Cyberpunk is (and has always been) a very dark, depraved style of fiction. You can go all the way back to the novel Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep (published in 1968) and find examples like this. It might seem morally apprehensible from the outside, but when you put it into the context of the genre it makes sense.
Its really silly to bash the game for sexism when we don't even know the context of what's happening in the trailer...
This post made me chuckle since devs are Polish :v:
We like to 'Polish' our craft.
cd projekt red have a habit of overfemenizing key female characters and even then it's only half and half. who's the only girl you'd willingly want to bang in witcher 2? triss is pretty much the only attractive one. the other ones are pretty so-so in terms of physical appearance. is that a crime? it seems to me every videogame does that how come metal gear never gets frowned upon for oversexualizing women? it's a dumb topic because the majority playerbase are straight men who don't mind seeing a little tittay or badonkadonk
I'm looking into getting a Cyberpunk 2020 game going with my friends, does anybody know the best stories to play

A shame they didn't pick Neuroshima instead of Cyberpunk. Or Monastyr. Oh god, monastyr.
Loved the Witcher games, so I'm definitely looking forward to this. Just not ready to upgrade my video card again to play it. CD Projekt likes to make sure their games has a quality that puts Crysis to shame.

So I guess she's a "Psycho" who they recruited for the squad? I'm late aren't I.
Is there any movies/games/media today that I can consume that'll satisfy my need to experience some dark and grim futuristic whatever? What are some good ones besides books. I don't have time to read a book :$

Also check out E.Y.E Divine Cybermancy, it has a silly learning curve but all the positive things about it are cranked up to 11. On that note Warhammer 40k is fun, quite a few games to choose from set in that universe too.
Thanks for the suggestions guys <3
This trailer made me watch ghost and a shell 1 & 2, and buy Deus Ex.
I'm somewhat interested in trying Cyberpunk 2020. 1.) Is it worth the effort? 2.) Where do I begin?
Cyberpunk is one of my all time favourite genres, and I'm looking forward to seeing more of this. HnnnnghSoGoodLooking
oh cool some of the poster things in that trailer are assets taken straight from the Cyberpunk 2020 rulebooks
Speaking of Cyberpunk, there was a sourcemod that was popular for some time called Dystopia... Was a pretty sweet game. Hate that it fell out of style...
The point where you get arm blades is the point where you got too many modifications
Arms blades is just the beginning!
The point where you get arm blades is the point where you got too many modifications
I think the point at which you just killed that one dude because he said arm blades weren't for him is the point when you have too many.

God I need to watch bladerunner
Blade Runner is the epitome of cyberpunk.
I remember the first time I watched it. I was already heavily into cyberpunk at the time as well as movies. For some reason I think it got described to me poorly in the past so I expected some cheesy almost paul verhoeven style movie with maybe a few good elements. To date it's my favourite movie ever and it completely expanded my outlook on sci-fi and cyberpunk. It's just everything you need to know about cyberpunk in one perfect movie. And that fucking soundtrack
God I love cyberpunk, it's like a good blunt that I only smoke rarely and when I do, it's too good.
