Holy shit, did Germany began a new WW by annexing Luxemburg at the time this was made?
I'm more worried about Switzerland bleeding into Northern Italy.

Or Scotland being independent.
Nothings weird as playing the Inca and westernizing.
Only to look over to Europe and see that Armagnac somehow got free and ate France, now having perfect France borders.
What did that accomplish?!
Have they explained what "force vassal" Casus Belli is going to be for Horse Lords?
iirc isn't it if you're a King or above and a neighbor has de-jure duchies/higher, you can basically "dejure war for X" for all counties.
I.E If Poland inherits an independent Bohemia, the Holy Roman Emperor can demand it back.
idk if it works like that but tha'ts what I believe it may be

I imagine that it, when you win the war, forces the loser to become your vassal and can probably not be done on someone with a higher title than you
Oh wow

They really improved the Random New World generation.
The Land masses are not as random anymore, they're made up of pre-made shapes, but they're randomly put together.
So it makes the land look a little more natural.

Ahhh finally, no more Westeros-type shit
- Generation of countries. Countries will have randomly generated names and flags, and country spread will be improved so you don't have giant clusters of migratory OPMs.
- Variation in province count. Instead of always finding a RNW of approximately the same size as the old one, you will now find everything from all-island RNWs to supercontinents, making the process of discovery far more interesting.
Absolutely delicious
I would definitely like there to be a (very small) chance of the Americas being even more advanced than Europe, so that while you're gearing up to explore as Portugal, a Native American Carrack might show up and discover you first.
Ideally you should be able to tweak this chance (and turn it off if you don't like it).
That would be neat. Optional obviously.
We have a bunch of talented map modders in the beta, we'll be asking them if they want to help out. If other map modders would like to contribute, they should PM me and we might get them into the beta as well as we did with the map changes for 1.8.

They are slowly crawling to in-game mod editors.
Wake me up when they have genuine random everything and a more in-depth CM editor for really lazy people, though.
The best form of non-sexual arousal is encirclements

yep, the feeling of cutting of troops with no way of receiving supplies is the best feeling ever. I once managed to cut of an entire chinese army consisting of around 300k troops nearby the yellow sea. They had a port which they received their supplies from but eventually my glorious troops cut that shit off too. Obviously most of these troops were conscripts but it was extremely satisfying to do it and it made me eventually win the war against the chinese.
pshh that's a tiny kessel hahaha
was it whittled down or was it just a small bypass?

Have fun when the Germans roll over France.

Kessel? I'm guessing you mean that one unit that's trapped in the bottom by Madrid. Naw then, the entire Nat Spain terrain in the pic is the encirclement I meant. They spawn in pretty much every corner of the map. I managed to pin 20 divisions down around Gibraltar by holding Partisans/Millita in the mountains/rivers for insane defense modifiers then had my infantry do the slaughtering. The rest of my line broke their eastern flank by the French mountain borders and enveloped them from the north while my forces held the main line on the mountain line/rivers in central Spain/Madrid.

I'd LOVE to see the Germans try to get over the mountain chain. Even more so when the Soviets come in the war early since I'll be in the Comintern.

They do.
They get over the mountain chain like it's made out of babies. While the Germans are bringing tanks.

I'll get back to you on that one
It may just be because AI Republican Spain can't handle jack shit if it wins the civil war, at least in Vanilla and HPP.
In HPP especially, I've had the Republicans pull victory from the jaws of defeat (i.e smash the Fascists in late 1940/early 1941) and then the Hungry Hungry Hitler decides to have another bite and just fucking spills over the Pyrenees and takes Madrid in under a month.

I've actually been doing this in CK2 since I've played it. Naming your kids is the single best thing about it, and whatever system they use to name more children is incredible.
I name kids stuff like John Cena or Spicy Sauce and two generations later I'm getting rebels named Hernando Cenazson or Spicy Nuno Sauceion. I also renamed the Empire of Hispania the Cenation.
CK2 is insane fun if you aren't taking it seriously, especially when playing with a friend. I had my bud playing Norway and he tutored my heir and turned him into a norse germanic-pagan viking and so the Cenation became a raiding hub that fucked all of Italy and the Middle East.

Wait what? Since when does Germany attacks Spain? Is that in the HPP mod?
Also i've had some insanely long Spanish civil wars before, lasting until 1942 or even beyond.
Wait what? Since when does Germany attacks Spain? Is that in the HPP mod?
HPP has a lot more chances for random wars to take place. I'm pretty sure there's a threat level that Republican Spain gets after annexing Nationalist Spain or someshit, it's odd
Every single game I've played as Rep. Spain has ended with the Germans just declaring war on me. It's true that mountains are great for defending but they do jackshit when you're outnumbered 5:1 and they have gobs of tanks.

oh yeah i see it developing in northern spain/galicia, they don't have enough divisions to cover the front

Fair warning, half of this has been "I can do this in Europa" and then him flipping out about not knowing how to go to char profiles
i absolutely despise arumba
"hehehehe let's play aztec vikings in russia xD"
yeah fair enough you can do that with the game but his cluelessness just doesn't help the fact that he seems casual as fuck

RIP QueenFunky Kong, King Dweeb II, and Fylkir Reefer II
Their reigns will be remembered for all of eternity
Also the most recent game I played with friends I had the intent to migrate my family around Europe, and succeeded in starting in St. Gallen and inheriting Barcelona and then Italy. House Spaetzelhosen will eventually rule Bavaria and East Francia as well once I murder a few more toddlers.

I haven't really seem him play CKII much, but I know he stopped playing because it was too easy. I think he seems casual because he's played it so much.

The reason he seems casual is because most of the time he seems to have absolutely no idea of what he's doing.

I can't stand Arumba. He's really clueless as to what he's doing. He reminds me of DSP a lot in terms of "Oh this isn't working 100% the way I want it to work? What a bad bug"
Worst thing is that he's the ambassador for Paradox to Reddit essentially
