I'd like to request some way to add admins manually. Currently admins.txt file is versioned, which means it could be overwritten with an update. As a workaround I had to write a plugin that rewrites this file with the list of admins from SourceMod.
Btw since there's a lot of admin plugins available for sourcemod (like SourceBans), maybe it's not really necessary to create such features within the mod.
yea it's on our tracker http://dev.jaykinbacon.co.uk/issues/354 it's a big problem for the handgun only mutator lol. nobody can win basically. it was in the process of being fixed when we got bricked so yea, it'll def be sorted come release, same with editing the admin files.
as for plugins yea probably right, but at this point Jim already made them and (barring a few fixes) it's nice to have stuff that's custom instead of just lots of plugins other people made. we'll see how things go tho
HELLO things are pretty much moving a million miles an hour right now since I started up a JB3 discord. We've got almost all of the old gang back together (still waiting for a few stragglers) but the discord also has a public section where people can join up and chat or give feedback or whatever. as far as status goes, the new programmer crew (RaraKnight, Jill, VanSulli and IAmGoofBall) are gettin read to dive into things now, so hopefully we'll be able to get somewhere and resume progress. Fingers crossed.
Looking forward to Jaykin' Bacon if it becomes a thing again, I remember the old gold games were a lot of fun, good luck with getting it working again!

Someone give me a quick refresher, why did development originally stop?
Valve released a security patch for the engine that caused a lot of weird bugs that nobody had the time slash energy to fix.
iirc that update finally killed off Obsidian Conflict as well .
well i mean that's half of it. we'd been discussing remaking the game in Unreal for awhile after growing more and more frustrated with the issues and limitations of Source (especially since we don't get full engine access with Source), and when that patch dropped and brought with it a whole new batch of bugs that'd require days and days of work to fix, plus some engine crashes that didn't even seem fixable period, we decided to finally switch to Unreal engine and just drop the fucking there where it was.
The plan then was to wait for jim to get a new base set up in the Unreal engine and then we'd all start contributing to it again, but Jim's new job just ate up all free free-time, and while progress was made little by little over the years, after like almost a year since something was added i decided to go back and try to revive the source version so we'll have something to play on at least while we wait for the Unreal build to maybe get finished.
I can now offically say that all game mods work! There is still some minor issues to work out but for the most part it's all good!

This mod looked very proud back in 2012. Glad to see it again still holding up. I still have old build somewhere, but I didn't had the opportunity to play.

2013 MP, and currently HL2DM and CSS (tho the HL2DM req will likely get dropped since IIRC we only originally added it to have maps to play on)

Rusty's doing UI/UX stuff for us so we're good there. For voice acting I'm inclined to just stay true to JB's roots and just have one guy voice everything lol (BDA). So yea we're pretty well set for now but I'll let you know if something changes.
