It's possible but it's painful as fuck for me with my tiny hands, I figured out my own technique which I feel is pretty comfortable and consistent as fuck. I need to buy a new PS2 controller just so I can start playing this shit again.

Also does anyone know if I can sync my songs to two different computers? Only way I have found is if I set it up on a network and played from it, though I just want the song's sync'd across to my laptop.

i just had osu crash while in the editor, which prompted me to save out my map again, which completely overwrote and erased the map i was working on. So now i have nothing left of the map i've been working on for two weeks. Although that's partially my fault for not thinking about saving an external backup of the map. Rip midnight stroll 2014-2014 ;;

Now i'm going back and forth with one of the tech support dudeskis asking if they could set up a .bak system for saving out crashes in the editor for the map you're currently working on so you don't completely lose all progress, only the progress since your last save.

Hopefully they'll have a rudimentary failsafe set up eventually so nobody else has to lose progress randomly. Of course that would require them to figure out what I actually want and not just tell me to save more often (I guess i could save more than every 2 minutes if i tried but it wouldn't help!!). ppy will figure it out i know he will

I did this and it's working perfect so far, thanks. Only complaint is that it pops up that 2 files have changed every time I switch (maybe registry files or something?), though I'm sure I can disable that if I bother to look.

Oh man that sucks, is there no way for you to get it back? Like an external program that can revert a file to a previous state? I'm just grasping at straws here but I have seen things like this recovered before (though they were deleted and not rewritten so it may be a lost cause).

Only thing I was decent at was Normal+Faster Speed from Cheats or somewhere in Guitar Hero Aerosmith, and only Dream On, Livin' on the Edge and Walk This Way.
Normal Normal was too hard for me because it was too slow, Normal Hard was too hard for me because extra button.
Sigh.

it doesn't really have a huge catalog of games, but depending on your taste in games, you'll probably find a few you like. i mainly got it for persona (like a lot of other people), but i've also been enjoying dragon's crown, muramasa rebirth, lumines, etc.

plus, unlike the 3DS, there's no region restrictions. there are a ton of japanese games i'd like to import at some point. project diva f 2nd releases in japan at the end of the month and depending on if it looks like it's going to get a localization, i might import it.

That's one of the main reason I want one, I'm really annoyed that I can't get the Project Mirai games without buying a Japanese 3DS. I'd rather get a Vita.

right now mania is having a minor shitfit with PPv2 because DT is giving insane amounts of PP
the problem is that mods don't increase your overall score at all, so if you got a decent nomod score on a map, it's basically impossible to get a higher DT score. Also, a DT B is currently worth more than a nomod SS (which is extremely fucking difficult to get in mania).

Someone tried it out by playing a fresh map with DT on, and getting something like a B on it. They got 46PP, and then replayed the map without DT beating their score. Their PP shot back down to what is was before, because the score itself was overwritten with a nomod.

HD/FL also currently don't give any bonus PP, which is great because mods in mania should only be used as a personal challenge increaser.

PP also increases as your accuracy increases in mania, which is how it should be. Although higher letters can also increase your rating a lot. It also uses the new internal difficulty algorithm for maps that will be replacing the current star rating, but it's still isn't that great at determining difficulty yet.
