Did the Holiday patch make servers very prone to connection issues or is it just me?

Might have, but it seems to be the case for every patch.

how much damage do the starter rocket launcher and Rpg 7 do exactly? both felt completely ineffective against a BTR with Reactive Armor not to mention those bigger assault boats

Armor angling is very important. You do the least amount of damage if you hit at 45 degrees and the most if you hit perpendicular to the armor. In addition, the front is the most armored on an MBT, sides are less armored and the rear the least. You can do as little as 20 damage if hitting at a bad angle and up to 55 if you hit a perpendicular shot in the back. Reactive armor doesn't reduce damage, it increases the damage threshold at which the vehicle will get disabled or immobilized. [editline]20th December 2015[/editline] They also revamped the damage model for the boats in the last patch where you'll get a MASSIVE damage reduction if you get hit straight in the back or front.

i scored a good RPG hit straight into the APCs rear before it shot me dead and i swear it only took like 25 points in damage as for boats i always go for the sides

They changed the angles iirc. For tanks, iirc a FRONT shot is now the most damage, doing 55 damage with something like an RPG.

The shot itself must land perpendicular to the armor to do full damage. You can shoot the back armor but still do little damage if you have too high of an angle. IFVs front and back is as armored as the sides so it can be disabled if you shoot it square in the front but at least isn't not extra vulnerable to back shots.

Just pulled off a 1-round hat trick with the BTR's TOW missile. Destroyed a scout, attack, and transport helicopter. Probably the most satisfying kind of kills in this game.

I wish there were any unranked dragon valley 2015 servers for ps4, I'd like to get into this easter egg hunt

So I just saw two players boosting on a near empty server. Memories of MW2 are flashing back to me. Of course, I gave one of them the ritual knife-to-the-throat welcome.

Speaking of boosts, thanks to the fucking battlepacks I have like 25 to 30 50% boosts and like 28 25% boosts. I don't get what the point in them is other than to make me have to conciously remember to push the little button in the pause menu every hour or 30 minutes or w/e the hell it is.

I literally have 200 25% boosts. It never ends.
