PARADOX. STOP. WE DON'T NEED MORE MAP.
feck off, the steppes never get any love in any game ever.
State of CK2, 1309, this was from the Charlemagne start date (Side note, there are a lot of Elective Monarchies here, Francia, Byzantium, England, Scotland, Suomi) [t]http://i.imgur.com/HZ0Bkmp.png[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/cW1EJlQ.png[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/elYyX04.png[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/DgAVgYW.png[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/dcOaA66.png[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/8ZDu8mq.png[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/qmWU4TP.png[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/ZqO3bXA.png[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/whMLvu0.png[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/vXoHrEA.png[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/4t7ugyP.png[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/oAuy6Nq.png[/t]
how to make Ethiopia jewish?
For that start, the AI England is beautiful
how to make Ethiopia jewish?
Set missionary to convert, then set his budget slider to zero. You will get jewish rebels soon and let them siege your entire country until it breaks.

My beautiful country! KILL THOSE SCUMS!
Anyone know when the HoI4 gameplay is coming out? The one the tweets were about?
Anyone know when the HoI4 gameplay is coming out? The one the tweets were about?
The tweets were from YouTubers playing the game at a press event. They played yesterday and today, but they were only allowed to record and take media today. Quill18 says he will have his stuff up next Monday, but I don't know if that is because of a NDA, or he just wants a week to organize it. [editline]3rd June 2015[/editline] Ah, they're embargoed until Monday https://twitter.com/quill18/status/606129747102474240 I'm thinking because Paradox wants to release something themselves, or maybe something to do with the Dev Diary Friday.

Here is the End of my CK2 game exported to EU4. It was exported in 1506 because apparently the game doesn't end if you're in 'observe' mode. [t]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/543028444629028705/D37DBFAB2B89A6C976017A9508775966DC998F39/[/t] [t]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/543028444629496921/613CAA80CD73ACF31006BC76AEF9E50D8CADED16/[/t] [t]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/543028444629050453/6D4A473227BB6FE20988F06A46C215F9485D4FB3/[/t] [editline]3rd June 2015[/editline] Exporting past the enddate I think bugged it. No one has any rulers and almost every single exported country has the Carolingian ideas. Yeah, that is exactly it. The Country history files have rulers for post 1444, so the game doesn't load them. Though that doesn't explain the Carolingian ideas.
The Emperor of Francia inherited the lands of the king of burgundy despite the guy still being alive and the emperor not having claims or being in line for inheritance CK2 gets fucky in multiplayer.

Only took me until 603, but I did it. I sure hope no random Arabian merchants somehow cause a massive religious insurgence in the next decade, that would be surprising. Mod is EUIV: Extended, playan' as the Roman Empire with the long term goals of: 1. Zeus is king, no religion but Hellenism is to be tolerated in the Empire. 2. All historical conquests of the Romans and Hellenes are to be taken to their logical conclusions. This includes the creation of Greek Ukraine, Roman Aksum (done), Hellenic Arabia (check), and reenacting the conquests of Alexander the Great. 3. Fuck Germany, fuck them so bad. The barbarian migration events fucked me up bad in the 200s, but I have seemingly recovered with the help of a Druidist England, strangely helpful Goths, and a sleu of other allies that i periodically annex.
if a country with generic national ideas forms malaya, do they get the malayan sultanate ideas?
I played as France recently in Black ICE, its definitely doable playing as them. The AI gets some weird modifiers I believe like you said, but as long as you hold the low countries they shouldn't (I say shouldn't because the AI sometimes fucks up) breach the Maginot. The problem with France's army is almost none if any divisions have AT attached to them, and their Theater HQ's have Inf tanks on them as well for some reason???
Bit late but i just remembered that when i played as France i held out until late 1941 expecting Germany to declare war on the Soviet Union but that never happened. So it seems that France must fall before they can declare war on the soviets? I really don't know
awe, I can't load any of my hands off EU4 auto saves, they just crash. Which is weird, the game played straight though to the end without crashing, I wonder what is in the save files causing it to crash.
Is it possible to play EU4 Meiou and taxes online or lan or something? I probably asked this before but i really want to play it with someone
As long as you guys have the exact same checksum yes
As long as you guys have the exact same checksum yes
I have 1.11.4.0 8bc5 in Meiou
Oh, i wasn't saying I wanted to play, I meant that is what you needed to be able to connect to someone. I'm not a fan of MEIOU
Rejected

The fort system was the topic of the April 9th dev diary, but since then we've been iterating on and improving the design according to the feedback we got from QA, beta testers and fans. One thing that was very quickly evident was that the larger garrisons did not quite work out - forts able to sortie 20k armies could result in unwinnable wars and minors simply could not muster the troops needed to beat such numbers. As such, the garrison was reduced back to 1k per fort level, but we added an additional requirement that you must have at least 3000 men per fort level to effectively besiege a fort, so a level 2 fort needs 6k soldiers to besiege.

As such, the garrison was reduced back to 1k per fort level

reduced back to 1k per fort level
....
EU4 Game is fucked. As Ottomans, start the usual conquests. Qara goes batshit and expands into Arabia, what's left in leftern persia being eaten by me. Persia emerges, eats Afghanistan & Timurids, eaten by me. Golden Horde went batshit and ate Muscowvy and is eating Finland and Sweden (HOW) But the weirdest part for me is slowly colonizing islands and starting to colonize Siberia, seeing as no one has colonized it. Yet.
You have become Spain, destroyer of Siberian borders

I finally have a Pagan game where I decide to convert to Catholic and Fracticelli just usurped Catholicism as the dominate faith. Fuuuucckkkkk. I'm a heretic now.

[thumb]http://i.imgur.com/Wbb420x.jpg[/thumb] The cores england has one france? they actually took them back and more in a war, the Netherlands also broke free from the English. Spain can into France. In Italy, just Pisa and nuff said. Also thats magdeburg in denmark by the way guys, you know the OPM that doesnt even start in a sea tile. [thumb]http://i.imgur.com/ZXyCi43.jpg[/thumb] The entire german region went nuts with protestantism too, and France. There wasnt enough people eligible for the peopel to vote for because of all the religious problems that they voted me in for the emperorship, bare in mind I wasnt even part of the HRE and im also in the middle east (which sadly measn i cant even become part of it R.I.P minus revolt risk, tech cost and reputaion). Also not seen, Portugal and Spain hate each other with doing the biggest of cock blocks and helping Portugals colonies get independence.
There is a world war in my CK2 game. [t]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/536273045189997354/FF9CDDE8C9893E7D5668D118CA8A9B74E194EE26/[/t] Every single major power in Christendom, besides Aquitaine and England, who are currently battling out for control of France, and Leon, who went a province away from conquering Hispania and is now being knocked back time and time again due to the encroaching power of Islam, and the HRE, who would never assist their German, Bavarian and Italian enemies, are in this war. Proxy wars have started with the HRE and Aquitaine trying to take land from the participants. Germany has collapsed from the cost of the war, and Bavaria is showing strain. The war had just turned to the Catholic side, who were hoping to make a final battle against the Fraticelli before the Estonian Imperium collapsed due to infighting and ended any chance of Catholic power in Europe, until the Byzantines decided to join the war in protection of their Fraticelli comrades, with hopes of taking land in Italy to keep after the war and hopefully expand westward, since the Timurid menace has blocked them in the east. It started with the Covenant of Domberg, where Agapetus, a priest under the Emperor of Estonia Hoimulemb Parn, was pronounced the pope of the last Catholic realms by his emperor. The Catholic Pope disagreed with this of course, but the Covenant stated that Agapetus would displace the weak willed and Fraticelli influenced Pope Mark, and Estonian troops quickly landed in secret around Rome and scaled the walls before the defenders could react, throwing off the defenders and quickly making peace with the Germans and Italians who ruled Rome. The peace was short lived, as now Pope Agapetus demanded that the Fraticelli of Italy be removed, declaring crusade. The Emperor of Estonia of course gave his aid, as did several other dukes and kings, though the western Catholics were hesitant to supply aid and simply gave words of encouragement as they went about their own business (something that would cause a later split in the religion). The Aquitanians still dealt with the large amount of Fraticelli nobles, having been converted between the religions three times now, and the English were too busy trying to reclaim their Norman holdings. The war started with a massive 20,000 vs. 15,000 battle as Estonian soldiers with a massive complement of mercenaries hit an invading force that had surrounded Rome (taken in a quick invasion before the Italians could respond a year prior, where the Pope now led the crusade from), and struck the force of Italian soldiers and Templar Knights, and routed them north. Estonian forces moved north, scattering the surprised Italians who still hadn't properly prepared after the attack on Rome, and soon the Estonians were trying to take the border counties of Trent and Treviso, with the hope of keeping the Bavarians from the war while the pope and the other crusading armies mopped up the rest of the Italians. Disaster struck however as the Genoese hired their mercenary armies, those not already taken by the Estonians, and struck off the papal armies and their comrades. The Estonians were forced to split their armies from the eastern fortresses and attempt to contain the Genoese, and with a now reduced force holding the east, the Bavarians found encouragement to move in. Bavarian armies broke the Estonian ones as the Genoese were hold in stalemate, and German armies crossed over from the Swiss Alps in what would become known as one of the largest flanking maneuvers for the next five hundred years. 30,000 men were fighting in the Lombard grasslands when a retreating force of 5,000 Estonians met them, followed by 15,000 Bavarians and 10,000 Germans. Papal allies moved in, and soon over 100,000 men were battling through North Italy. The Estonians were forced back, and quickly retreated to their ships in an attempt to reorganize in Aquitaine Sardinia, which did't wish to antagonize the Estonians anymore than they had by not participating in the war. By now, dozens of rulers had joined the crusades, and the crusading armies just barely managed to muster up enough of a force to hold off the heretics at the Lucca-Ferrara line, where they desperately held South Italy as the pope begged the Estonians to send more aid. Things were looking grim when the Empress of Nordmannia passed away in her sleep. Although the Estonians had split the two empires 150 years prior, the lines had happened to merge again with Hoimulemb as his mother passed, the Parnish Empires once again were whole. Although plans prior had called for the lines to once again split with some choice lands going to the Estonians, for the two lands almost impossible to hold at once, Hoimulemb risked antagonizing the Nords in order to use their armies to save the crusades. The Nords had been battling the Germans for control of Holstein, and the Estonians mustered whatever armies they had left in their homeland and summoned another two regiments of mercenaries to break the bitter stalemate there. Holstein was taken soon after, and was followed by a march south by the second army, with the first Estonian army landing in South Italy to hold the heretics from taking Rome. The second army broke the German's back, who had gone bankrupt through the war and had quickly collapsed. The Bavarians held off raids on their border, but were forced to withdraw their armies from the south in order to prevent an Estonian northern incursion. The first and second armies linked together soon after, Emperor Hoimulemb shaking hands with Pope Silverius (Pope Agapetus took an arrow while leading men in the retreat south earlier in the war) ion the Lucca-Ferra to the applause and cheers of thousands of soldiers from all across Europe. Aquitainian and English mercenaries, German Catholic rebels who had been in hiding until the crusade, Estonians, Poles, Finns (Estonians, Lower Estonians, Upper Estonians), Nords, Hungarians and Italians each drinking well into the night without regard for their traditional boundaries in celebration of their recent luck. This was a mistake. The drunken soldiers along the line saw no threat from the demoralized Italians and Bavarians who were forced north, as North Italy had seemingly been drained of fighting men in the constant wars and looting and nobody could possibly stand against the 100,000 who stood the line. They didn't expect the Byzantine landing. The Emperor of the Romans had converted to Fraticelli during the springtime of Germany and the Fraticelli faith, when the Holy Roman Empire controlled all of Bavaria, Germany, Aquitaine, Italy and Bohemia, and in exchange for converting to the budding faith he received military aid against the Timurids of the east, who had conquered Persia and moved west. The fall of the Fraticelli would do no good for the Romans, who desperately relied on western aid to hold the line against the Muslims, and wished to take Italian land (despite it now mostly being blasted wasteland from the constant looting) to further their dreams of uniting the ancient Roman Empire. Byzantine soldiers landed in Italy and flanked the line from east and south, routing the crusading armies and nearly surrounding Rome had it not been for a rapid deployment of the rest of Estonia's Nord reserves. The northmen, having been devout Catholics for hundreds of years in a world where they had seen their faith go from triumphant to an oppressed minority, fought for Rome with everything they were worth. More than half of them died, sacrificing themselves against the ridiculous odds as the Byzantines slammed against their lines time after time. They held long enough for the Estonians and crusaders to redeploy and hold back the Byzantines from further expansion, but now the Bavarians have returned to North Italy, and the Genoese have finally gathered enough coin to raise another band of mercenaries. The last of the Fraticelli holy orders have reorganized for a final stand against Catholicism, and the crusaders have called the last of their reserves for the one last push they need to take Italy from their heretic enemy. Over a hundred thousand men have died, not counting the countless peasants of Italy and Germany who have starved or passed from disease in the chaos. Both sides are bled dry, and even the once mighty Estonian Imperium is fearing bankruptcy in less than a year. This is the bloodiest war Europe has ever seen, and as the Muslims make continue their bloody march through the broken Kingdoms of Spain, and the children of Timurid now attack anew on the Byzantines now unprotected eastern flank, the war seems to only be a hint of those to come.
Remember Ottoman Russia? Well, I managed to carve some land all the way up in a costly war. Hope you don't have OCD with good borders. Doing this cut down the colonists time to get there, used to take them three years. To get it I had to kill off Persia and Khorasan and then I had to stand tall in fighting Burkhara+Golden Horde combined. Who were Muslim tech. Thank fuck I managed to do it, they were already enroaching in Persia, but this gives me the ability to go after Yarkand or Burkhara. I might leave Golden Horde alone.
