the scratch is the whole point as to why the chart is hard tho?
as a 4K player, Fever in DJMax is so hard to get used to ughhhhh (yes, pressing the spacebar once in a while is legitimately difficult for me)
yea i've never been fond of "scratchhammer" maps tbh they're usually 3-4 diffs below what their shown diff is, and it's just like playing a really boring D-heavy taiko map most of the time. it's probably way more fun with an actual turntable, but it wouldn't change how not difficult it is i've been thinking of setting up my fightstick to have the joystick on it mapped to the turntable. would be an interesting experiment at least there are some good ones that mix it up tho (whoops my pinky, the main star of the show, wasn't in the webcam shot~)
its way harder with a tt because on the availability with your fingers, if your pinky+ring+middle finger is preoccupied with dense scratches, you either have pull some wizardry with the thumb on the same hand, or even one-hand the pattern, and coordination with 1 hand is very hard, even more so if you want accuracy. basically, dense scratches are really hard the extreme of this but that said, physically scratching and trying to pull off 1 handed moves even if you fail at them, is very fun
1) i never thought i would find a map that's too anime for me 2) wowe i can almost "horizontal read" at my old levels again. bring on the [12]s. although i still need to work on it quite a bit more....

Than k bote
lol I sent him a message some days ago, to see how would he react. well, got an answer. Apparently there's a friend feature here that I didn't know.
:v: Well whatever, he aint supporter anyway so he can't remove it. I re-ordered my profile pics so Yukiko comes first. As she always does. ALSO ALSO ALSO MANIA GOT 10K MODE BRB LEARNING
wow even more lanes to shove shitty noodles into cant wait
(you don't need to be a supporter to edit your header once you've achieved it, though) well shit, another Mod button that screws up my skin template. Yaay. Is it only on supporter build, or already in the game? Can't open osu! right now.
Any tips on how to practice/improve fingercontrol on osu? right now it feels like my tapping is not going with the rhythm it's fine on small streams/triples but on longer streams (esp. slower streams) I just can't get it right. Well let me just demonstrate with a video. (that was my first play today so I'm not really warmed up) [vid]http://3kv.in/~techbot/ShareX/2014/10-17/osu%21%202014-10-17%2000-26-57-63.webm[/vid] and yes I know the typical answer is "play more osu", but I'm pretty sure someone else has/had this problem before and can maybe help me.
Practice really is what will help. I still suck at long streams, but I CAN manage them, and that wouldn't be the case if I had not practiced. Try not to get spooked by longer streams either - sometimes I see longer streams and accidentally start tapping faster, and that's never good. Just remember the rhythm as best as you can and keep at it.
make sure you're playing to the song and not just trying to do it by sight like i know that sounds like a super obvious thing but make sure you're actually doing that if you hear a note, or anticipate that a note should be coming up, make sure to match up with the note this should apply to most streams except for some maps that are under/over-mapped which are bad maps to begin with
how to win at music games: just keep playing [editline]17th October 2014[/editline] playing harder stuff than you're comfy with
yeah that's what I've been doing all the time, the problem now is that now I can't do the "easy" parts or I do silly misses which shouldn't happen.
i wish mania had less o2jam-like maps and more maps in general because it's so much more polished than any other BMS/o2jam sim
this is a good song i like it a lot it's such a shame i can't do sustained staircases very well ;; in other news i've started to keep my hands completely raised off of the keyboard/desk (i was still using desk as rest in the above vid) it helps a lot for certain patterns, but because i'm not used to it yet i keep miss-pressing certain notes. I used to keep my fingers resting on the keyboard at all times so i could quickly "vibrate" on the keys in rapid succession, but i kept running into the problem where my fingers would frequently rub into each other causing me to not be able to press certain key configurations. this is also a really fun song with an extremely great feeling when hitting notes i tried to keep my hand off the desk when playing this one and ended up hitting the scratch at an awkward moment whoops (are my hands interesting enough for you now ecksdee???) it says [11] but it's only as difficult as a high [9] tbh
according to taggart there's apparently a new terrible startup song/sounds for osu?? also i really like maps like this not sure what to call them, but "burst streams" sounds about right i'll see if i can upload a 60fps recording to youtube later now that it's supposedly possible
The new sounds/skin elements are actually really nice. People just need to get used to them. I'll admit that the "welcome" and "cya next time" are a tad... gay..... Also this is the most drama filled OWC ever. 14 Teams are boycotting because multi-accounters have been told they can't play this year (52 players total). Here's the list of participating countries that they created: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1JAS4vPu4dLKrVPDFbQOn9RVNyhUguqw3nOU-sVKkZQY/edit#gid=0 Here's a list of players that are removed: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1v8gQEjAdzsSvuHowts4pyjvLACMnUCwEmPQVHecqT14/edit#gid=1309938733 It sucks because the staff won't budge and the players won't budge so we're looking at UK vs Japan vs Germany vs (shitty version of) Korea.
I'll admit that the "welcome" and "cya next time" are a tad... gay.....
Yeah, just a tad. JUST A TAD.
I started playing Lunatic Rave, and Osu!mania (with 7k) and i'm kinda interested in it. (i'm using the zsxdcfv keys) Is there some songs or songpack that you would recommend for beginners?
No dude zsxdcf is so insanely close together How does one even like ugh
i can't give you a very good example because both of my keyboards have 2K rollover on most key combinations that aren't on the home row ([D][F][V] fails every time, etc) keep in mind that most low level BMS maps are designed for use with the controller, which has a nearly identical key layout to that default binding. although admittedly the keys on the controller are slightly farther apart; trying to pinpoint & press various spaced keys on a larger layout would be far more difficult. [editline]1st November 2014[/editline] here have a simple song that triggers my key rollover
zsxdcfv is a similar layout to a controller yes, but why would you? its incredibly cramped and its not like you're getting the same experience as a controller either way
