Has anyone got this game? After crying over my inability to play Project Mirai because Nintendo are dumb I think I might just get this PS3 game instead.
ive got the japanese vita version and the north american ps3 version go 4 it the songs are catchy and the rhythym section is good
was that REALLY the title? i coulda sworn it was Donkey Kong :Jungle Beat
donky konga was released first, and is a rhythm game similar to taiko jungle beat was second, and is a action platformer played with drums instead of a controller
ive got the japanese vita version and the north american ps3 version go 4 it the songs are catchy and the rhythym section is good
I'll probably go for it then. Only problem is I can't get the game on disc locally (Europe) and I'm sure the download price is mega high.
Give me a sec, I'll check the prices on P-A & the Japanese PS Store Play-Asia shows Diva F as ~£42 (with free shipping unless customs makes you eat shit), while it's 7,329 Yen on Japanese PSN, which is something like £43 The closest PSN card offered (at Play-Asia) is 10,000 Yen, for £68 so unless you can get a credit card to actually work on Japanese PSN, you'd be better off going for a physical copy, though from P-A that's gonna take about 2 weeks, and if customs fucks you, probably end up at ~£57, which is still 11 quid cheaper than buying the closest PSN card to afford it.

Time for my first attempt at a marathon map.
I hate marathon maps. I usually go for TV edits for my favorite opening songs to my chinese cartoons, unless it's a song I actually like.
I used to play a lot of GH back in the day (the first one up to Legends of Rock mostly, I didn't like the later stuff). I think I had something like over 50 Expert FCs on GH2, I don't have my PS2 controller though so I can't play it these days, but I plan to go back to it at some point.

Chroma: A free to play music driven FPS. It's made be Harmonix, the guys who made Guitar Hero's 1,2 Rock Band franchise, Frequency, Amplitude, ect. http://store.steampowered.com/app/241850 I'm in closed alpha and can't talk much about it but it's fucking incredible.
Shit looks like i will barely handle the graphics part on my PC. Atleast i have a good processor.

Okay starting up an Osu! multiplayer match. Seeing as it's the first time doing it in this thread i should probably explain it a little. Osu has a multiplayer mode where you can choose what is used to compare who's the best, and even have team matches. The osu thread (and fast anime thread) used to play osu multiplayer matches of the standard osu mode semi-regularly on saturdays. We mix it up a little by passing the host to the person below us after a map, so that everyone gets a chance to choose a song they like, or just share terrible/good songs with everyone. Traditionally most of the songs we play are near insane difficulty, although some people ocasionally played hards. It's up to the current host to choose the difficulty/song, but if it's too easy then the higher level players will be bored, and if it's too hard then the lower level players (like myself) can suck it up and try their best to not die too much. Although it's possible for mods to be used to make the song harder/easier, there's a limit to how much you can affect the map. If you've never played osu before it may not be a good idea to plop straight into multiplayer unless you're determined to play maps of difficulty that are waay too high for you. Then again maybe noone will join and it doesn't matter what level of songs are played??? Room Name: Facepunch Password: fpfa Match Info: https://osu.ppy.sh/mp/5052437 i'll probably make it public again after some time passes [t]http://i.imgur.com/ORA1BfQ.jpg[/t]

This game is far from a generic FPS with extra damage if you fire on the beat. I'm not going to break NDA though. They aren't ready to show much of it off to the world yet.

And by gameplay I mean brief tutorials of each class and the basic weapons. So I just played osu! for the first time. Oh god it's good. My absolute favourite thing is that I can link it to my last.fm and it scrobbs them which I wasn't expecting, I just thought it was linking like how we have accounts linked here. Anyone got any good beatmap packs for me? It got angry because I was downloading single song after single song.
Today on osu!, the Ultimate Comeback!

They're usually good maps, but terrible songs. There's a few good ones mixed in, though i made a chart at one point of what i consider to be good songs for standard http://facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=1208830&p=42592438&viewfull=1#post42592438 but i never made another one
if i ever get rich over night i'm gonna buy myself a pop n music arcade machine
[t]http://puu.sh/7fhO9.jpg[/t] The blood sweat and tears that went into getting this on EASY MODE. Then I look at some of you guys and I can't even imagine myself doing a fraction of the shit in the hard/insane difficulties. One day.....
Just join the multiplayer game whenever there's one around you'll either get good or die trying. Or tire the everloving fuck out of your hand.

pretty disappointed the online servers for djmax trilogy were shut down.

I haven't played in like two years but I used to be the best at the game out of all my friends. On GH3 there were only three songs I couldn't beat on Expert. Raining Blood (that strange part after the intro always gets me even if I 100% the intro, rest of the song was quite easy in comparison), through the Fire and Flames (it was only ever the intro that stopped me actually succeeding), and one other of the bonus songs I can't even remember at this point.
and one other of the bonus songs I can't even remember at this point.
probably "devil went down to georgia" i could beat every song on GH3 except for that one [editline]hi[/editline] i have no doubt i could beat it now that i've been playing 7K/8K mania-style games though [editline]hi[/editline] nope just looked up a video of it no way in hell i'm doing that second guitar solo on that guitar controller
I think my highest on Fire and Flames was something like 800K+, I wish I could've played all the DLC but I only had the PS2 version so. Also I think the shit that killed GH as a hobby for me was seeing all these people doing crazy shit that was more just like finger exercises than actual fun music to play. I mean, look at this shit right here. This dude sped the song up by an extra 25% just to add to the challenge. Also Alice, the intro's easy as fuck, I'm guessing you're trying to do it one handed right?
