[3,4,5] is really hard tho

[t]http://i.imgur.com/Zqw17w3.png[/t][t]http://i.imgur.com/9aNY22j.png[/t] atm i'm doing something like this [vid]http://webmup.com/4bpnN/vid.webm[/vid] sometime i use my right hand for the middle button tho for now i'm just practicing that motion to make it faster, but maybe someone out there has some other wacky way of doing it that's actually fundamentally better/faster the biggest bottleneck i've come across is when you have other notes alongside the staircase, because i prefer to use certain fingers for certain buttons, trying to quickly twist my hand around to hit the other buttons without losing my place is a little difficult like one other way i can think of doing it would be to use your right hand on the 4 bottom keys, and your left hand on the 3 top keys, then staircase independently with both hands at an offset. the added bonus is that you can freely hit any key at any time and all buttons have a finger; but if you have to scratch at any point in time you're screwed oh well i'll probably think of something after more ~practice~

you put both hands on your 7k, or you roll across if you play 1hand fingers can slide across ASC sized keys it's tricky getting your fingers used to being at different levels and playing scales, but you get the hang of it. around level 7-8 scales start getting shoehorned in to teach the player how to do those properly i got a pretty basic finger layout for scales and dense note charts [IMG]http://imgkk.com/i/kufv.jpg[/IMG] key 1 alters between pinky and ring depending on pattern. when i'm scratching, right hand thumb is used for key 7,6, sometimes 5 (left hand thumb can and should be used for both 3 and 5 depending on the pattern) and the scratch itself. sometimes my left hand is the only hand i use for the keys in scratch heavy areas [editline]28th December 2014[/editline] IIDX bible [media]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V5kTIofPZLw[/media] really it's a game of versatility. there's nothing wrong with interchangably using any finger for any key as long as it makes sense to do so

Have a seizure on the keys and hope you hit them, that's what I do for scales [editline]28th December 2014[/editline] Use your thumb on 5 not index it's way less strenuous and makes things a little easier to hit

they're much better on the actual TV, idk what it is about sony vegas but it makes the colours a little more washed out after rendering, my settings for it suck [editline]28th December 2014[/editline] 30fps doesnt help with how the notes look whilst scrolling either, laptop isnt good enough for 720p+60fps

oh yeah i recorded with obs with 2 sources, but the hand cam was terribly out of sync so i had to import 2 files into vegas, crop and position one so its just the handcam and layer that over the other, lots of pissing around i'm not good with videos i'll just stick to streaming [editline]28th December 2014[/editline] i dont make videos anymore anyway so its not an issue

i noticed my webcam got out of sync or be super slow when it didn't have adequate lighting my room isn't exactly fullbright so i just grabbed a desklamp and pointed it at my fingers to solve the issue

(or whatever binding it is in osu). it defaults to like 8, but most people use 12-16. i'd say start at 12, and if you find it too slow later on you can always change it. Different BPMs go faster/slower unless mania has changed that recently so get used to changing it once you find your perfect speed - get used to your hands being in the "correct position". Left hand on SDF. right hand on JKL. Choose your right thumb or left thumb for space bar. - repeat song until you can easily pass/A it. - Find harder songs if you need an easy song to start out with, i still stand by [url=https://osu.ppy.sh/s/85930]Famishin - Mecha Koi Ranman*[/url] being one of the best. It's fully keysounded, pretty dang slow, has an unforgiving accuracy so you know when you fuck up, and has a decent amount of douples/triples without being super overwhelming. whether it's changing your keybinding, moving up in modes, or using a different tool; all require enough practice to hit keys on reflex without having to think about which key to actually press. After that it's learning patterns for moving your hand to hit certain notes, then combining those.
