How.
Can you really launch the game like that?
Do you get the steam overlay in-game?

No
Steam's just a web browser among things, specifically chromium
I just use the console to open battlelog instead of the steam store

I used Battlelogium too, but I didn't get Steam Overlay.

I wonder if I should just disable Shadowplay altogether. Time to time it crashes my game and ruins the awesome moment I want to record.
I've been having the same problem so you're not alone.

oh damn the rush version of the new Dragon Valley is influenced by BadCompany2 rush. I can dig this
I wish more people played Rush, I never liked Conquest that much.

It's more like a "Free-Mode" which I love it.
The new map is very impressive. So far Dragon Valley is the biggest map in BF4. Other maps such as Silk Road , Dragon Pass or even Giants Of Karelia
This map exceeded all my expectations. It’s so damn good, and so much fun. It’s a real testament to how powerful map design is in creating gameplay. This is still just vanilla BF4, but the way the map is designed and plays feels so much like classic Battlefield. It’s an incredible counterpoint to what Battlefield has become, and an amazing showcase of what it used to be. This map is Battlefield, and probably the best possible map this game could have ended on.
Also here's a sweet ass trailer made by the community for the official Battlefield channel that hits all the right notes.

Christ. Hearing the Chinese theme's little tune from BF2 gave the chills more than anything else has in a long time.
Honestly, I can't really think of a series I have as much nostalgia for. Every little piece of music from more or less any game that isn't Hardline does something similar for me.
All that does is make me wish the series took a 180 degree turn in the graphic and music department, making music faction themed, making the factions look apart more, and not using way too much post-processing like 3 and 4 does. I swear, those player models can look identical, most of the time the lighting makes it look like a grey mess, and it doesn't help how similar some classes are, especially assault.
On a more happy note, I just love these cinematic trailers. It really shows why I love battlefield, few games allow so much that you don't need a pre-animated trailer to show off, just coordination and good editing.
I really like rush on Dragon Valley. It's much better than the implementation of the gamemode on the other maps.

It helps that DICE's character animations are some of the best there are.
I dont agree with what you say about the character models not being differentiated enough though. Aside from the Chinese, the US and the Russian's character models are based off gear those countries actually use, and they look different enough while maintaining themes across the classes.
Sorry if this is overposted but I want to get Battlefield 2 on Steam but I can't buy it.

I've been playing a lot of Gun Master and Domination lately. It's much more fun to play than the large scale gamemodes when you're solo since you have a much greater impact on the match. And the matches don't take 60 minutes.
I play Conquest the most and with 800 tickets the matches take like 20 minutes usually.

Yeah I get why people like Conquest and everything, it's fun once in awhile. But I like when people do the objective in objective-based game modes, I notice a lot more people do what they're supposed to in Rush than Conquest.
I hope more maps are designed with Rush in mind like Battlefield 3, not all just more.

If you want to play Battlefield 2, I've been using http://battlelog.co/. You can download the entire game from there and it comes with its own launcher to connect with its own master server rather than EA's dead one.

MAV is love, MAV is life.
well, my point is that the fps drop is minimal. Of course with a refresh rate that high everything matters
Did you make the jump from 60/75 to 144 recently? I've never had the chance to get my grubby hands (eyes?) on a 144hz monitor
About a year ago when I built this PC.
How dead is hardline?
How dead is hardline?
Okay so imagine someone being hit point blank with a nuke, then double that amount of dead.
That's Hardline
