You could just as easily play audiosurf deaf, which IMO makes it not a rhythm game

In Guitar Hero's case though being unable to hear the music does directly affect how easy it is to play. That's really not the case in something like Audiosurf because even though the levels are generated based upon the music the gameplay itself has very little to do with the rhythm of it. As EcksDee pointed out, the blocks are essentially generated randomly (not actually true but effectively so in comparison with something like Guitar Hero) so it tends to be erratic. In most songs you'll be lucky to find blocks that actually line up with what you are hearing.

All the Osu modes might as well be separate games. I'm good at Osu, bad at Mania, and to summarise my Taiko skills- I was overjoyed yesterday when I reached a 50 combo.

i have a bad problem with mapping mania songs where i'll complete like 5 seconds of playtime and then spend the next 15 minutes playtesting to make sure everything flows correctly

I struggle with a lot of "easy" songs on Cytus which is sorta like osu but with more simple gestures and you use your fingers so it's easier to pinpoint.

For some reason, this took a total of [b]five hours[/b] to do so. Maybe it's because of the lack of consistent segments (where it'd be like loops and blocks only or pits and pit-loops), or that some of the (slightly) off-sync notes throw me off every time (specifically the ones at 0:37, 0:42, and 0:45).

That was disappointing however if I am not mistaken after so many people buy the ad free version on iOS or Android then they release the next chapter for free.

It's that or they release a whole new chapter for £4.99, but I think it's the former.
