how can I leave a faction?
If you're at peace, go to the faction leader's diplo page and select leave faction
How in god'a name do you add divisions to a naval invasion. Trying to invade germany but it wont let me for some reason
Ok im an idiot turns out its cause i had more than 10 divisions selected and thats my capacity atm. Whoops.
Italy did have a relatively impressive navy though, although the British were quick to blow most of out of the water at Taranto and I've heard that their Air force was somewhat respectable.
Italy had a competent Navy and Airforce, but they didn't have quite the same industry to constantly develop and construct new ships and aircraft at a supremely rapid pace as can be seen how German / British / American industry shit out new vehicles and prototypes every year. The Italian Navy was a tremendous threat to the British in the Mediterranean and certainly could have sunk a large portion of British convoys and even carriers, but the British air power eventually forced Italian Admirals to keep their ships in port, because closing on mobile carriers with battleships and cruisers with no air support sucks.
In hindsight China in the Axis would have been an absolute nightmare for the Soviets. May have changed the outcome of the war.
Hitler had originally intended to ally with China against the Soviets but the Sino-Japanese war made him think the Japanese were more militarily capable and the fall of Nanking thwarted any effort to negotiate peace between the two in a way that would have been acceptable to the Chinese. Unsurprisingly this went against the desires of pretty much everyone involved on the German side since German businesses had much more trade going on with the Chinese than the Japanese. It's unfortunate that Paradox games don't/can't be as dynamic as the actual lead up to WWII actually was. I'd be perfectly ok with a WWII game that started in the 20s so there is actually a build up but I guess that would have to take into account too many scenarios. I guess that's why I like Kaiserreich so much, WWII rarely happens exactly the same way.
If I remember correctly, Hitler saw the Chinese as an industrial power on the rise that wouldn't focus entirely on military issues, and knew that an economically+industrially independent China would make an incredibly useful ally.
It's quite an interesting relation, the Chinese would have quite the reasons for going to war to reclaim old territory as well. Outer Manchuria, Mongolia, Xinjiang. BlackICE is one of the few mod's I've seen that touches on it with divisions of German trained Chinese forces.
Huh, Argentina has a female leader for their Communist party. IRL, she fought in a volunteer division during the Spanish Civil War on the Republican side. [editline]11th June 2016[/editline] Ah she was also leader of the Communist part IRL, from 1970 until her death in 2011

Amazing Ok Let's get down to the important things: -Kaiserreich mod when -Random world generator with random countries generator when I wanna use all that fancy stuff for randomized battles and stuff.

At least the main KR devs are actually involved in this version. The HoI3 attempt was just a random group with some support from the devs that never really went anywhere.
If you're at peace, go to the faction leader's diplo page and select leave faction
so wait, I can't leave the allies because they're at war with some shithole in asia?
So I'm really into Paradox GS games, but I've always struggled with Hearts of Iron, both because of its complexity and also because I was never really a fan of how the war would turn out roughly the same way each time - I like my alternate history. With that in mind, how would I do with HoI4?
Can anyone give me some hot tips for actual combat in HoI4? If you're looking for a fun as fuck game I recommend trying out the People's Republic of China. Beating back Japan and reclaiming China from them felt p rad. My tip is to start boosting party loyalty in China right away, fabricate on Shanxi (because even though they have the same sort of flag they're not allied in any way to China itself), increase opinion of Soviets since they won't allow you in to the Comintern, and just mass produce as much infantry as you can. If you're good at the game you can probably do without Soviet help, which would be nice since Soviets always get a say in peace treaties which (usually) leaves you without significant parts of China. Getting back cored claims is very cheap and I THINK they dont go away after you have fabricated them, so once you got the political power after raising party loyalty in China proper and increasing opinion + non-aggression and military access with the Soviets just fabricate on everyone. Would also recommend focusing on building up infrastructure, you're going to be China + best friends Soviets, which means your strength lies in numbers. Cant have that full potential if your infrastructure cant support it.

What kind of crazy mod is this and where can I get it?
What kind of crazy mod is this and where can I get it?
It's my A New Order mod, which takes place in the sixties after Germany won the war, in a three way Cold War between Germany and Japan and America. I'll post pictures as I go and it'll start popping up on Reddit and the forums when I got more to show.
I won the Spanish Civil War as the republicans. Now I'm in a war with the allied powers because Big Buddy Soviet Union attacked Romania. So I took Gibraltar and am currently fending off naval invasions from the Brits and Danes with ease.
I just finished a game as the soviets and, man, it was really easy. At no point was there a risk of losing. During the game I sacked both Berlin and Tokyo.
The amount of bullshit you need to pull to survive as Austria. I'm loving it.
It seems like this game is either rediculously hard or super easy. I just played through as China and pretty easily beat back Japan without any faction help. I then used paratroopers to take their mainland. Other than the very early game, the whole thing was super easy.
Currently watching Allied naval invasion of Axis-occupied China. It's 1949.
Play as Italy in a Multiplayer game, start the wrong war almost get eaten by France. Get helped back to some sort of stability and fight off countless port invasions because my divisions are busy taking over Egypt and Palestine. Now I am left with 65 broken divisions in need of proper resupply and re-arm. It's only 1940 and the war has only just gotten into full-swing.
USSR is underpowered (rebalance is direly needed) and some events are... Dubious, to say the least.

Bro you sure you aren't playing a textbook history of Italy in WW2? Cause that sure does sound familiar.
USSR is underpowered (rebalance is direly needed) and some events are... Dubious, to say the least.
Underpowered? How? I found it rediculously easy to single handedly steamroll Germany and Japan in like 1941.
Reminder to never go full Hitler :D I'm playing as Fascist Ireland and currently joined up with Hitler in a two front war against France and the Soviet Union [t]http://i.imgur.com/mMPa4T5.jpg[/t] United Kingdom was also entirely undefended by its navy allowing me to slip by an army in Glasgow [t]http://i.imgur.com/An39EbD.jpg[/t] I've taken London right now, but that hasn't caused them to surrender, wondering If I should just reload the game turn communist instead :D
Underpowered? How? I found it rediculously easy to single handedly steamroll Germany and Japan in like 1941.
If I want to steamroll in 1936 I, for some reason, don't have neither T-35 nor 45mm 19K gun - both of them were in production since 1932 but here I need to research them first. i.e. I have to start without medium tanks and anti-tank artillery which USSR historically had at that time. What? It goes to the situations like when I have double the division numbers Wehrmacht easily stops my advance, when, historically, they didn't have technical nor tactical advantage. Jeez, I get it, balance and shit but seriously, what the hell? I found Axis way overbuffed compared to others - France doesn't have shit, USSR have to research things some countries have from the start. Same goes for UK, kinda way too "neither-neither" for a straight up "plug-n-play".

I think I attacked them ~1940 after they had annexed France and just continually pushed them back to Berlin with no problem at all. I've found that infantry divisions with the entire thing full of regular infantry except for one slot in each column for artillery and maybe one or two AT guns just dominated everything.
Maybe RNG just hates me.
