Battlefield Franchise Megathread V1 - 'Hardline is still DLC' Edition - Games

Love TOWing air vehicles from LAVs and RCBs. Do that all the time and people get so butthurt.

I've not played this game in a few months, redownloaded it since I got a beefy comp; holy shit it's so much more fun when my fps doesn't drop to 12 every ten seconds

Played this game a few hours ago, Flood Zone Conquest Large. There was some guy buzzing about in a Little Bird, killing everyone like they're wont to do. I took him out of the sky twice with a SMAW and he got so butt-blasted in all-chat. For getting killed in a PvP game. With a legit tactic. That's one of the unspecified appeals of BF4 though. If you have a playstyle/loadout that is even slightly off-meta/normal and are doing good with it, then you're gonna have your coffee cup sprinkled with delicious amounts of salt and tears. Really, having someone wishing cancer and the death of your family on you in a game is more funny than it is anything to give a shit about :v:

I see different names. Looks like he grabs other players videos? I just noticed this now. Why don't he just record himself playing the game?

Most important change in the patch: if you ask for orders from squad lead and they don't reply within 30 seconds, you get squad lead. Kind of an overlooked change here. I've been pretty much squad lead 24/7 because of it. [editline]1st November 2015[/editline] It will also allow me and a friend to join a populated squad and assume control of it.

The automatic reassignment of SL is great, but I did notice that every so often I have to re-set the objective; it's not a big deal but it does get annoying

You can change it so you need to have the commorose open to assign an objective. It goes hand-in-had with the SL reassignment. It's annoying but if it wasn't the case you couldn't take squad lead by requesting an objective. In other words it forces the squad lead to do his damn job.

Put 3 C4 on a unknowing tank yesterday, got 80 damage, no vehicle disable. I laughed and quit the game. I'll play when DICE un-nerfs the C4 and RPG reload times.

To be honest, when I first read about C4 changes, I said "well, that's nothing", yet for some reason so many people are crying about this. When I first played BF4, I always planted 3x C4 on tanks, just because I didn't know how many of them it takes to destroy them and I wanted to be safe. Never really had any problems with not having enough time to plant one more C4... EVER! If you are getting killed while planting 3rd one, you would most likely die when planting just 2 and trying to get away to detonate it.

Its not the fact that it takes 3 C4 that bother JJ, but tue nerfed reload of 24 sec for 3 full C4

Speaking of 24 sec reloads for 3 C4s, do you have to take it out while resupplying or something? I once went into a safe spot to resupply my C4 and didn't even get any after 30 seconds while having the Bow up for any fuckhead who comes into my spot.

If you have it out, it prioritizes what you have in your hands yes

I know my C4. They nerfed blast radius and damage to C4 with this latest patch. Plus your sentences don't really make much sense. Prior to this patch, 2 C4 could kill all vehicles besides amtracks. Putting on 1 more C4 than usual pre-patch is a unnecessary use of resources. @Derp, yes, it takes 24 seconds to fully reload C4. But you need to be closer to the ammo packs now.

Got any proper "tutorials" and manuals for various stuff in the game (BF4)? I've been playing for some time and I'm not doing too badly (not badly enough to fuck up my teams chances of winning via my existence), but I have hella huge troubles trying to improve, seemingly most of my deaths are based around the fact that the my 40ms latency on the scoreboard is most likely 400 and I don't know about any places to camp/expect enemies to be at, or understand half of the game's features the only thing I have a grasp on is the emblem editor

Tactics are kinda out of my expertise but I could explain features.

There are like 4 AUS servers with 60tick Two of which are empty One of which everyone has >150 ping despite being local And the last one can't even handle the load ripperoni pepperoni

How do I deal with choppers? Most of my deaths happen because some guy is cruising around the map shredding people with his attack helicopter. I'm not good enough to hit them with SMAWs or RPGs and the Stingers are pretty slow and just get dodged most of the time.
