Ugh, the Stellaris hype is too strong. I've been holding back about it but its too strong. It's a mix of Paradox gameplay and the original concept of the Spore space stage (or at least how I imagined it back in '07). Even if its an awful launch and buggy I'll probably still love it.

Right now it's a race to mop up the swarms of Romanian, Bulgarian and Italian divisions waddling around in eastern Europe before they can liberate enough territories for Germany to start fighting back, since they could utilize the eastern factories. Oddly enough, Finland is totally neutral, and hasn't done anything to join the war effort after the Soviets lost, and Spain is embargoed by Germany. Also, America is doing jack shit despite having been involved in the war for 2+ years now. No real major naval battles. This may be because Japan has only eaten small portions of Indonesia and has ignored the Philippines due to efforts in China.

I had a cheeky idea of moving all of my army to Britain in hopes of giving the Allies a boost in Overlord, but then they lost all of their organization and were worthless so they sat in England. I had to end the campaign because I crashed about three times a month, however, and it just got so damned annoying

Been telling myself to stop playing games, and have succeeded to some degree. But fuck, I couldn't prevent myself from pre-ordering Stellaris.

My hype is off the fucking charts for Stellaris. Preordered it despite never preordering games.

Preordered it because my girlfriend got it as a gift, plus I had leftover casholeum from selling off some of my reenactor stuff.
