Battlefield Franchise Megathread V1 - 'Hardline is still DLC' Edition - Games

No no no. We need to go back to World War II. Everything that Battlefield 4 offers would fit great in World War II Theme. - Parachute - Tanks - Commander - Levolution - Destructible environment - WAR TAPES!

World in Conflict really made me want a 1980s Battlefield even before I heard of the BF 1982 concept, that just made me want it even more.

You can recover a HELICOPTER from a bad situation. Like when Pilot bails out. Sure I used this trick a lot but It's unfair.

That is really dickish tbh, denying your entire team the benefit of an attack helicopter because of one guy. Reminds me of the assholes at the top of the scoreboard who board themselves up in one sqaud and refuse to help the actual team, so they have a k/d of like 29/5 but our actual team is like bleeding tickets out 200 down from the enemy. It is one the reasons why this game is shifting so much to a more solo style yet these same kids complain that battlefield is moving towards a more COD-esque gameplay when they emulate it.

Three times out of four they'll be nice about it and get out but there's always that one guy that goes like "nah just go". Worse yet, sometimes people taunt me about it. That's when I crash the chopper. Can you blame me for trying to play with a friend who's actually on comms with me and not some other douchebag that's not even in the same squad?

I recently picked up the 338 Recon (Bullpup bolt action) and I'm really enjoying my time with it Are there any similiar sniper rifles available?

Whenever I play Battlefield with Assault class, I can't imagine using any other gadgets that are not designed for medic role, such as Defibrillator and Medpacks.

Nets me a ton of kills on enemies who just got to cover and 1shot direct hits Also if you learn what can be destroyed and what can't you can get some BC2 Tier action going

Don't understand the hate, I actually prefer it much more, seems a lot more fair, and I get shot in the back by a cunt with an ACE 23 from 1500m away far less often [editline]25th November 2015[/editline] It doesn't constantly lag at 100ms ping either like BF4 did (although they probably fixed that now)

I really like Hardline. I like the setting and it feels faster paced than 4. That's just me though.

I liked Hardline too, only problem with it was that it didn't set itself apart from 4 enough. If you're buying Battlefield game right now get 4, it's way more populated and has way more content (that's at least played, I feel bad for the people who bought premium).

got bf4 last week and premium this sale (hope i dont regret it) last bf game i played was bc2 and before that bf2142 i actually like bc2's kit design better tbh. I think it makes more sense with medic being on the support as you're on a supporting role (heh). Assault was the firepower role and you could take an underbarrel attachment alongside defib/medipack. I do realize that it was bc2 that deviated from the formula though but i still think it was better that way. I do miss rush though, it was well done in bc2, not really in bf4. It seems like one the attacking team gets in then you may as well not bother. Conquest feels like your actions don't matter due to how many tickets most servers have. I remember in 2142 taking a capture point was usually significant but in bf4 it just serves as a frontline. game isn't bad, not my favorite battlefield but 2142 is beyond dead (and even when it was on life support, everyone played fucking camp gilberator) and I got bored of bc2/it's not that popular either. I played one round where it was usa vs china instead of russia and every game after that it was always russian. Do servers change china to russia or are there only like 2 maps with china? I noticed quite a few maps are clearly set somewhere in china, even in siege of shanghai it's russia, not china.

Servers can override the sides that are supposed to happen on a map if they want to. By default, if a map looks like it takes place in China, chances are China is supposed to be one of the factions. Also it's not always US vs Rus/China. There are Rus vs China maps like Rogue Transmission and Golmud Railway for example.

That's boring as shit as every modern combat game Russians are the bad guys.

Can you counter a counter knife? I know the other guy can kill you if they press F while you knife them from the front but I've seen the animation happen then my guy punches the other guy in the face and I get the kill. [editline]26th November 2015[/editline] this is bf4 btw
