Howd do you do that?
Go to your library and hit download.
You can do it from a web browser too, don't need a mobile app
i literally don't even want to fucking leave my apartment for a month now
this is fucking incredible
The early-game is great, what I've always wanted from a space game. And it's actually manageable unlike Distant Worlds.
My space crabs are getting fucked up by those space octopus things, fuck me.
The game is fun but so far I haven't really noticed anything Stellaris does that hasn't been done already by other space games other than maybe the way the map and borders are handled. The tech tree so far is just "+x% to this" or "level 2 of x building" with a couple of new buildings thrown in. But maybe I just haven't played enough.
thanks paradox, stuttering issues for many people (myself included) on computers which shouldn't be having this issue.
aaaah I hope they patch it soon.
They evidently have a fix for the stuttering already and just have to test it before pushing it.
Am I being stupid or doing something wrong when renaming ships? I changed the name of of a few, and everywhere but the tooltip when hovering over it is it's new name. The tooltip still has the original name.
Just a minor thing but a little annoying.

Figured it out, I was renaming the fleet, not the ship.
Has anyone had any luck with Stellaris multiplayer?
Am i missing something when declaring war? I can't seem to choose any war goals, and when i just click confirm without choosing anything, i crush the enemy and they just surrender and i get nothing.
EDIT: Nevermind, apparently you have to be really specific and drag the war goals right onto your empire name. Can't be under it, can't double click them either.
I also annexed a planet that had primitive pops, then one of their pops became my leader after being elected even though i put in that only the primary species can get elected.
Other than that, it seems to work fine. No CTD in like 4-5 hours, some stuttering here and there. The AI can kick your ass, i've had my fleet crushed in a stalemate, then a planet rebelled and i had to surrender to them and they took half of my territory.
Loving the game so far, but I very much regret picking xenophobia for a trait. I have no way of making first contact without outright hostility.
ingame trait change pls
Paradox, pls push the stuttering fix already. This is just suffering.
Making new flags is a little more involved then their other games (well I'm never tried to mod CK2 flags)
There are alpha masks, different sized images, black and white.
Again, why do alien leaders keep getting elected when i put Leadership to Primary Species only?

Define luck. If you mean prospering and not losing, then no :v:
Was in a winning war, while another faction in the middle of it pushed their influence into a system that I was using to reach my enemy, and I decided to declare war so I could regain access and finish of the planet I was sieging. A few months later and a 1k fleet had pushed me back to my home planet. I got some friends to declare war on to help me, but the problem was that their effort didn't contribute to my warscore because it was a separate war.
Don't play around with the defines. I tried changing the number of points allowed for traits and such, and it crashed the game upon 100% loading; changed them back to their default values and still have crashes every fucking time. I had it running fine earlier until this.
I BROKE EVERYTHING :scream:
So new flags are automatically added to the game when you have a appropriate .dds files, no need to edit any text files it seems.

Well it's a paradox game, so chances are you can just open the save file in notepad and change it. Lemme have a look
[editline]:o[/editline]
No, looks like the save file is compressed :/

Yay. Now I just need to make an alpha mask.

Just like HOI4, UI updates on the fly, so if you're making a new flag, you don't need to restart the game to see the changes.

If you don't make small icons for your flag, it just uses your main flag and scales them appropriately. Map icons won't show up though, you need those.
Loving Stellaris so far
It's probably the easiest Paradox game to get into, I haven't found any steep learning curve yet
but then I haven't yet gone to war or enstablished connection with alien species so we'll see about that
Anyone figure out how to edit save files yet? I don't think I set a ship prefix...
I uplifted a primitive species, only for it to end up being a lizard hive mind that hates me. Oops.
Imperium of man mod when?
Fuck both my games and I ended up getting rekt, how is it that a small Empire can field more and advanced ships then me when I built and upgrade my stations at every oppertunity?
I saw the workshop all page was blank and figured I could make the first mod
Spent most of my lunch designing it and making it
Spent the rest of my work day refreshing the workshop page to make sure nobody beat me to it
Then I get home and realize that the browse all page is different, hit it, and see two pages of mods.
FML.
Well playing the game for about a few hours now. Decided to use the console to observe the rest of the map. So far im surrounding by other smaller empires, then i look at the corner of the map. A massive empire with over 200 stars under it's control is slowly expanding to the rest of the galaxy.
Im going to enjoy this game for a while.
Anyone managed to rename their standing armies on their planet?
I mean I click on the name as I try to rename but it ain't happening.
Im so pumped for DLC
I know people hate the PDox model but if this was a game from some other company, I'd be like "it's good but its a shame thats it"
Now I'm just thinking of all the cool ways well see it expand
So should I get the game now or wait for a sale? Already bought fo4 and overwatch this month and planning on getting a new cpu by the end of it so I don't wanna push my budget too hard if it aint worth picking up yet.
Is it just me or are pirate ships ('repurposed civilian freighters') punching way above their weight.
They just destroyed my entire starting military fleet despite only an eight point difference in strength (in the pirates favour) while they were at the same time being attacked by a strength 41 station.
