based, then the engineers should have C4, not support.
I think you're misunderstanding what I'm saying. They want rockets to be the primary way to destroy vehicles while c4 is for destroying buildings and stationary assets.
I honestly think the way to balance C4 versus Tanks is to make it so C4 disables Tanks instead of destroying them or damaging them heavily.

think these two changes were already in place for Hardline. The maps are smaller so I guess it's okay but Shotguns still feel weak and are rarely used, can't imagine how pointless they are in big, wide-open BF4 maps
